In all seriousness, it was crazy loud in there, but the engineers mixed the microphones so you barely heard the crowd, because this specific concert was used to promote the tour (1:32 in person was an insane pop). In actuality, this concert was a secret show that was only announced the night before, and the album had yet to come out, so people had only JUST been introduced to this song… that’s why the only real reaction is essentially “OMG JT IS HERE??!!??” Hard to properly sing along to something you’re likely hearing for the first time. Source: my roommate, who has Brian Frasier-Moore’s drum sticks, given to her backstage after rehearsals.
