Wow 👏👏👏. It's taking shape your beautiful cottage garden. Happy for you .😍😍 I'm looking forward to seeing it tomorrow. Have a nice day, from hot Vienna Austria.🌺🌸🌼🌹🌺
You did all that yourself AND run a business AND made videos?! I'm impressed. I'm happy to see more people using anise hyssop. A beautiful plant (my aunt thinks it looks like a weed). I have an area overrun by quackgrass. Once I dig that out I have 3 plants to get in the ground. Today's goal before it gets too hot 🥵 It's a nice screening plant that likes plenty of room. I wish I'd seen your arbor earlier. I still like the ones I bought, but because they're shallow(?) and embellished on one side, I bought a second one to back it up. I'll zip-tie them together. That's a good tip about the rebar. When my wallet quits smoking, I have to order another arbor in the same style to go with the third one still in the box. I want to build a long island bed/berm to plant year-round-interest trees. Then I won't be bothered by the setting sun in my west-facing back yard (☀️ pokes me in the eye 👁️) when I wash evening dishes. Looking forward to part 3 video.
A lot of work!!! It is going to be phenomenal!!! Already love the bones and framework u have installed!! Cannot wait to see it completed and matured!!! Thank u for sharing this!! It is very helpful to see the varieties u have chosen, the logistics, and the vision!!! Thoroughly enjoy ur videos!!!
Your enthusiasm is contagious and I am always amazed at all your great ideas and how much you are able to accomplish in such a short amount of time! Looking forward to seeing the finished project! I know it will be beautiful!
Michelle, you are so inspiring! Thank you for taking us along as you make this wonderful project come to life. 😊 I am looking forward to seeing more from you! The progress you made today is phenomenal, it has been unbearable in NE Alabama with the humidity & heat. Take care of yourself and take plenty of breaks. 😊 Looking forward to tomorrow to see finished garden. Be blessed! ❤
The roses are a crazy coincidence. Years ago I planted 2 of that brands Lady of Shallot roses they did wonderful even in a bad spot but we had some house damage and they didnt make it through the damage and repairmen trampling them. Yesterday i was digging in the area and found the tag so i was going to try and order them online because they were so nice.
Well once I have some time to sit down and actually learn editing I will try to do more of that...i don't have a camera man..just me....and I know I can't make the videos crazy long....I will have to think about how to work that in.
So excited and inspired! Yes I am going to be creating a small cottage garden this fall, next spring. Hoping to start with some shrubs (Quince, Wigela, roses) and an arbor. Can't wait to see how yours looks when completed
Excellent! Looking beautiful and can’t wait to see the final job and then two years down the road. Love your plant choices 👍 I think I would just run some sand paper in areas over the pots to add age and then paint over with watered down antique white paint… just don’t give up! I live with loads of clay (par for Alberta) and after researching found I needed gypsum so went to a very reputable garden center and spoke to a horticulturist asking about gypsum and he said to use sand instead, saying the end result would be the same but less expensive. It has worked well. Thanks again for a great informative video, can’t wait for part 3!!
I’m excited for you! A lot of work but that’s half the fun of it if you love gardening! You have planned it out so nicely, which must have taken quite a bit of time and the plant choices are lovely. I am not a jealous person, but I am wanting that arbor and fire pit!!
I have 3 very mature Lentin roses (proven Winners bridesmade series) I've lost their tree and they now have lived (this dry summer) in the sun. I need to move them but when? And how do I divide them? 5b Mid Michigan.
Um, leave it at the garden center? 🥴 Sorry. Not helpful. I'm not a fan of the plant since it became a thug in my garden many years ago. Maybe plant something in front of it that'll support it. One of the sages? Or twigs poked in the ground and twine tied around the stand of achillea.
Haha...some varieties can be thugs....if you have a taller variety cut it back mid spring, it will delay the bloom, but make it shorter. You can also try a shorter cultivar.
Wow! That is a tremendous amount of work for one person.
It's what I do...but getting helpers for the rest😃
Your excitement is contagious! I'm looking forward to seeing tomorrow's video and wishing I didn't have to wait, lol. Thanks for the inspiration!

Four gray walls, and four gray towers
Overlook a space of flowers,
And the silent isle imbowers
The Lady of Shalott.

I have Cornflower plants with dirty looking leaves. I thought was a hard water thing but now im thinking no. Any ideas?
Could be a water issue. I know mine do that when they are stressed.

They really don't like to be divided, but when you have to fall is the best time, then give them extra care and watch them.
How do you keep your yarrow from flopping??
Um, leave it at the garden center? 🥴
