I heard that it was a rebranding, they shut down Teletoon retro though. Shows just aren’t as good anymore, because of lack of creativity, and lack of action, it’s all about the numbers and, about the money, and I feel that when the money came in, the love of the job died. I don’t wanna sound pessimistic, but I feel we’re gonna go into an age of conformity, because of the lack of originality and critical thinking being thrown out the window.

While I was more of a YTV kid growing up and I was losing interest in Teletoon near the 2010s, there were still a few shows that I enjoy in this era like Total Drama Island, Johnny Test, Wayside and Splicec (the latter is one of the biggest inspirations for my passion project show). A part of me is going to miss Teletoon and all it did for Canadian kids of my time.

Sure Grojband's songs are cheesy and 6teen can be silly, but we can get a good laugh at it. sometimes we just want to watch something stupid just to forget life for a while. I am sure many other people have a show they like to watch even if it is sappy. And I feel that Teletoon is slacking of, I can agree on you with that. And sorry you feel that way.

Once Corus took over the channel was history, Teletoon wasn't broken like 6teen and Total Drama Island had Series Finales because it matched Teletoons young adult demographic.
I've felt insane and crazy for so long trying to remember The Future Is Wild, because I never found JACK DIDDLY SQUAT about that damn show online. Descriptions and everything, never found it-

im not from canada, im from the uk, but right now detentionaire is on a channel called pop max, which i sadly cant watch anymore since june. every weekend evening detentionaire was on, its fucking great, the story is so interesting, and i just loved watching it but i cant watch it on tv no more, not because it isnt airing anymore its because i cant watch pop max, i dont have it on my tv anymore

+Ozzy you must have Teletoon French because English Teletoon hasn't aired the Simpsons since 2001, and Teletoon at Night dropped Family Guy, most of the stuff got sent to Cartoon Network Canada (ugh why couldn't Canada have gotten Cartoon Network when they were airing GOOD shows)
some of teletoon just wasn't watchable by the time 2005 rolled around the second they picked up Johnny Test it went downhill, I mean even Total Drama isn't watchable now, (this seasons contestants really annoy me and I just want to plain quit and it's only at the 5th episode tonight)

yeah but those were all animes (except Wayside, and even I felt it was stupid), the only anime I really did like that aired on that channel were Cardcaptors. I still believe the network started to go downhill when they picked up Johnny Test the only other good show from teletoon that season was Delilah and Julius (it's a shame it only lasted two seasons, I wonder if when they did the second season they used the same studio that did the second season of Ned's Newt)

some of teletoon just wasn't watchable by the time 2005 rolled around the second they picked up Johnny Test it went downhill, I mean even Total Drama isn't watchable now, (this seasons contestants really annoy me and I just want to plain quit and it's only at the 5th episode tonight)

+iHeartRyanStiles There were a bunch of good shows after '05 like Spiderriders, Digata Defenders, wayside and Skylands. I think teletoon lost all credibility as an "entertainment" network by 2009.
yeah but those were all animes (except Wayside, and even I felt it was stupid), the only anime I really did like that aired on that channel were Cardcaptors. I still believe the network started to go downhill when they picked up Johnny Test the only other good show from teletoon that season was Delilah and Julius (it's a shame it only lasted two seasons, I wonder if when they did the second season they used the same studio that did the second season of Ned's Newt)
