The way I interpreted Youth is pretty similar to you guys. Mingi wrote these lyrics when he was on hiatus due to his mental health. They both go through a lot, even though Yunho rarely shows it. The place where they “rest” is within each other, and they lean on each other a lot. They have been friends since middle school, so this song hurts even more.. LITERALLY CRIED FOR HOURS😫🥲
Ok so the unit songs are have a free range of interpretation but the actual meaning of the songs are: MATZ (the 2 eldest) “I will burn the world with you” -Hongjoong and Seonghwa got each others backs no matter what. IT’s You ( 3 best friends trio) “Even if the world is against you I will be by your side” -Wooyoung, Yeosang, and San struggled with confidence and self-esteem but after meeting each other they became each others strength and now non of them feels alone. So the It’s you is actually them telling each other that they are each other strength. I'll say this first: ATEEZ as a group does get along really well each member has a special relationship w the other members but there are "special" units in the group according to atiny and the members themselves you missed this mv but the two eldest members Seonghwa and Hongjoong aka MATZ are a unit. They consider the other their best friend. They are close but don't flaunt it as much as the other pairings. Wooyoung San and Yeosang have an interest dynamic cause it's 3 pairings in one lol so woosan = Wooyoung and San (they are very close they even have matching tattoos) woosang = Wooyoung and Yeosang (they've been friends for 8+ years and Wooyoung joined KQ bc of Yeosang) sansang = San and Yeosang (San is obsessed w Yeosang lol so much so that he always claims that Yeosang is his) Yunho and Mingi are known as Yungi or twin towers - they've been friends for 8+ years as well
Thank you sm for your reaction to It‘s you!! 🫶🏻 It‘s literally one of my favorite Ateez songs.. the vocals are just chef kiss 💋 and I‘m so happy that my ult yeosang finally got many lines to sing and to shine in the mv. Back then he always got the least lines out of all ateez songs since he was insecure about his voice. He later on requested for more lines but the producers still didn‘t know how to work with his deep voice so he was forced to sing in a higher pitch. (Yeosang actually got the deepest voice out of ateez) I‘m happy that the times have changed now and we get to hear more of him. Yup. Btw all ateez members did part on the song writing process on their unit songs. You guys should react to their other unit songs too :) Matz - Seonghwa, Hongjoong, Everything - Jongho (released on the 23th February)
I think the producers decision to let Ateez sound grow and mature with the guys was a definite win. Yeosang is just flourishing in this series. They really put his deeper tone to good use especially when they contrast it with Jongho like in Dune (do we ascend to heaven with Jongho or sink to the underworld with Yeosang 🤔). Thank you KQ for showing that maturity does has its good points 😉
I know the length of the Ultimate Guide to ATEEZ 2023 is intimidating, but I've seen more than one reactor, who follows a lot of groups, say it's the best guide they've watched--it's super well done. Many reactors break it into 2 or 3 parts to make it more manageable. One fun show to watch is KQ Fellaz which is a pre-debut show that followed their month long dance training in LA. They've grown up so much, it's charming to see when they were such little cuties. I highly recommend the other unit songs--the difference between the remaining unit songs makes these two songs sound similar in comparison. 😂
i know right oml that switch in the beginning with yeosangs part is so good and prolly my fav part , also oml wooyoung getting chorus makes me so happy bc my boy has been robbed of lines for too long , and also ...san ....i refuse to speak abt its you san (i am still recovering)
