The scripture citations are wonky. "Gen" for Genesis? Customary to say it fully though written as abbreviation. "Matt" really" Mathew. Those quite fluent in the Bible would easily read out Mathew. Just weird.

I was raised a Catholic, and met Seraphim through this reading when I was about 18, it sowed a seed in my mind that the Catholic Church was not feeding me as it should be. I then encountered Orthodoxy in all its complexity. I was a devout Catholic, so it took me nearly 10 years to understand what the Lord was calling me to do.
But since I have been Orthodox now for 40+ years, I have never looked back. There is a limit to what you can do with this revelation in the Catholic church, as it has deviated from the true apostolic succession. Use this reading to start the search for the pearl of great price.
