    I am OBSESSED with Mint and Bloom’s unit. It’s so nice to finally not have everything be from a conservative worldview 🤗.

      Agreed! I was reading through it again tonight as I was doing my best planning for next week and it is really well done.

      So, is this a bias unit study?

      @@megnlu I mean, everything has some bias 🤔

      @@Charlotte_Beach really? Don't you think it should teach the election process without being bias. Maybe giving facts on each candidate & what their policies are & if the PARENTS choose to go deeper into why this candidate is better over the other that's their decision. This is one reason out of many we homeschool. Disappointing to say the least this is coming from a homeschool curriculum

      @@megnlu Do you have the curriculum to make that judgement? Your comment itself has bias. This video has bias. Everything has bias. You do you though. ✌️🫡

      I am likely going to have to put something else on hold while we do the election units, or I will have to pick and choose. Even though I want to do it all, it’s probably not realistic. I’ll try to update on my plan in my next “Weekly Recap & Plan with Me” video.

    Is that a page with feminine products?!! What on earth?

    • @TheMommaLibrarian
      @TheMommaLibrarian  Місяць тому

      Yes. It is in reference to Minnesota’s legislation to put free feminine products in school bathrooms.

      @@TheMommaLibrarian you believe kids need to hear about what pads & tampons are used for & that they should be in men's restrooms where they'll never be used 🤯🤦🏻‍♀️ do you think it's inappropriate at any age?

      @@megnluhealth care policies and women’s health in particular are often key topics in legislation and election campaigns so in only makes sense to cover that in an election unit. Half the population is female, why would it be absurd to teach about feminine hygiene products?Periods aren’t shameful or gross and preventing children from having access to this information only further perpetuates the negative connotations associated with women’s bodies.
