With the amp bypassed is there enough volume coming through the speakers? I've read it's necessary to use a line out converter like the Scosche SLC4 so you can utilize the Bose amp to get the necessary volume.
EDIT: I believe those write-ups were in regard to keeping the stock Bose speakers, which makes sense as far as keeping the stock amp is concerned.

Yes it sounds wonderful bypassing the amp

@@garage_ninety_nine Did the bypass and installed the Kickers and an ATOTO head unit. While I was waiting for the door adapters for the Kickers, I left my Bose speakers hooked up, just to see if they would work. They did, but couldn't be turned up too loud bc of the ohms mismatch, of course. They actually sounded REALLY good; lots of bass. The Kickers are definitely lacking in that department. Still glad I did the swap, but wish the Bose speakers played nicely with aftermarket head units.

I’m up in Michigan too (and not far from you if I’m not mistaken) so if you ever want to sell the vette I’d be interested!

This may sound stupid but how do you remove the speaker after you e removed the 4 screws. Mine is stuck in place I can get tweezers between the metal but can’t pry it loose. Every video I watch it’s like it just falls out for everyone else

Your rubber seal may be melted to the door/plastic barrier back there
