Behind the Curtain! WHAT A GEM! Earl Derr Biggers script! Magnificently preserved and well designed film--scratchy audio is no problem! Exciting plot. Good acting. As Charlie Chan in later guises might say, "Thank you very much!"
Earliest Charlie Chan film I've watched, but should have been promoted as 'with reference to Charlie Chan' lol (1st movie). Despite that, it was interesting to see a film that virtually represented the change from silent filmmaking to talkies - the acting was overemphasized as with the silent pictures, and the audio was clearly in early development. All said, an interesting view of how films of the late '20s were transitioning.
One of my favorite detectives. Love them all.
Woohoo! Charlie Chan! Billy is the man!
Thank you Billy!!

Oh cool Lady! I don’t post much on there. I made all the Emoji shorts for my grandkids 😊

Holy Cow! Boris!
Merry Christmas 🎁🥧🎄 2024 Christmas Eve
1929?
And 1945.😁
Yea one I haven’t seen
'Behind That Curtain' - as noted in comments below, an interesting juxtaposition between silent films & talkies. That said, still a stinker :)
haha lisa
Hard to understand why Eve didn't give the letter to the police. Lois Moran was beautiful.
An early talkie. Very stagey acting. Bad stagey acting. Chan is mentioned, but does her ever show up?
You are no student of the art of cinematography. This is AMAZING! Magnificent !
