I think my dream Let it Be/ Get Back film would be the best hour and full songs of Let it Be, the best hour and a half of Get Back, an all Beatles cut of the Rooftop set, and the people on the streets reactions playing over the end credits. Thanks for the Dig a Pony shoutout. I always liked it and the Anthology 3 version and St. Vincent's cover really made me love it.
Nice work. Great strap gag. I mentioned pipes and hats in mine but no farts. Best wishes and congrats on the Wedding hope it goes well... if you're still alive
I like you're "theme" of "I'm So Tired". 😅 This is one of the better and most honest takes on the movie. I have seen a lot of silliness and ridiculous gushing elsewhere. I do love this movie but some of the reviewers are acting like they never seen it before (although they admit to seeing it "hundreds of times"). While i can't wait to see the cleaned up video and rhe remixed sound, it is what it is and nothing else. Hearing RIDICULOUS "new insight" by some reviewers is rewriting history. The band broke up later that year (although not announced till 1970)! Thanks for showing some love to "Dig A Pony". Killer guitar riff and those time signature changes, very difficult, and John's singing is awesome. Well done. Now get some sleep. 😂
You should pay more attention. Peter Jackson's and Michael Lindsay-Hogg's locations are mentioned in the beginning. Peter was in New Zealand and Michael was in New York.
Billy Preston ?....his legend had yet to grow, it needed the 50 year gap to Get Back....can you imagine editing down all that footage to 80 mins, which it had to be because the only place you could see it was the cinema....no DVD, VHS or streaming to sell it on in those days. Also its easy to pick out better songs because again we have had 50 odd years to listen to them
Hey Paul! :) Congratulations on your up-coming nuptials (or should that be "commiserations"?.... as Freddy once said "another one bites the dust" hahaha.... i jest, of course.... ahem....) Anyhoo.... I'm enjoying your vids... particularly the ones where you review the records you've bought and didn't like.... or liked.... s'all gravy baby! :) keep up the good work Tara!
@dinnerwithgreedo haha I've been married twice.... sigh.... I'm a sucker for misery hahaha (why am I laughing!?). Well, I binge watched your vids... and she seems very supportive in what you do... (perhaps, not everything you do?.... ahem....) The Christmas tree skit is comedy gold! Hahaha!
@dinnerwithgreedo oh, by the way... I'm not looking for an endorsement but, if you ever get the time, I would love it if you checked out my songs.... on my channel... the pkaylist called "Greatest Hits?" :) I have more songs coming soon :) BTW, Steve the snowman.... I dig how it turns dark.... Good tune :)
@dinnerwithgreedo as long as you like her, s'all that matters, mate.... love is for suckers, as the song says.... (twisted sister... ahem...). Anyway, I'm gonna check if the postman has dropped the invite, that you obviously sent to me....
I think I saw something where Lennon complained Let it Be was all about Paul. My answer would be “ pull your finger out John and write some quality songs then.” He was dredging old songs to fill the gaps and don’t let me down is ok ( I know people will disagree). Dig it and dig a pony are in my opinion poor songs ( I know again people will disagree). At this stage Harrison was bringing better quality songs to the group than Lennon.
BILLY THE FARTER. I hate him. he's like an old uncle riding his pony, stop your nonsense you attention obsessive guy, no more! but I dig the pony itself. John is my man
@@dinnerwithgreedo no. mccartney died in 1966. and Billy certainly did not ride anyone's tail , he contributed to the Beatles immensly. But Billy making it the opposite that it's all about him makes me mad. As he said in a famous interview know for us pid-ers - "when I joined the Beatles it was all a done deal" . I didn't hear about this movie , it's not the original LET IT BE and not Set Back (*get) right? anyway I can't stand the guy personally , certainly from the time after the beatles . also after Mccartney two , I can't find any of his songs worth listening too. Even when I did like a lot some of his hits I couldn't stand listening to a whole album. Band on the Run is great , you move to another track and it's okay , and then comes a fart - but not a good one like Let it be or The long and winding road , but a terrible song like bluebird or drink to my health and I need to puke.
@@shoneyis So you're telling us McCartney died in in 1966 and everybody he ever met ever ( ie His father- brother- aunties - uncles- step mother- friends -school friends- school teachers- Lennon - Harrison - Starr - Jane Asher- etc etc) all kept quiet and played along with it while he was replaced by a look a like . Right. Sounds plausible.😂😂😂😂

Excellent point about Billy Preston. You can barely see him during the rooftop concert.

The strap gag, you played the long game on that one, very good my friend, very good.
Also, watched on “Disney plus” ey? 😉😉😂😁
The second George Harrison song is called :For you Blue
Yeah I got it in the end. Just not at 1 in the morning. My brain works differently then. 😂

Too much Paul... and yes, there is such a thing!
Get Back is the better 'making of' for the Let It Be album.
Ha ha. Yep. At this point Let It Be is a ‘DVD extra’ for the Get Back documentary.
Good luck with the wedding!
Thanks bud! All done and dusted.
Damn, this video was funny! I hope we see you in another one. Otherwise we’ll know your fate. Good luck!
Thank you! I have survived.
