Sounds like a nice day out. If only all summer could be cloudy and low 60’s.

Thanks, this was very helpful. I didn't realize that you could so easily remove the switch stack array in a Gottlieb player unit. This helped solve the player unit advance problem I was having on a Gottlieb Pioneer. Next time I'm having an EM repair issue I will check your videos first.

Well done, I’m sure I’ll be checking it out in the future to remind myself of the alignment details, or sending others to check it out because they’ve hit a problem with the player unit. Thanks! Congratulations on approaching 100 videos. That is a huge amount of work.

You guys are GREAT! Just when I think I know what I'm doing, I am left scratching my head after a big mistake. I took apart the player unit thinking it would be keyed or logically put back together. I made some marks for orientation but not enough! I didn't know where to put the wiper back correctly with the plate. 3 screw holes with no clue which position to mount the wiper. You made that answer simple and easy. Thanks AGAIN for providing lots of help.

Great video! Answered all of my questions but one. Is the "home position" at the first set of multiple rivets where it should be for "Game Over" or Player one, ball one? Thanks for all of your videos. They are well done and easy to follow and in a logical order.

Fantastic video!!! I learned so much.
I’ve always been intimidated working on these. Hard to clean the switches too.
Why is that Williams games have nothing like this in their multi player games? Much simpler design.
Really looking forward to your 100th video
You guys are a GREAT asset to the pinball community!

Another really useful video. …. educating us, … one video at a time. Thanks for the lessons. Looking forward to learning a bit more about you guys. …. no need to expose yourselves, … just the facts will do fine.

Looking forward to tall tales, ghost stories and grand adventures in GSEMPR video #100. 😅
FYI: As you mentioned, for example, a 1978 Pyramid (2 player version of Cleopatra) has three green plastic cams and 76 rivets. The design may have evolved as Gottlieb developed their solid state system and realized there were still improvements to be made to EMs. Cleaning and gapping all the switches on a four player unit is a challenge, as bad as the A & B levels on the score motor. Good thing you can remove the hairpin clips and move the player unit to have a better look at the cams and switches.
Thanks for this video with the steady camera. 👍

Do you help viewers with problems? I need help with a Gottlieb Top Score I'm having with a two player Gottlieb Top Score
The problem is on 2 players it work fine you get 5 balls for each player but if you select one player you only get one ball, and the game is over after the ball goes down the drain.
The pinball machine does not have a coin unit in someone has removed it and wired some of the wires together.
I hope you have a few minutes to answer.

Is there any lubrication recommended on any components in the player unit while it is apart?
