1:31 The bigger display on the Motorola Razr 50 ultra cover screen really captures my attention a lot more in comparison to the smaller display on the Galaxy Z flip 6 cover screen. This is not to take away from the Galaxy Z flip 6 display size but sometimes bigger is better (screen real estate) and in this case Motorola Razr 50 display is more captivating. 😎💯💪🏾👍🏾
The only negative with Motorola is them not updating firmware fast enough. The Razr 40 models are unbelievably still on Android 13!

Again as I said before in another post. Motorola does not have the phone share that Samsung does that means they don't have the income that Samsung does at least the phone department. You have to pay to have Android updated it's not free, if Google partners with Samsung who's going to get the updates faster and who's not going to get updates if Motorola has the lower phone share that means they don't have the power to push updates or pay for them. So the way that works is if Motorola becomes a higher profit share then Samsung's flip phones Motorola will slowly have the power now to force updates of course with money That's why they don't do it it's not laziness on Motorola's part it's money all comes down to money
@@shamelessplace11 Android the OS itself is free, but manufacturers need to customize the OS, test it, and deploy it. The razr software is functionally stock android with a few features. There is no excuse for the older razr phones to not receive the update as its literally on the razr 50 ultra! Aswell as this, other moto phones are already updated to Android 14.

Actually I would totally keep a phone, specially a flagship for 7 years or longer. My last phone was a Samsung midgranger I used from 2019 till last week and I only replaced it because the mikrophone died otherwise I would have waited an other year. I am unsure if a foldable can support such a long life span. I would slightly edge for the Samsung because of the software, including the Desktop mode when connceting to a montitor. Design and accessory I wise I would recommend people the Motorola, plus their non ultra model also rocks this year. Though I think some people miss the only time screen design from last years Motarola or Flip 4. This should be the basis a 400 to 600 $ model, I am quiet sure some people who want to use their phone less would be this.
If you want to keep using a phone for 7 years, don't buy a folding phone. They are very delicate, even the new improved versions.

I am currently using a pixel 6 pro. I have really no complaints about the device. If I have one, it's the battery. I am considering getting the Razr, not the Razr plus . Which is an even better deal.
I have to said both phone are really good and at the end is all about preference, I love Motorola and others love Samsung, at the end they both awesome phone and fun too, let's all enjoy our flip phones and let's be different 😉
And yeah we all change phones at least every two to three years so with the updates 3 to 4 years is more then enough at the end so hey let's just have fun with this two awesome flips phones.

They're both android devices and apple music can be used on android in general. So as others have said, both devices work.
One important thing to mention is that Samsung for the last 2 years on the US has allowed you to trade in the previous model for about $900-$1000 off making the price to upgrade $50-$100 if you include reservation discounts. I've never traded anything in with Motorola but i doubt they'll give you the new phone for $100 when trading in last year's model unlocked in the US with no carrier.
By now you know Samsung just raised there price and stopped that $100 deal...for a flip 5 you only get $650 not $900 any longer. Greed took over.
I have had both but my razr ultra from 2023 left a lot to be desired. Its too plain or pixelish for me. I prefer One UI customization and Good Lock.

The z flip 6 actually starts with 12 gb of ram. That's a HUGE error to make in a comparison video considering this can determine whether a person gets a particular device or now. No one is perfect, I know it happens. But just saying. 😛

You are never going to notice the difference in processor speeds on these phones bottom line they are nothing but a marketing tool oh I have the Snapdragon 7 oh I have the Snapdragon 7S on the s sucks this stupid you can't even quantify that.... UltraWide camera sucks they're next to useless in my opinion that is. Also the software I have been running Samsung since I left the palm tree that tells you how old are you. Samsung software is not smooth it's not fast it's bloated it hiccups it hangs you got to restart your phone over and over The less overlay you can get the better

Samsung hardware and software is really bad... Razr 50 Ultra is a MUST
A big difference that was glossed over in "software", is that you can run any app much more easily on the RAZR, but also things like notifications like 2-factor Google, can be done on the front screen. On the Galaxy Flip, you see the notification in a bar, but you have to open the phone to complete the task - was annoying.
Exactly. I'm waiting for real, hands-on information from someone that actually has had the flip6 in hands, if they fixed that issue. That's a no-go for me. I want to be able to do everything with phone closed.
@centopus the presentation confirmed its still all widgets and limited outside functionality. I ended up pre order the razr+ after the samsung presentation + confirmed price hike.
Moto is way better. Samsung LOOKS better, but Moto has produced a much better phone. As for samsung, Congratulations YOU bought (THE SAME) PHONE twice😂😂😂 keeping my Z Flip 5💪🏾👍🏾💪🏾

I’m interested why you would choose that? I still have the Galaxy 4 Flip and I have been limited with the small screen but have let it slide for the purple color.

I have the Z-Flip now… which I really really do love so much more than my iPhone…BUT….it has no memory and you can’t add a memory card. So now I’m down into bear bones in the app department and still I can’t add any new apps and I can’t update the ones I have…so it sucks and it’s time for an upgrade and I think I’m going with the Motorola.
I have found using a web browser rather than downloading apps saves me a ton of room. I keep my phone 3-5 year's

Motorola looks good when flip. The outside screen looks much better than Sami. The inside screen still Sami.

My galaxy note 10+ is still doing great and size/performance is better than 2024 phones. I am very frustrated that security patches are stopped.

I’ve been using iPhones for the bast 12 years, but my next phone will be Android.
Despite the Motorola looking nicer and having all these somewhat better features, I would feel a lot more comfortable with a Samsung phone.
He missed most important part. You can use all aps on small screen on motorola. However you can only use some generic apps on samsung. Definitely motorola beats samsung on flip phones. Plus motorola cheaper. Plus it has vegan leather. Samsung camera cut on small screen ugly as hell.

I only get a new phone when the old one literally cannot function anymore. I used my iPhone 4s until 2018 and been on the SE ever since. It's on its very last legs, have to charge it twice a day and half my apps won't function on iOS14 anymore but I don't think it can handle the upgrade to 17 at this point (especially with my measly 32GB storage). It's time for a new one. Flip 6 promises 7yr, which means I can probably squeeze 9, maybe 10 out of it. Sign me up with the 512GB and let's see how she rolls. We're hitting diminishing returns on upgrades in handheld tech, so the odds of something being as big an upgrade as the original SE to the Flip6 in another 7-10yr anyway is slim. I use it mostly to talk, text, google maps, read on my kindle app, and take pictures of my dog. I should be fine for a good, long time with this bad boy.

I got my Motorola RAZR 2023 for $300.
The most important feature for me was the Motorola (Ready For) software which is x100 times better than Samsung (DEX)
i use my Razr as PC by connecting it to a TV screen and it's truly amazing to use compared to Samsung DEX which is full of errors and useless.
you can even use ur external screen as a mouse touch pad which is crazy!
although I mainly use a Bluetooth mouse and a keyboard to play my Favorite game which is World Of Warcraft by using a cloud gaming platform (PlayHera) which makes my gaming experience 99% PC like.
The Samsung has superior build quality, better gorilla glass, better moisture/dust resistance, and enhanced Aluminium shell (yes Aluminium is a real term for the metal used in both products). Its a better product than the Moto imo for quality that matters most.
I have the Flip4 and its been great but I always upgrade every other release cycle. Just ordered the Flip6 today through Verizon. Got a $400 trade-in for my Flip4 (if you order directly through Samsung they have a $500 trade-in value for the 4). I ordered from Verizon just for convenience. They are also offering a free upgrade to 512gb vs the standard 256gb. I'm looking forward to it primarily 3 reasons. First is the new lens upgrade. Photos and videos from the Flip4 are disappointing, especially since Samsung is known for its superior lens technology. In addition, the new AI capabilities (which were not even mentioned in this video) are outstanding. I'm heading to Europe in a few weeks and look forward to using the new language AI capabilities. Another important feature that was not covered in this video: the vapor chamber for heat diffusion. It doesn't sound like a big deal but it is. The Flip4 gets VERY hot when connecting to bluetooth devices and Android Auto. The vapor chamber is designed to disperse the heat. All in all a very nice upgrade to an already great product with superior build quality.
I've had a few flip phones, and have had two die on me in the past (both Samsung). That being said, with the 24 month warranty, I was able to bring it in to the store and get it fixed or replaced. Motorola has a 1 year warranty... Unfortunately for Flip phones, warranties and good 'after service' is a must as the technology develops. If Motorola fixed this, I would jump on board.

Im getting the cheaper moto one. Im still iffy on the lifespan on these, and this would be a good introduction device for them.
This is a very superficial comparison, apparently based entirely on specs rather than actual testing. For example, every hands-on evaluation of the camera systems that I've seen, with no exceptions, has concluded that the Flip6 is superior. Why? Because it takes better pictures! Just looking at the numbers on paper tells us very little. Moreover, we don't need someone to recite the specs to us, since we can just look them up. Thorough, hands-on testing is essential, but there's none offered here.
3:35 I have Poco F1 from 2018 and feels quite new, does everything a new phone would do, just somewhat slower and not that great camera, but still it does everything.
So it is pointless in upgrading, not I am even considering upgrading once every 6-7 years.

My concern to contribute to ideas of scholars, the industry of phone companies to build on the idea of phone camera potions both back and front cameras. A slide glass close and opening to protect the camera when the device is laying on a floor or on the ground flat when not in use by the interfacer.
Absolutely waste of money. Fold and flip phone internal screen gets cracks after 7 to 8 months. My phone and all my friends phones same issue. Very disappointed. Too pricey. When it is fold too small to use. When open it is too big to use on the go. Camera not that great. Will never buy the fold phone. Don't fall for paid promoters.
I keep my phone for at least 5 years, unless it's broken beyond repair. So yeah, OS and security supports is really important to me.
As an iPhone user I have to admit that the cameras are still a no-go for me if we talk about Samsung...the only downside for me is that the Razr generation is still not offered in my country so it would likely come down to me buying it without a contract which sucks if you look at the price 😂

I dont trust the motorola razr quality hardware. When I felt the razr in person, it was flimsy and felt like it would break just holding it. I am a clumsy person who doesnt use a case and both the flip 4 and flip 5 have never broken on me. Previous to the flip 4, I've had slab phones, and I nornally break it 1 time throughout the 2 year contract. The Z series has become a very stable safe option and more durable than my previous slab phone. I did begrudgingly pre-order the flip6, it was only 57 after tax last year and is 427 after tax this year which hurts to think about

Motorola hands down, more bang for your buck. Samsung's slightly faster processor doesn't justify the higher cost. The Razr biggest downside is that it's harder to find skins/cases/accessories for Motorola as it's just not as popular.
