Stems are all the "source" files from the album, like raw guitars, raw vocals, raw drums and everythign separated (so basically the audio tracks split up and unmixed/unmastered). Strange question to ask though as bands pretty much never release stems to the public, like why would they?
yeah, i think this became a thing some people were aware of after metallica's death magnetic was "remastered" by a fan via the stems ripped from guitar hero or rock band or whatever game (since those games use stems for the music because of how they work...) kind of an odd thing to ask about, or to assume that a grind band like wormrot records their albums in such a way that stems would be available, let alone something they would share. idk... at the same time, voices has an astonishing clarity to it even while feeling chaotic and brutal, so i guess it's not a terribly weird thing to be curious about.
Thank you for answering my questions man! I've got to give it to Dirge as being my favorite Wormrot release because it was the first one I listened to and I picked up in a record shop in Chicago.
really blown away by this Arif. I only knew you from Statue Collecting and last night I was like...waitaminute...this guy is that guy?? So humble and soft spoken with a beast inside. Keep up the awesome work...do you still collect statues? Prime 1 has a killer Dog Alien coming...but until then...I'll be listening to wormrot. :) I was trying to figure out...are you singing in MARIJANNAH? I can't really find much info on that band...anyway....keep up with it all...you kick ass. :)
It's nice to get a little insight into Wormrot, thanks Arif.
Hey arif, maybe you could do some tutorial videos on how to drawing artworks :)
