Great idea. My two front spouts drain right over my two front compartments. A real pain when setting up or talking down. Always get soaked. Todays project. 👍👍👍
I never, would have thought of the rain water runoff trick. Simple and amazing!
That's ingenius. Beautiful in it's simplicity. Thank you!
Glad you like it!
That's brilliant, my friend. Well done!
Great tip. Plan to make this a permanent addition. Thanks for sharing.
Dude, you’re a genius! Lol. This is so cool. Thanks!!
😀 Easier the better.
This is a super tip. It should work great for the condensation runoff also. Thanks for the great videos
Thanks for this tip Tito...just happened to notice today, the rain goes off my gutter extension, but then falls back towards the motorhome again, so I'll give you 'invention' a try!
enjoyed the time lapse cleaning the roof!
Terrific hack Brian! That is amazing and looks simple to do.
Yes. Very simple!
Such a neat trick. Thanks
Sweet! Nice trick, thanks for sharing
Great ideas! TYSM for posting!
Learned something new and useful today.
You sir, are a genius.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your tip.
Thanks! Great and simple idea. BTW, your video production quality has always been good, but it is getting even better in the last year or so. I really enjoy watching your work. Thanks again.
Hey thanks! I really appreciate the feedback.
Man this is so simple and it works , I have a A class i have the plastic diverters the still make marks on the side of the rv , This is cool Thanks Brian
This is BRILLIANT! Thanks!
Glad you like it. I actually permanently installed one on the rear gutter with some silicon. Works great.
I always click on your video faster than I do any other videos that come through on my feed...keep up the great work 👍🏽
That's awesome to know! Thanks.
you sir are awesome! thanks so much! I just received my oxygenics shower head. getting ready to install now. thanks!!
Awesome. We still love ours.
Neat trick. I'll have to do this.
Made some and they work well, diverting the water off the awning cover and mountings. Water used to drip midway off the underside of the over bed cab and now with the clips I have been able to divert to the side front.I don't have side guttering like you and water runs off the front and back of the roof depending on parking surface slope so I will get two strips of guttering to stop this happening. Thank you for your post
Brilliant !
Great tip and it works I just did this today! Thank you
Great! Glad it worked for you. Thanks for letting us know.👍
So easy its crazy. Just noticed last week when getting out of my newly purchased Class C in the rain, the manufacturer decided to end the 'gutter' right above the cab doors, so if you're slightly nose low you get a really nice steady rain drip down your neck while getting in/out of the rig. I've used the plastic gutter ends like you talked about on previous RVs and kept losing them so was trying to figure out what I could do on this RV...and SHAZAM, found your video. Can't wait to go buy alligator clips! Thanks for sharing this idea!!
Great Dennis. Good luck. I just picked up a bag of clips last time at the store. Can't have too many.
BRILLIANT !!!
DUDE! i'm so doing this like right NOW! thank you!
Must be raining :)
Awesome Tito !! Thanks for the advice !!
You bet!
Thanks buddy! We're going to try this!
Works :)
Super helpful - thanks Tito!
Great Idea Tito..Thanks. Love your channel!!!
Thanks George!
Thank you so much 😊 I can use this idea for my tent tarp.
Great hack - love it! TY
Eezy Peezy love the tip.
Amazing idea! Thanks! I’m going to try it.
Easy peasy 😆
What a brilliant approach! :-)
Didn't know what you were going to say. The tension was really building. And then it turned out is was.... Surface Tension! Gotta love surface tension. :)
No better DIY hack than one that nobody usually thinks of, costs almost nothing, is quick and easy to do, and solves an annoying problem. And just think of all the uses for those clips when it's sunny out. ;-)
RVgeeks Ah yes. And I was hoping to pass it off as pure magical phenomena and start selling "Tito's Magic Water Wire" for $7 each (or a pack of 4 for $20). Damn. So much for my watered down plan :)
"Tito's Magic Water Wire"! :D and you've got the pricing worked out, even. ROTFL. Send me an Amazon link! Seriously.... great tip, Brian. Love it.
Awesome..thanks tito !
You are always very innovative Brian! This is a great tip. Thank you
Thanks Jorge! Hope all is well with you and the Fam.
RVwithTito Family is doing great. I am working on a few RV projects in preparation for our RV Road Trip to Florida at the end of may
Also very useful in Langley, BC. Thanks!
Works pretty well up here (or down here rather) in WA
Thank you, sir. I’m going to attempt this, on the boat!
Only takes a little rain, to crud up the windows with anything washing off the roof.
Great video... thank you... God Bless
Science! Looks like an effective simple hack.
For sure. Works really well actually.
Thanks for the AWESOME idea!!!!!
You bet!
Great videos to watch we have a class C also
Well done!
Your beast cleaner and polish for your sides and windows is 2-3 caps of kerosine in a square to oblong bucket and use a long handle 18inch pad swivel to clean and then rinse, thats how they used to wash mercedes benz in germany when they left the factory an old german who worked there told me that
Great tips
Neat trick!! Ty!
Cool idea thanks for sharing
You're welcome!
Great tip!
great tip! I will try it. Thanks.
Thanks! Works well...and it's still raining.

Yup. Today was just like yesterday, and tomorrow...raining.
Yes gentlemen, I am in Vanc WA too, and the rain is killing me. I am jonesing to get out camping in some warm weather. AAAAGGGGHHHH!

I think so. If someone starts selling these, just remember you saw it here first :) Better yet, just make your own.
Thanks so much for this hack 0:31
You bet!
What a great stupid simple idea.. Man.. Good tip.. Thanks.
Right?! Too simple and cheap to make.
Dagnabbit, I'm gonna build me some. Seriously, thanks a lot. haha
What a great idea. I think you should get the most genius award. I'm going to do that on my RV. Now, can you leave them on while driving or do you have to take them off before heading out? Thanks for sharing.
I typically take them off before driving, but I suppose you could leave them on. Whether they stay on or now will probably depend on where you have them. Just keep some extras on hand.
Genius
Great idea. Will it work with existing gutter extensions?
I like that, good idea. How often do you swap out the clips for new ones? I'm guessing that they start rusting eventually.
Great idea. I made four of them moved them around in different places buy isn’t working.
May have to bend them down at a sharper angle. Have to think like water :)
Subscribed!
What a great tip (pun intended). Of course it doesn't rain in So Cal, except for this year.
I can just see wire art as the next step for this idea.
Brilliant! If only my greatest concern was discoloration! Instead from my sagging roof my AC isn't draining rt and I have drip drip drip drip drip on my head!
I do something similar with wooden clothespins..
Thanks for posting. I think my gutter up there, same as yours has a leak and its coming into the bedroom I think I need something up there before it goes into the original channel so this is what I am searching for now.
Glad I could help. There's alot of spots to put these.
Rainy Day People
Yup. They don't talk, they just listen cuz they've...heard it all. 😊👍👍
It appears RV manufacturers are noticing these things. No water runs down the sides from the roof of my 2019 Coachmen Catalina (my third travel trailer). It's all effectively directed away. Of course, if the wind blows, I'm sure at least some rain water is blown back onto the trailer. I just haven't yet stood out in such a storm to see how much.
I've since permanently mounted one on the back gutter with some adhesive sealant. I did this when I was finishing my delamination repair of that area and had to remove and replace the gutter. Works great. I posted a recent video on Instagram about it.
This is awesome. I was just attempting to make gutter extenders out of pvc pipe cut lengthwise . This is actually much easier. Back to the hardware store I go. Could a plasic coated wire hanger cut into pieces work with the aligator clips. And how do you get clips to stay on the wire ?
I crimped the clips onto the wire. I've also used plastic weed wacker cord which works well. What I have now is a wire that is permanently attached to the end of the gutter with some silicon...so no clip.
@@RVwithTito I did this yesterday and was super pleased with it. My a/c runoff was hitting the sidewalls . Not anymore though. If anyone is having that issue, try it you will be glad that you did !
Do you leave the clip and wire on, while travelling? This looks like an easy fix. I live on Vancouver island. We are getting a lot of rain now. I just raised the front end to direct the water to the back end. For some reason the back extenders are longer. Thanks great video.
Yes. I leave them on but I occasionally lose them. I actually sealed one right to the rear gutter (no clip). Nice wind storm and rain today too across the Straights from you.
That is brilliant! I do have 2 questions tho:
1) do you only put those up when its raining? (take em down when traveling right?)
2) Could you clarify the type of wire you are using? Plastic coated? Hollow? Does the rain just flow off the side of the wire? Its so amazing. I have an Airstream and Airstreams and water don't mix well. I'm going to look at the kind of gutters I have too for this to even work. I'm guessing you just have to play with the locations when its raining to figure out the best places to clip them. Great video! It looks easy enough for me to do.Thanks so much!
I usually take them down when driving. The one by the awning I can leave up and it seems to stay put. I also put a cover on the RV periodically, so I have to take them off to do that. For wire, I use thicker household solid wire that has a plastic coating on it. And yes...you just have to play with the locations to find the right spots.
Thanks so much for getting back to me. I looked for some of the components to make these for a trip we just took to Moab Utah (Rain in the forecast for 2 days) But didn't end up making them, but I am going to make them. I found some places to clip them on the Airstream. I'll let ya know! Thanks again.
Rainey Shafer I wouldn't worry about it. I don't use them at all when on the road, only when parked at home for periods of time.
I like the idea, would like to just clue a strip of .095 weeder plastic cable.
+Ed Ginsberg Thanks. That's a great idea too instead of wire. I have a spool of that stuff laying around as well but it's bright orange.
Follow-up: I made a couple using the weeder stuff. Unfortunately, you can't bend it to point in the direction you need which is critical to its affectiveness. So, for that reason, I'm sticking with the wired version. Thanks for the idea though.
use La Awesome for stains. Dollar stores
curious what kind of motor home you have gas or diesel? how is the engine doing you fulltime?
Gas. Engine is great. Not full time.
Do you leave these on when you are driving? Do they stay on or do you have to remove and replace when it rains?
I only have one on the back now. I used some silicon to keep in place all the time even when driving.
Thank you Tito!! Great idea! :-)
You're welcome. Let er drip!
I bet you could use a metal coat hanger
Yup. I bet you could.
My holding tank is leaking
Good tip thanks
