    The other night before I got into bed, I remembered I had left my rosary beads in my dress pocket. My partner put the dress into the washing pile, so I said “please make sure you take the beads out of my dress if you go to wash it” as I was really worried they would be destroyed if they went through the wash. In the morning I got up, the beads were lying beside my bed. They were no longer in my dress pocket. I told my partner, and he did not put them there. It’s only the two of us at home.

    I pray 3 Rosaries a day...many times even 6 a day. I go to Mass daily but am in hospital now so I do spiritual communions. I'm in the hospital now for 4 weeks with GBS, a disease of the immune system...very painful. I experienced a profound signal grace...I believe I saw Jesus and Our Lady this past November. I was walking my dog, a Belgian Shepherd, and had just passed a statue of a child Angel. I always pray Hail Mary's on my walks for souls in Purgatory and for poor sinners. I saw a silhouette of a teenage girl with a little boy in her arms about 200 feet away from me walking at a 90 degree angle across my path. She wasn't wearing a dress...just pants/jeans. As she walked across the street the sun lit up around her and the child and at the very last second, she turned and faced me with their heads both coming together facing me. Then the sun blotted out the silhouette ...I ran with my dog as fast as I could and it only took a few seconds to get there but no one was there. The reason I think this was Our Lady and the Child Jesus....they were walking down Bradley Street but coming directly from the corner of Bradley Street and Trinity Crescent. I also wonder if God answered my persistent prayer for the past 6 months to live a more penitential life with this GBS diagnosis?

Their car had to be pushed off the road. but my spouse's car was completely fine. not even a scratch and both taillights were in perfect condition. no issues getting home or needing repair. my baby boy had a gut feeling that day and god protected us in an unreal way.

    @gabiafterhours Hi Gabi! I wanted to ask if you pray the Luminous Mysteries? My rosary group only prays the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious as in the traditional Church. Have you ever heard of anyone hearing from Our Lady to pray the Luminous mysteries? Thank you!

    • @reginabrowning8278
      @reginabrowning8278 Місяць тому +9

      He talked about this in his first pints interview. Yes, he encourages the luminous. Pope pius x added to the rosary by extending to the Hail Mary prayer by adding the “holy Mary mother of God…” portion. Also pope (Saint) John Paul II added the luminous and Gabi believes Jesus gives us what we need during our time. Why not pray the luminous? If pius added to the rosary can’t jp add as well? Not only that, all thw great saints have prayed the entire rosary. How fantastic to be able pray more than the saints! It is a blessing!
      Some people are against praying the luminous but try adding it in to the entire rosary you’re already praying and you will see graces flowing from it!

      Baptism, first mystery, a waning sacrament
      Marriage, second mystery, a sacrament under assault
      Proclaiming the kingdom of heaven, third, propagation of the faith
      Transfiguration, fourth, the church (you) is in constant need of this
      Eucharist, fifth, the source and summit of our worship
      If you cannot see the need to incorporate these areas into your prayer discipline, and what better way than the rosary, then I don’t know what else to say except there isn’t room for a purist mindset in Catholicism.

      "Every good endowment and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change."
      That means nothing that any of God's creatures have is due to themselves. Every bit of glory and merit, right down to our existence, comes from God's grace. It all comes to us on a platter, every good thing that we do, every virtue that we have. Of ourselves, we are completely impoverished. It is only by receiving things from God that we have anything at all.
      Our Lady is distinct from the rest of creation (human and angelic) in two ways: first, she was given more grace than anyone else. I've heard it said that she has more grace than every other creature combined. Second, she accepted every bit of it. No graces too large, no graces too small. Including the graces that came in the form of terrible suffering, worse than any other mere creature endured. Including the graces that came in the form of terrible sacrifices, such as that of her Son's Passion. And she did it without hesitating, retracting, or counting the cost, not even once, not even a little. We reject graces all the time, that's why we sin. God always gives the grace to escape temptation and avoid sin. We don't accept it. Regularly. Repeatedly. Ad Nauseum. We particularly avoid the graces that are attached to suffering. I'm quite certain that I've never managed to get through an entire day without rejecting God's grace at least once, and I'm quite doubtful about an hour. I can't imagine an entire life.

      @@jerome2642 My point also remains that my experience (and that of others) is as stated. Obviously it's humanly impossible to monitor every single conversation that every single confessing Roman Catholic has or has had throughout history and compare it. When I listen to Protestant messages they primarily talk about one of the Trinity. Mary's name probably comes up two to three times a year in my church services or Bible study.

    • @duathellto1460
      @duathellto1460 Місяць тому

      I expect that some of this comes from all the arguing with Protestants (and sometimes other Catholics) that we've had to do about the importance of her. A lot of Catholic conversation across the millennia has to do with responding to various errors, so the prominence of this or that topic in a given time period is related to the prominence of the errors of that time.
      Some of it has to do with Protestants not recognizing when we are talking about Jesus. We don't always say "Jesus" or "Our Lord". There's a very long list of titles and devotions for Him that aren't immediately obvious, such as the Sacred Heart, Divine Mercy, Holy Face, Infant of Prague, etc. And of course, Eucharistic adoration and the Mass are all about Him. Even the Rosary is about Him: the vocal prayers are to support meditation on the mysteries of His life and our salvation. Our Lady is ultimately all about Him - one of my favorite titles for her is "Seat of Wisdom", because presumably Jesus ("the Wisdom of God") spent some time sitting on her lap as a child. "Mother of Mercy" - because Jesus is mercy.

      The rosary IS meditation on the Bible. It’s all there. The Annunciation , the Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth, the Nativity, the Presentation, the Finding in the Temple, the Baptism in the River Jordan, the Miracle of the Wedding at Cana, the Declaration of the Kingdom, the Transfiguration, the Institution of the Eucharist, the Agony in the Garden, the Scourging at the Pillar, the Crowning with Thorns, the Carrying of the Cross, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection, the Ascension, the Descent of the Holy Spirit, the Assumption, and the Coronation (the woman clothed with the Sun, with the moon under her feet, and a crown of 12 stars is in Revelation). What is not in the Bible? The Our Father was given to us by Our Lord himself. The Hail Mary-the first part is the Angelic Salutation with Elizabeth’s greeting, with a petition for prayer. I feel sad for you that you refuse the woman whom Jesus loved so dearly. I love Mary because Jesus loves her. She brings us to Jesus with love. I hope you take a further look at the rosary.

      Translation: you aren't Catholic. That means you do not understand the Catholic faith and, therefore, you can't criticize what you don't understand. Asking Our Lady, Jesus' mother, for her help isn't "idolatry." I can never understand the Mary hate. Jesus loves His Mother. She was good enough and worthy enough to carry Him. If she is good enough for Him, why is she not good enough for us? Catholics love her and honor her. You love and honor your mom right? Mary is our Heavenly Mother. You'd think people would be so happy that Jesus allows that. You can't love Jesus and yet neglect and dishonor His Mother.
