I appreciate how you find a positive thing to say even on the dishes that are misses. And the positives are still honest, not just a platitude. Thank you for your videos!
Rarely ever do I run across a dish that I really just don't find appetizing at all. Though the chicken here was close lmao. But I think that dish is specifically tailored for people who are watching their sodium or waistline. Definitely not a foodie's dish. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin you can still have bland chicken that isn't dry. Should have sent that one back. You spend enough money at the places that you shouldn't feel bad about sending something back. When I eat in Vegas its always comped so I never complain even if it's bad lol
I always pause and look at the menu, and I have to tell you 8 out of 10 times you order the same dishes I would get! It's so fun watching and finding out what all the items taste like. No one, describes flavors as well as you do. Thank you for putting out such great content!
Park MGM is our "go-to" whenever we stay at the Strip mainly because of the smoke free environment and the beautiful suites that we get comped. We have dined at the Primrose many times and really like the food there. Thanks for the video.
Aloha Shin! Gonna add this spot to my list. That shrimp cocktail was generous with 6. I adore a good Benedict too. Mahalo for an excellent find on the strip!
Hi Shin, Thanks for this excellent review. You always deliver such a colorful description on the variety of foods ordered. Looks fresh and visual presentation is delightful.❤
I’ve had breakfast at Primrose multiple times. I like the food, especially the Benedicts and their Garden Omelette. It’s really important to make a reservation or get there at opening. One downside for me how tight most of the inside seating is. It’s usually just me or one companion, and we always get seated at the smallest tables that leave little space between us and neighboring tables. The table is so small we can barely fit two meals on it. I would like to try the outdoor seating, will do so in September on my next visit. My other (minor) complaint is the small glasses they use for drinks. The iced black tea is served in a ridiculously small glass, which requires the poor servers to provide constant refills. Refills on iced tea are free, so it makes sense to use larger glasses for soft drinks and water. The servers are always lovely, and I have always been served good meals at Primrose. Given the choice, though, I usually end up either at Sadelle’s at Bellagio or America Cafe at NY-NY. Sadelle’s and Primrose’s food are equally good, but Sadelle’s offers more comfortable seating. America Cafe is open 24 hours and has usually good breakfasts at cheaper prices.
Where I was sat in the bar space, I thought I had a lot of space around me and the other tables but viewing the main dining room, it does look much more cramped. The patio was very nice looking, but even at 7am when I took the footage, it was 96 degrees outside so I would definitely only go during cooler seasons. I also love Sadelle's. I can't wait to do that video. Funny enough, I've probably walked by the America Cafe at NYNY at least 300 times and I've never had breakfast there. I've had a burger once at 3am. I'll be sure to try a lot of their brunch food when I make that video. Thanks for watching!
The vibe is casual yet elegant with nice soft dining music in the background. Something I would enjoy for Breakfast. I’d opt for the Benedict myself. Thank you Shin for another fantastic review. You do such a great job! ❤
A very nice relaxing atmosphere. Though by the end of recording, there was one lady who had 1 too many at the bar who was starting to get a little loud lol. I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching!
Breakfast is probably my favorite meal and this one does not disappoint! Thank you so much for making these videos Shin. You're always fair, honest and diplomatic (when it's not so great) about your reviews. I know that our future Vegas vacations will be made all the more wonderful with your reviews & recommendations. Have a great day!
This is the best birthday present!! I love brunch so much, and I’m really looking forward to Primrose. We’re staying at Park in a few weeks. My husband doesn’t love brunch like I do, but you highlighted some of his usual choices-they were actually some of your favorites. He’s excited now too! Thank you, thank you! (Today really is my birthday, and this video was almost as good as me going to brunch today!)
This is one of my favorite places for breakfast. I love both the food and atmosphere. The French toast and fruit platters were so good. The coffee was superb!
VWS: Food looked absolutely delicious 😋 ( maybe because I haven't eaten lol 😆) but the prices were obscene. $22 for six (6) medium shrimps 🍤, Soup 🍲 $14 ( tomato 😮), Simply Rip-off Chicken $28 good golly miss Molly, $20 for B&G with $5 for an egg 🥚 and $22 for measly little Club Sandwich 🥪 which looked more like it came from Denny's than a fancy pants 👖 place. Maybe I am bias towards Diners ( East Coast style) but that place was out of control on pricing. I do have to admit I liked the Pasta with Pesto & Salmon but at $35 too step for me. But thanks for the review now we know where Not to go ( but appreciate your hard work). See you Tuesdsy Peace ✌️ out !!
That French Toast was so good! I think my favorite is still at Sadelle's but it's been a long time since I've had it so I will have to try it again soon to see. Thanks for watching!
Shin, When you first say the cost of the meal, I feel a shock (Heh heh) go through my body, but when you show all the food you had, I begin to understand that, hey, it's a lot of food in Vegas. You do such a thorough job of fairly assessing and describing each dish. Enjoyed the review.
I know initial sticker shock is high but if you think about 9 entrees and 4 appetizers, I'm basically ordering for 10 people and so the price comes out a little closer to $40 a person after tip. Now that's still pretty expensive. You can get a decent breakfast on the strip for $20 so it's still double. Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching!
Shin, you should have ordered the shrimp and cheese grits for breakfast. I've ordered it when I was staying at Park MGM back in May 2024. It was an outstanding dish.
I'll keep that in mind the next time I'm at Primrose. I was actually just there recently having breakfast with a friend who was in town for a convention. Thanks for watching!
I'm of the same mind. One can only do eggs, bacon and toast so well but still some good flavors coming out of the kitchen at Primrose. Thanks for watching!
I love the French toast at Sadelle's. Been years since I've had it but I recall being very impressed. I do plan on doing that garden table one day. Thanks for watching!
Hi Shin, what a pleasant spot. The food looked great, I've never seen shrimp cocktail served with both lemon and lime and the chocolate wafers on the place with the brownie was pretty neat, all the plating with flowers and greens, very French! Karla in Cali.
The lemon zest on the shrimp was a really nice touch already. I didn't need to squeeze on any additional citrus. And yeah, I liked those little chocolate circles. They were kind of melty when they were closer to the hot brownie. It was good. Thanks for watching Karla!
Hii Shin!! Primrose is going on my shortlist to try next time in Vegas. We’ll be staying at the Delano so it’s not far from there. All the food looked really amazing with the exception of the avocado toast. I can’t wait to try it. Have a great week. See you Tuesday!
This place hits around $40 a person I'd say for breakfast which is quite pricey. You can still get a decent breakfast for $20 on the strip so it is about double the price. I didn't try their coffee but I will keep that in mind the next time I'm there. Thanks for watching!
There were a lot of people at the bar enjoying drinks and the all you can drink mimosas. Towards the end of my video, one lady at the bar looked like she already had one too many lol. Thanks for watching!
Looks like good healthy food but $300+ for breakfast is insane. I'm glad you're there to try all these dishes out so we don't have to get the simply seared chicken.
I know there's some initial sticker shock but that's not the cost of breakfast. It's the cost of making an informative video. At 4 appetizers and 9 entrees, I basically ordered for 10 people so it comes out to about $30-$40 a person at Primrose. That said, it's still pricey. One can get a decent breakfast on the strip for $20. Thanks for watching!
Another great video! Can you do a video at Sadelle's at the Bellagio please. Try their avocado toast, talk about the best one you'll ever have! Thanks again for all you time on these informative videos!!
Very nice inviting atmosphere. The fare looked okay. But I'll skip the prices ,its Vegas. I would try but I have a real problem with the parking fee ,yikes! We have our own car since we drive out from LA. Love the local places in the other side of the freeway. Ya just park your own car in the parking lot. Thanx for the review Shin !! Cheers..
That's interesting. If you're coming from Los Angeles, I thought you'd be used to seeing $40 a person breakfasts. Any time I've gone out to visit my folks in LA/OC and we go to brunch, I felt like I've paid closer to $50-$60 a person at least. That's not to say the local spots out here aren't amazing. They totally are and if you're a Vegas veteran and have done the strip enough times, the local food scene out here is too good to not try. And yes, parking fee is such an annoyance. I actually got the MGM credit card just so I can get the free parking. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin I totally agree my friend, expensive everywhere ya go . We do splurge when in Vegas its just part of the deal . It is what is . Cheers . Luckily we have native Vegas friends that have turned us on to many more local joints over the years!
I would totally go back to Primrose. Very nice breakfast/brunch here. I would stick to the breakfast items and steer clear of their lunch stuff lol. Thanks for watching Kyle!
Hm. The most recent times I went to the MGM Grand for food, I'd say the following: Lucini was mid. Greek Sneek was good. Grand Wok Noodle was fine. And after making food vlogs in Vegas exclusively now for over two years, I can tell you it's not just the MGM Grand. It's all expensive. Nothing is cheap on the strip. Thanks for watching!
I did try it. It helps slightly, but the chicken this day was so tough and dry that it was marginal at best. I just couldn't recommend that dish to anyone who's not watching their sodium/other stuff like I mentioned. Thanks for watching!
😮 wow, a few misses again 😢...that poor looking seared chicken, didn't even look appealing...the rest of the food was okay but could be better 😋...glad you enjoyed your brunch, til Tues...have a great weekend buddy ❤😊
The chicken was definitely geared towards people who must be watching their sodium or other factors but as mentioned in the video, if you're eating for pleasure, that is not the dish to order lol. Thanks for watching Jade! See you Tuesday!
Rather hoity-toity place. Was that the avocado seed in the middle of the toast? Still, looked like it had some nice offerings. The chicken and waffles looked good.
Yeah, I think someone watching their sodium or keeping to specific health goals can definitely appreciate it but like I mentioned, if you're eating for pleasure, so many better options lol. Thanks for watching Jerry!
I will be back to do downtown videos when F1 construction starts back up on the strip. Maybe in another month or two and I'll be doing another Fremont Street series. I'll be sure to include breakfast at the Downtown Grand this year. Thanks for watching!
I think they would give you more if you asked for it. I'm the same way and while for videos, I want everything to come out of the kitchen as standard as possible with no modifications, I typically ask for more hollandaise when I'm just eating on my own lol. Thanks for watching!
I was considering the crab benedict too but my server said the standard was her favorite so I went with it. I loved the standard so I'll have to try the crab one whenever I end up eating there again. Thanks for watching!
I prefer Mon Ami Gabi both for the food (I recall really loving their steak frites) and the atmosphere. That patio view is unmatched for brunch. Thanks for watching!
The chicken was definitely not made for foodies lol. And I think I'd recommend the breakfast options over the lunch offerings but the food was solid! Thanks for watching!
OK I get it, these are Vegas prices... but c'mon $12 extra for salmon on a $35 pasta dish, or $5 for berries on $17 pancakes. We're not ordering dry aged steak here. Also I don't get the simply seared concept... you put a bland piece of chicken on buttery rich mashed potatoes. Elegant but booshie. Nice video shin.
Yeah, I'd say Primrose is about double the price of a decent breakfast on the strip. But the atmosphere is really nice and the food is good. And I definitely get what you mean about the concept of the chicken to have the rich potatoes. Overall probably still less sodium and calories than eating anything else on the menu I think. And yes, definitely a bit of a bougie restaurant here lol. Thanks for watching!
Quite pricey at Primrose yes. I would prefer all food be perfect regardless of price at any restaurant though. And I definitely would have liked more turkey in the sandwich also. Thanks for watching!
You'd think so but as an Asian kid, I grew up eating nothing but pineapple cakes because they're given out at every event and gathering. So to me, a pineapple cake is incredibly boring. Thanks for watching!

The brunch food looks pretty good minus the seared chicken. Probably wouldn't mind hitting this place up next time im on the strip for brunch
Yeah, I think someone watching their sodium or keeping to specific health goals can definitely appreciate it but like I mentioned, if you're eating for pleasure, so many better options lol. Thanks for watching Jerry!
Shinster going for that Olympic gold. Yeah.
I didn't even think about that lol. A Parisian restaurant during the French Olympics lmao. Thanks for watching mafatone!
Hi Shin can you do a breakfast video at the Downtown Grand?
I will be back to do downtown videos when F1 construction starts back up on the strip. Maybe in another month or two and I'll be doing another Fremont Street series. I'll be sure to include breakfast at the Downtown Grand this year. Thanks for watching!
Shin question? Do you take it all home, or does your "crew" devour your left over table side?? Thanks
I think he’s a crew of one so I would think he takes it home
@@Sandra-ph4pp Really, so who is filming?
Sometimes he has a person or two join him.
@@johnjuarez8005He films himself and there are cameras with a stand.
I take it all home if I'm filming by myself. When I have friends along, I encourage them to take home everything. Thanks for watching!
Eggs Benedict is my favorite but I like more Hollandaise!!
I think they would give you more if you asked for it. I'm the same way and while for videos, I want everything to come out of the kitchen as standard as possible with no modifications, I typically ask for more hollandaise when I'm just eating on my own lol. Thanks for watching!
👍🤠
Thanks for watching Vickie!
Did you have to reserve a table Shin ?
I didn't and I was probably the 4th person in line when I went. I was there about 5 minutes before opening the day I went. Good luck!
The Crab Benedict there is delicious
I was considering the crab benedict too but my server said the standard was her favorite so I went with it. I loved the standard so I'll have to try the crab one whenever I end up eating there again. Thanks for watching!
@VegaswithShin definitely try it bro! I use to get it all the time when I'd stay there before I moved here. Their potatoes are solid too
Can you try Aroma Latin cocina?
I'll put them in my spreadsheet and see if I can get to it. Thanks for watching!
Were you a chef or cook ? Because you really know food
No, just a guy who loves eating lol
I'd still go for the benedict and bottomless rosés.
I'd probably do the same off camera lol. Thanks for watching Keith!
How would you say this compares to Mon Ami Gabi?
Personally i prefer mon over prim but both are good. Mon has a way better view. Prices about the same
@@VivaLasVegasX Looking at the menu, it looked like Primrose was more expensive for what you get.
I prefer Mon Ami Gabi both for the food (I recall really loving their steak frites) and the atmosphere. That patio view is unmatched for brunch. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin yw!
Very few misses. I would go there and not be concerned about ordering anything. (Except that chicken dish)
🤣🤣🤣
The chicken was definitely not made for foodies lol. And I think I'd recommend the breakfast options over the lunch offerings but the food was solid! Thanks for watching!
It really looks like a delicious high class restaurant and then all of a sudden.....
Pepsi.... PLEASE
LOL!
I was next to your table
Hopefully I wasn't too annoying! Thanks for watching!
@VegaswithShin No you were just fine!
Pepsi????
Sigh. One of my biggest gripes about the strip is how many places serve Pepsi and not Coca Cola.
Nice video shin.
booshie?
Yeah, I'd say Primrose is about double the price of a decent breakfast on the strip. But the atmosphere is really nice and the food is good. And I definitely get what you mean about the concept of the chicken to have the rich potatoes. Overall probably still less sodium and calories than eating anything else on the menu I think. And yes, definitely a bit of a bougie restaurant here lol. Thanks for watching!
I was distracted by the $40 grand slam tf 😭
Those prices are horrendous. All the food should be perfect at the very least. Thje club sandwich was sad, it should have been loaded with turkey.
Quite pricey at Primrose yes. I would prefer all food be perfect regardless of price at any restaurant though. And I definitely would have liked more turkey in the sandwich also. Thanks for watching!
Shinn gets the loss here...no win
I had fun doing my hobby so I felt like I won lol. Thanks for watching!
You can have brownie a la mode anytime. Boring choice. Should have gotten the pineapple upside cake.
You'd think so but as an Asian kid, I grew up eating nothing but pineapple cakes because they're given out at every event and gathering. So to me, a pineapple cake is incredibly boring. Thanks for watching!
Wildly over-priced...
You go after your food like a frog going for a fly...
Don't choke.
The food might jump away! And don't you worry about me choking friend. I've been eating my whole life. I'm a professional. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your videos. I'm not often much to criticize but wearing a sleeveless shirt isn't a high standard in better places NOT
Unless the website states business casual or above, I will always wear my sleeveless in the hot months of the year. My comfort means more to me than my looks. Thanks for watching!

I might even put that avocado toast at a 2 the more I think about it. It was mostly vegetable toast lol. I love how you do this! Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin I try to go by initial reaction.
