How did you go? So easy to cut yourself. For those who don't know there are right hand and left hand snips for cutting to the left or right. Also some snips have a kind of toothed edge. This makes it grip the material a little so it doesn't slip and you don't have to push so hard.

Cenyrifical force and the design means they dont leak. As the wind blows the turbine the internal fan extracts the air from the roof. In heat the air is expelled by covection so keep it high on your roof.
@@byrny111 If you look where the hole is placed you have two corrugations before the water get near it. also, the sides are tapped down reducing the wind ingress. Yes they are water proof. I have yet to be called back to one for a leak. On a storm they spin faster aswell increasing the difficulty for water to get in. So yes would be my answer
@@mayken6661 ---I have seen them covered on houses in the US in winter, but one still needs to vent any attic condensation, no matter the time of year. (I had a plywood roof delaminate because of inadequate venting).

If it is in a factory unit, it will expell the hot air. If there is a ceiling that has insulation on it and the air is removed from between the ceiling and the roof then no it will not. So if your shop has no ceiling, yes it will.

Using the hammer removes any need to clear off the swarf. The bit i hit with the hammer was cut out with the snips which is how it should be done. You can also start your hole with drilling aswell if you are not confident with a hammer.

Hi. the plastic supports inside the turbine itself. how long will it last? before it goes brittle?
I am not sure. I have not seen them break.

no this is designed to ventilate the space between the ceiling and the roof. So the roof cavity.

It performs perfectly. for the stats you will have to look at the spec from the supplier.

What if there is not much wind. Does this help in expelling hot air inside the house
Yes but it is more effective with a little wind as the fan works. Hot air will rise up and through the vent even if there is no wind.
