When I go with your link to purchase the oil filter, send me to the filter HF131 but amazon said tha don’t match my scooter 2006 Suzuki Burgman AN400. Amazon match my scooter with oil filter HF132.. any idea? And what about the small and big O-Ring? Good video btw
I am a motocross racer for all my life and doing all the maintenance but when it comes to my Burgman I always watch your videos first before working on it 😃 Thanks M 👍🏻
Mitch, I followed your instructions. It worked perfectly. Thanks for all your efforts in producing these videos. You help a LOT of people doing these. Thanks again! Randy Sanderson Phoenix, AZ 2007 Suzuki Burgman 400 (5, 000 miles on odometer)
Always love the straight forward information in your videos. Looking at Burgmans now, and notice that 4 years ago, they were obviously cheaper than now (2021). I think same is true for most bikes though, thanks to our politicans.
Excellent Instruction video . Very detailed explanation along with visuals. The text with the video is a nice touch. Please contact other manufacturers and offer to make instruction videos for there technicians. You have a God Given talent for teaching. A good teacher can break down a complex procedure to a point where an average IQ person can do it. There are a lot of today’s instructors who can’t educate their technicians. In today’s world things change so fast and so completely that some of the instructors really don’t have a solid grasp on the subject they are trying to teach. Manufacturers based videos with your style of teaching are the answer. You can (as a technician) have the video on your laptop for a refresher on the procedure with torque specs, proper tools and even visual cues on how to remove and install components. The manufacturers are not going to get the experienced technicians they have been accustomed to getting. Look at the quality of the average graduate. This is what you have to work with. The world is in desperate need for teachers like you.
Thank you so much for your excellent videos. I'm finally changing the airfilter, oil filter, and even the seat lift myself.. never done it before so thanks for giving me the confidence to try.
Thanks, I would guess there would have been a 50/50 chance I would have thrown that oil filter O ring away as it stuck to the filter and I had dropped it into the oil in the oil pan. THANKS Mitch.
Hey Mitch, this Is Chris, you helped fix our Honda PCX 150's on Maui. Anyways, Looks like we're getting two new Burgman 400's, and this video shows that it's a lot easier to change the oil on these as far as where the filter and drain are located. The PCX's were tougher to keep the oil from getting on other surfaces as I t was tucked in more. Aloha for the video.
Hey Chris, good to hear from you! That's awesome! New burgman is amazing! Yeah for sure easier to change oil ... what year of burgman are y'all planning to get ?
Thanks Mitch for doing these videos. Very helpful. I’ve owned practically every bike out there and by far I love my 2008 Bergman 400 the most of all; gets 70 mpg and the only thing I’m challenged with is the data center and how to set it. Been riding 59 years. Thanks 🙂👍
You have a new subscriber because all your video on working on the burgman is great step by step instructions wish we lived in the same city i would pay you to do all my maintenance work on my scooter keep up the great work
Ciao Mitch, just about to buy my first Burgman. After watching your channel it gives me loads of confidence to tackle the maintenance myself. You are so organised and easy to follow. Love the videos. ❤
Great channel, I come here whenever I work on my scoot. I just put in 1.5 qts and that will be at the very top level once it is run and circulated. Manual says 1300 liters which is 1.373695 qts and likely puts level mid window. I want as much as I can get in there due to "that ain't a lot of oil" and I run on the highway most of the time. Just letting people know, they can do as they please. Thanks for these videos. Peace
Hey Mitch, You know how you said we need an 8mm socket for the filer change? I did that and it almost stripped the bolt but then I quickly changed over to a 5/16th socket and it's perfect.
Thank you for NOT talking. Pure gold other sites:"Twist counter clockwise on the filler cap to release internal pressure. Very, very important! Atmospheric pressure will push out the oil. Atmosphere is not just Oxygen. It is mostly Nitrogen. Many the night I have talked to my wife about atm pressure. She doesn't get it. hours and hours about gravity, mass, and the blanket of atm. She still won't have sex with me. Once I changed my oil in Denver and made adjustments to my funnel for elevation....." Shut up!!!!
Waffle-free! Thanks. It all seems obvious but it's all too easy to forget to check the O rings and the arrow indicating the right way up on the oil filter cover.
Thank you Mitch for the very well made informative video . I enjoy doing the work myself saving money from the shop rate and feeling like I’ve accomplished something ! Keep up the good work sir
Greetings again, could you give advise on the following: OILtype that is best for scooters or AN400 in this case. I use 10W-40 synthetic Mobil 1 in my car. Use Castrol 10W-40 synthetic for motorcycles on my two bikes. There is a MA2 kind of scooter oil that I am not familiar with. Which do you use or reccommend?
I think that this also applies to 2022 burgman. I’ll definitely double check with the manual owner to make sure. It stated that first oil change at 600 miles, but I plan to do oil change at 500 miles. Your thoughts?
Again a great "mitch" helping video...only looking for your video's to service my burgman k8...works Super every time....thank you for your great help and time to do this.. Grz
maybe you're very strong, or im very weak. Getting my scooter on the stand not very easy. Mitch just puts it up there no problem in Sandals. Thanks for the videos. Have you ever done a timing chain on Burgman 400, 2007-.

Thanks very much for the vid. I noticed you suggest putting oil on the o-rings when reinstalling - but you seem to be using a cream? Pardon if it's a dumb q - but what are you actually using? Thanks in advance.

Great step-by-step video, Mitch. Impressed at the clean work and breaking out the torque wrenches was a professional touch. Always wanted a Burgman.
Thank you Hanlon! Go and get a Burgman :) These days now you could find one little under $2,000 :)

What kind of filter is that? I like the metal crimp. Looks like a good one.
Nicely done! Love the birds chirping as well!

I'm still stuck on the part where he was able to put the bike on its center stand in a sandal with zero difficulty.
I will make a video about how to get heavy scooter on center stand in easy way
Thank you for NOT talking. Pure gold

If you remove that cap first it should drain the oil faster.
Briilaint tutorial ,easy to follow and short . Thanks .
You're welcome!
Amazing job!

No problem!

No cream, it's the cap off the new oil carton. Rather than dipping his finger in the carton he uses the lid.
Hi, how to fuel Filter Replacement K7 ?
Grazie Mitch's.
Thanks you 👍
Well done video. Thank you Mitch!
What oil consumption (ml to 1000km) is normal for this engine?

Can anyone help while doing my oil change on my 2008 burgman 400cc I noticed my oil filter didn't have the small o ring on the filter or inside the housing do anyone know if it needs one or not
How many quarts is recommended? Manual says 1.4 with filter change. Others say 2. Your video says to stop and not overfill fill line.
Yes stop before the full line on oil window.
