In regards to the large cap size, try a WiGrip (Amazon). That's how I secure my units and I avoid using clips and pins. It keeps my unit super secure, my units lay flat and my edges are protected. Great $25 investment!

If i use a wig grip do i need to glue hair down or will wig grip and elastic band keep hair in tact

Yes, I still have it and wear it. The hair is still good, but it’s a little dryer than it used to be. Other than that, It’s still perfect
