- Description: This was a special order LED board made by Custom LED for the members of wrist twisters dot-com. This shows how I installed it and how the wiring goes. This unit is programmable for the number of flashes when applying the brake. It has both Red and Amber LED's so it can be used with integrated indicators, or can be used in tandem with existing indicators or used just as a taillight/brake light.
The second video shows the taillight in daylight, fully assembled and functioning.

No, haven't had any issues with it. It is currently on my 599, as they share the same taillight housing.
So the 3-prong white plug and the 3-prong black plug that would plug into the back of the bulb sockets are not needed? They were cut by a previous owner, and the replacement brake harness is around $40.
It uses the wiring harness is all, the entire internal assembly of the taillight is replace with this unit, so the plugs for the bulbs are removed.
You don't need them, even if they were set up to plug directly, you should be able to splice the wires and solder them. There should be install instructions on CustomLED's site.
Hey man i am wondering if you can use this light just as a brake light and keep the same rear indicators on a 919? I want the led brake light for better visibility but can't have the turn signals where i am
Does this kit require the stock bulb plugs? The ones that split from the single plug on the rear wiring harness?

My 919 is an '03 but I'm computer stupid so I may have to just call them......Do you remember the cost?

Stock red is fine - smoke lens, eh, try 58cycle.com You can also use a lens for the 599, they are the same part.
does the custom led come with instructions or no?
It did come with instructions on how to program it. You can also download the instructions from their website.
