I mean back then we had HEF, now we have surges which are only 3% at 1 and roughly 5/6% at 3 (not entirely sure on this last one). Releasing this perk together with the new mods without testing it was definetly dumb tho.
Personally, I'm thinking maybe we make it so that there's not a single subclass with the bizarre ability to generate pickups with 0 kills or effort, in contrast to literally everything else where a kill is necessary
The only change necessary is making elemental shards only work in pve, y'know like it used to. Having a perk that directly synergizes with your subclass abilities is cool, and forcing the trade-off for using your abilities to defend yourself or prime yourself for more damage is an element of risk reward that you don't get in the game besides equipping a healing grenade.
With the Death of Core Pinnacles, I have zero reason to do Crucible outside of IB, so I don’t even have to THINK about this shit for a while (even then, I’m sticking with Void Titan for Bastion (might even hunt for that new chest Exotic to replace my Synthos))
I'm toying with solar hunter and a spare rations with swashbuckler. Knife activated two shot, which for a weighted knife lover like me, is really good.
@@see-em-ex I play controller on console and with pc software to bind the controller to keyboard and mouse, it's not that substantial of a difference. On both I've have had knives that phased through people's torsos, and knives that counted as body shots while sticking out people's foreheads.
Once again, another reason why the PvP and PvE sandboxes need to be fully separated. As-is, it simply makes that Hand Cannon quite useful in PvE when dealing with some tankier ads; however, it obviously breaks PvP considerably and even more so for one Class's Subclass. If Bungie knew what they were doing, you'd have strong PvP weapons dropping only in PvP that can only be used in PvP and strong PvE weapons dropping only in PvE that can only be used in PvE. Then, things like this wouldn't happen as often and, when it did, it would be MUCH easier to deal with and adjust perks, damage output, etc, whatever was broken.
I’m considering doing a void breach or ionic Trace focus with the perk so I can keep using the artifact builds with it. I’m just worried about consistency, being able to frequently spawn traces or breaches to refresh the buffs.
Along with the fragments, primary weapons do more damage against stasis crystals (to destroy the crystals with one shot) and the stasis shards fly towards you (saves you time overall because you no longer have to collect them manually)
Just...uncharged melee the crystals. You can easily break 2-4 crystals with a single uncharged melee. No need to waste time shooting them and breaking them one at a time
I think it's quite clear Bungie needs to deprecate the Stasis aspects that only generate Stasis shards and convert them into fragments. No other subclass has item pickups which operate that way. So one fragment that generates them on fully freezing an enemy, and the other on defeating a slowed or frozen enemy.
That aspect has needed removing or tweaking for the longest time anyway, afaik. It's not too common, but overshielding cerberus+1 titans are still the most obnoxious strategy known to man
This could also be effective on Hunters. Shatter dive shoot. Granted it is FAR easier for Titans since they can literally just slide into a stasis crystal which is literally free. Versus having to have a stasis crystal and then use hunter dodge to shatter dive, but still relatively effective.

I feel like requiring ur whole grenade and breaking the crystals is so much set up that this is not that broken, its not a mid combat perk but a pre combat advantage which is the only reason people are talking about it, kill clip on 120s had more up time and while granted it was nerfed it was not meta defining so with this perk having less up time in combat because you can only get it with the grenade i dont think its meta breaking/defining at all
It would sure be a shame if someone told you that Kalli farming gives you Deep engrams for only about 30 seconds of work. And that those engrams can drop red borders from this season.
Why are surge mods active in pvp? Seems like there would be too many instances where a damage perk could stack like this. Without the surge mod, its only 96 to the head.

Too be honest that Titan Aspect has needed tweaked for a while now. Not sure how to do it, but making shards from breaking crystals and having about a dozen different ways to make crystals is strong in both PvP and PvE. Before the mod changes, I regularly ran stasis Titan for charged with light builds because it’s dummy easy to make shards. Maybe start by reducing the fragment slots from 2 to 1, and then maybe have it intrinsically put a cool down penalty on your abilities to slow it down some. Like while it’s equipped, your melee, grenade, and class abilities have a 15% longer cooldown or something. Doesn’t completely destroy this strat, but puts some negatives on it. Slows it down, has less build crafting potential. Just an idea. That or reduce the damage buff on that perk from 20% to 10% in PvP.
The perk needs to be tweaked not the Titan subclass that almost NO ONE uses in general. We've gotten enough fucking nerfs for SEVERAL seasons now.... Enough.
They had better not nerf behemoth titans. They are one of if not the worst titan subclasses for pvp. I'm totally okay with that perk being toned down to like 5~10% increase in pvp or even being reduced to the level of just an additional damage mod.
Could just change the amount required per element collectible, or the amount of time given based on collectible type. Stasis is the only one that’s particularly easy to get, so it could require more. Although, you basically have to give up an ability to get that damage buff on Titan in the first place, so you are trading the damage or utility you’d receive from those.
There are a ridiculous number of primary weapons that can one-tap and two-tap already, so this isn't really anything different than what we have. Prior to this existing I was consistently killed by one shot or two from primaries.
With how easy it is to proc with stasis shards, I wish this perk could proc by destroying tangles as well as throwing. I'm a primary PvE player, and throwing tangles is just not my bag lol not saying I won't do it, I'd just rather shoot them
The aspect should not be changed, Behemoths are already in a weird spot and need their own love. However nearly free activation of a 25% buff seems excessive. paired with invisible hand of course.
I think stasis just needs a buff in general (excluding shadebinder ofc) bust most of the changes need to be fixes, i.e revenant tornado not going through floors, proper tornado targeting, maybe a buff or revert in pve to renewals glacial quake could get bonus damage to shatter maybe, but overall the subclass is kinda just not effective at its job

Controller players get insane aim assist on the knife, kbm players have to be thinking in the 4th dimension to hit it consistently

All i got from this is make stasis titan build to freeze pvE over in hell and let lances and spikes reign
...So could they please leave it alone for PvE?

There are a ridiculous number of primary weapons that can one-tap and two-tap already, so this isn't really anything different than what we have. Prior to this existing I was consistently killed by one shot or two from primaries.

With how easy it is to proc with stasis shards, I wish this perk could proc by destroying tangles as well as throwing. I'm a primary PvE player, and throwing tangles is just not my bag lol not saying I won't do it, I'd just rather shoot them

The aspect should not be changed, Behemoths are already in a weird spot and need their own love. However nearly free activation of a 25% buff seems excessive. paired with invisible hand of course.
weirdest spot to be in hitting almost 1 million damage from shattering crystals on a boss and now easy 2 taps
I think stasis just needs a buff in general (excluding shadebinder ofc) bust most of the changes need to be fixes, i.e revenant tornado not going through floors, proper tornado targeting, maybe a buff or revert in pve to renewals glacial quake could get bonus damage to shatter maybe, but overall the subclass is kinda just not effective at its job
