- Fly fishing in the winter can be tough. Battling cold fingers, frozen guides, and frozen feet. However, the winter scenery can be spectacular and having entire stretches of river to yourself are definitely perks that make the challenges worth it. In this adventure, we travel to Coeur d'Alene River Idaho in hopes of finding some winter Cutthroat Trout action.

Rock Fish are usually found in saltwater. Maybe Jeff’s rock fish was spawning. 😂
Hahaha never know, probably ran up river 🤣 😂 😅
I think the best part of the cda river at this time of year is theres no other people up there.
@@aaronbutcher8571 absolutely 💯
Two words. Electric socks!
Now thats an idea! I haven't figured out a way to keep my feet warm when the water is so cold. I'm gonna be looking for some 🤔.
@@NWoutdoorsadventures Thank Scott Moses of PA Wood and Water on UA-cam. He talked about them in a video he published this month. Note he carries extra batteries too. :)
@@williamgunn1076 great to know!
Man I need a to get out there!
Get out there man! Before the crowds do 🎣🐟.
I'm constantly cleaning up cans & trash out of our lakes up here. Makes me sad.
Me and you both! Thank you for doing your part 🙂 all we can do.
I was so excited to see you guys out on the CdA River this time of year! It has to be one of my favorite places in the world (my profile picture was taken there). I'm glad you were able to catch some fish and enjoy the outdoors. Thanks for taking us along on this adventure!
Thank you for watching 😀
Its a very special river, over the years I've made some very special memories around that area.
So glad you guys caught more than just rocks 🤣
Dude still can't believe that happened haha 😂
Nice too see Jeff in the video!
Awesome winter adventure.
Thank you 😃 good way to break up that cabin fever!
Nice video!! That river and the one just south of it are a blast to fish this time of year.
Absolutely! Not to mention you have the whole place to yourself!
@@NWoutdoorsadventures The best part haha! The quietness this time of this time of year on those rivers is truly magical. Thanks for sharing your adventure!
Nice job! Love when you find that little pot of gold in the river. Good job of also not extracting e v e r y last fish from a spot.
Thanks man! We certainly got our fair share figured we leave them alone.
Stunning! Missing the north so thanks for this
Glad you enjoyed it!
NEXT time you catch a fish, take it to shore, YELL OUT this fish is for a Sasquatch. Throw the fish on the ground, on the shore, then go back on the water with your boat. THE Sasquatch will come and GET the FISH.
Will keep this in mind, Jeff does yell Sasquatch calls every 15 min down the river. Got to keep the legend alive.
@@NWoutdoorsadventures Sasquatches have Human knowledge. They understand English.
Stop hot spotting bro. Could you just not mention the river and instead focus on the fishing?
I do what I want bro 😤
