Skipped over the R8 and Krieg metas in CSGO. And it may just be my imagination, but I think that with CS2 they increases just how much you get aim punched when damaged which means that a gun like the XM that has a decent size spread and fire rate can run down an enemy at range while messing with their aim with each shot. That on top of MR12 messing with the economy and the XM almost paying for itself with 2 kills ,since it has a $900 kill reward, makes it very attractive if you're on weaker buys.

Dude, the caller for Titan isn't TenZ. It's Ex6TenZ. Completely different player, nationality, position, language, and era of the game. The year that Titan went under is the same year that TenZ became like a B-tier pro/active as a player. No AUG/Krieg meta in GO? CZ? No early CS:GO economy abuse(2nd pistol, French forcebuy etc)? We're still kind of in the boost meta. Runboosting is kinda nerfed with the AWP being sort of bad compared to earlier versions, and the level geometry not supporting it as much, no flyboost/launch etc, but we're seeing these 2-3man boosts on almost every map to spot oppoenents, and the prevalence/preparedness of it makes it one of the longest lasting metas.
the jump bug isnt a bug that existed for 3 years i believe, i think valve recently updated the game at that time to make a cooldown for crouch spamming, unintentionally making it powerful if combined with jump aswell to make that bug happens. they fixed it in the middle of the major (i forgot what major) and it was discovered in the major aswell. the pros then made a gentleman agreement to not use it and they did
As a matter of fact I know it existed multiple years(at the very least)before the infamous major happened, because I learnt about silent crouchjumping few years prior from a video(that I don't think I will ever be able to find again) that discussed some very unorthodox CS:GO tips and used this knowledge occassionally
I don't know why people forget the 2014 Five-Seven being better than both AK and M4. Literally one shot headshot, cost way less than rifles, practically no recoil, quite the number or ammo for a pistol too. It's my go to in eco and it's so good, people think im cheating lmao

In csgo, scope rifle also a meta where the recoil, spread, firerate are insanely OP. It just like play cod. everyone keep buying it. But around 2018 maybe, Valve nerf the stats
In CS:GO, there was a glitch that allowed you to remove the delay by crouching and stopping crouching multiple times in a row. Simply by having an AUG and scoping, the delay was reset, allowing you to abuse the crouch.
For the cs2 bhop commands - holding w hardcaps your speed in all directions, so cutting it as soon as you're in your jump for starting the bhop means that you'll get the optimal start every time, if I understood that script correctly. I played with similar scripts for getting cleaner starts on specific surf maps
You missed the 1.6 Broken Meta when steam first came out. The Trick was to stay in spawn at the start of the round(must be a CT). you would have your main rifle and throw a HE Nade. At the same time you throw the nade you would buy a shield and you would get a invisible shield while keeping your main rifle.
My theory is the XM meta is because you can no longer save for rounds so you are much much more inclined to force buy. Subtick is definately an upgrade and makes shotguns feel more responsive.
@@snifzz I think it's the fire rate and range of the XM that helps a lot more. If you're aim is on point the Nova is still better at mid range and the Mag 7 is better at close range, but if you miss your first shot with either of those it may be over for you. The XM has similar range capabilities as the Nova but with the added benefit of semi auto fire meaning if you do miss a shot you don't have a slight delay like the pump shottys.
Back when I played in 1.6 I remember me and my brother spent about 5 minutes strategizing how to use riot shield. We literally just used them as mobile cover and dominated our buddies in the lan games we ran. This was a bit before CSGO, so I was disappointed they took my favourite item away
the xm became meta at the end of csgos life, 2022 and 2023 is where many pros started using it because it was actually useful, but it didnt blow up up until cs2 replaced csgo and the news about xm being actually a good weapon spread like wild fire, hence why everyone started to wonder if valve actually messed with the xms stats.
a note about phoon: phoon was a really good bhopper and some say zblock was inspired by phoon. zblock was a plugin to stop bhopping, so in spite of them nerfing bhopping, phoon downloaded a bhop script and released the infamous video "phoon is too much for zblock". phoon was good at bhopping but he definitely didnt wipe out whole teams like his video, that video was using scripts/cheats because he was mad at zblock servers.
You forgot the smoke/molotov oneway combo. When you throw molotov under you and your teammate throws smoke to your half body model. That creates oneway to spot enemy. (CSGO)
Remember buying the XM in a Wingman game, reminded me a lot of the old Judge meta in Valorant so I decided to try it out when my team was buying but I couldn't afford a rifle, it was bonkers, preforms really well on maps like Vertigo so I was very happy with myself for finding out on my own

Great video, just subscribed. Not sure if you missed nade boosting (? If that's what it's called). Either way I'm keen for a sequel to this video with the more obscure metas/tactics that you mightve missed.

Nope, it was in CS:GO, I remember it pretty well, as it allowed you to jump from window to the ladder on Mirage without even needing to use the window frame at all@@snifzz
You forgot the UMP and R8 meta. The UMP was a literal rifle for 1200 dollars. 2200 per round for a "rifle" and armour. When the R8 came out, you basically had an AWP for 800 dollars. I remember getting SO MANY "Insane" 5 bullet aces and "insane" 1v5 rounds because my aim was just good enough to hit a body at all times...
XM became this good because of the increased size of head hitbox. It has always had surprisingly good accuracy, but the spread pattern of projectiles limited the amount of hits to the head, but now you should hit with more projectiles to the head which makes an xm shot more lethal than before
My favorite meta was that week when the Revolver released and it was so overpowered that's basically what everyone used every round. That was fun until it got it's nerf and fix lol
Bhopping got a huge nerf pre-1.6 You could bhop on assault from ct roof to t roof to bridge You could go from dust ct spawn to the t side of bridge before they could leave spawn
I remember very distinctly back in 1.6, when I had no idea how to play online, or speak and read english properly yet, on the map that became Aztec today, playing against bots. I remember that I planted, and that I didn't know I was the only T left. There were 3 CT's that rolled up on me, with shields deployed. Now, I did not know the shields would be, you know, an effective defense. Wasted my entire mag, and a fourth CT (maybe a fifth too) rolled up from behind the shield wall and nailed me like a dog. I was angry about it at the time, but man if it isn't funny to remember now.

Smgs and shotguns became way better since they changed how models move, and now none can hit you while you're a-d ing. So accuracy while moving is way more useful
yes this too
Dude, the caller for Titan isn't TenZ.
Wrong
@@snifzz Nm, picking up a sweet TenZ GL jersey :^)
7:42 Random well-made transition
Yup
yet another underrated cs channel
I dont know if I would count it as a “meta” but one-way smokes as a whole on GO was outrageous
That's definitely a meta, unlike a few things I mentioned that techincally werent a meta at all
Great video man, brought back some great memories with cs 1.6 and css
Love to hear it
Good stuff man, Don't forget about the CZ/tec9 meta (LDLCZ, Olof with tec9 etc)
I didn’t forget :)
the jump bug isnt a bug that existed for 3 years i believe, i think valve recently updated the game at that time to make a cooldown for crouch spamming, unintentionally making it powerful if combined with jump aswell to make that bug happens. they fixed it in the middle of the major (i forgot what major) and it was discovered in the major aswell. the pros then made a gentleman agreement to not use it and they did
Ah alright, The major youre refrencing is the 2017 pgl major mentioned in my video
As a matter of fact I know it existed multiple years(at the very least)before the infamous major happened,
because I learnt about silent crouchjumping few years prior from a video(that I don't think I will ever be able to find again) that discussed some very unorthodox CS:GO tips and used this knowledge occassionally
really nice video! thanks a lot. Ive experienced and used most of those metas but you forgot the time sg was broken in CSGO. spring 2020
Appreciate that, but I didnt forget. I tried to avoid weapon metas, because every youtuber has already covered them.
Theres also another disadvantage of 4:3 res is that it make the player model strafe much faster
Really good video. Keep it up
Appreciate it!
I don't know why people forget the 2014 Five-Seven being better than both AK and M4. Literally one shot headshot, cost way less than rifles, practically no recoil, quite the number or ammo for a pistol too. It's my go to in eco and it's so good, people think im cheating lmao
I'm so nostalgic for 24/7 office in CS:S. The amount of grenades flying down the hallways and scattering furniture made for such a fun and chaotic experience.
Bro. Stacking up those filing cabinets in cs_office was so damn fun.
Hahaha :D That's me screaming on the runboost up cat. What a match and what a shot by Nato. Also, PLEASE say "existence" instead of "tenz" in the future. Otherwise great video!
For the lazy ones like me.

Im not able to make an edit so it's here 🙃 You have to paste it one by one / "Bind w +w" is essentially useless just debinds you're movement forward.
@@StonedTommy they made a typo, "-foward" and "+foward" should be forward (missing an r)

Bro that wasnt TenZ but Ex6tenz, they re 2 different players
criminally underrated channel
Im doing just fine I think :)
In csgo, scope rifle also a meta where the recoil, spread, firerate are insanely OP. It just like play cod. everyone keep buying it. But around 2018 maybe, Valve nerf the stats
Nice video! btw cool transitions 😎
Autoshotty was insane in CS1.6 too. Noone used it as it was referred to as the noobcannon.
In CS:GO, there was a glitch that allowed you to remove the delay by crouching and stopping crouching multiple times in a row. Simply by having an AUG and scoping, the delay was reset, allowing you to abuse the crouch.
nice video! it's a bit niche, but i would love to see you cover some of the metas from dangerzone in csgo.
Def gonna do something with dangerzone one day, good idea ty :)
CS2 has made Dust2 entirely a scout meta now at high rank. Scout is better than awp, everything honestly
Incredible History
Mostly Great Vibe
Vast majority of This Is not Missed
Some Cool Casual Game Concepts but mostly Absurd
Some Good Work Man
One thing really unnoticed because of how long ago it was but in 1.3 t side could move hostages. I miss that
Thats crazy lmao
Italy was one of the best maps for it because of all the spots you could hide them from ct side
This video is so polished I had no idea you were a new UA-camr. Keep up the good work, you'll go far
Means a lot, thank you!
Keep making videos, you got a good thing here.
Will do :)
Bro i thought you had like 100k subs
Your content just🔥
New sub
For the cs2 bhop commands - holding w hardcaps your speed in all directions, so cutting it as soon as you're in your jump for starting the bhop means that you'll get the optimal start every time, if I understood that script correctly. I played with similar scripts for getting cleaner starts on specific surf maps
Missed the new MP9 meta, arguably better than the XM1014
No Wild West? My friend you edit video so well but can;t forget such obvious parts of history! :D
I agree, but somehow I managed to dominated with the mag7 in csgo, but in cs2 It feels useless for me atleast
Another 1.6 meta : the HE damage could go through walls
the player you called tenz at 4:30 isnt tenz but ex6tenz, a belgian ex-pro, nice video though
Yeah I realized this after lmao, my bad
Best IGL in source and early csgo 👀
i was watching this video thinking you had maybe 100k subscribers but damn you are underrated
Much love bro
I gave you a like for the most insane transition at 1:22
Back when I played in 1.6 I remember me and my brother spent about 5 minutes strategizing how to use riot shield.
We literally just used them as mobile cover and dominated our buddies in the lan games we ran. This was a bit before CSGO, so I was disappointed they took my favourite item away
Love to hear that you unlocked some amazing memories :)
no revolver pocket awp? no cz meta? no michael jackson peek?
Wasnt there also a SMG meta after they changed the accuracy while moving?
the xm became meta at the end of csgos life, 2022 and 2023 is where many pros started using it because it was actually useful, but it didnt blow up up until cs2 replaced csgo and the news about xm being actually a good weapon spread like wild fire, hence why everyone started to wonder if valve actually messed with the xms stats.
nice edit :)
Ty
Nice video edit man
Great video, I would say that the silent jump was my favourite meta.
a note about phoon:
phoon was a really good bhopper and some say zblock was inspired by phoon. zblock was a plugin to stop bhopping, so in spite of them nerfing bhopping, phoon downloaded a bhop script and released the infamous video "phoon is too much for zblock".
phoon was good at bhopping but he definitely didnt wipe out whole teams like his video, that video was using scripts/cheats because he was mad at zblock servers.
Definitely not scripts but the server's settings definitely fluctuate throughout the video making some strafes easier.
Introduction to the revolver was crazy
You forgot the smoke/molotov oneway combo. When you throw molotov under you and your teammate throws smoke to your half body model. That creates oneway to spot enemy. (CSGO)
Yep thank you, definitely will be making some sort of part 2 or smthing like that
Remember buying the XM in a Wingman game, reminded me a lot of the old Judge meta in Valorant so I decided to try it out when my team was buying but I couldn't afford a rifle, it was bonkers, preforms really well on maps like Vertigo so I was very happy with myself for finding out on my own
nice vid bro :)
Thankkk u
You deserve way more subs bro
I appreciate that!
Buddy forgot the R8 meta
Good video bro.
Appreciate it
You forgot about all the console commands. Like, there was one in 1.6 which made it possible to see blood through walls, making shooting through walls easier.
Great video, just subscribed. Not sure if you missed nade boosting (? If that's what it's called). Probably wasnt a meta or maybe it was but youd sit on your friend's head and jump and they'd throw a smoke/flash under you and it'd launch you into the air. Could get to some ridiculous positions in csgo and css. Look at some of LOLYOU's older videos and theyd have examples in there.
Either way I'm keen for a sequel to this video with the more obscure metas/tactics that you mightve missed.
I remember dominating Ivy on Train back in 2016-18 with XM, this weapon finally has the attention it deserved
WHAT! You only have about 200 subs and this video only has 8k views? This deserves way more attention, someone like me that isnt interested in CS found this video super entertaining :)
Thank you for the kind words, means more than you might think!
great video!

If you're struggling against the XM1014 i recommend SMGs. They tear appart the shottys and their higher mobility makes you a harder target to hit, while also keeping a very good accuracy while moving.
Smart.
You could have mentioned the revolver meta.
I know it was only for like 2 days or something but it was honestly some of the most crazy time i had when they added the revolver and it was just op for no reason
Holy shit when he started blocking the doorways with objects in cs source he unlocked memories I didn’t know I had
You seem to forgot a short period of time in the CS:GO's lifespan, when we had "double jump" bug. They fixed it pretty quickly tho, but it was fun while it lasted
You mean in cs2, right? Yeah i forgot about it sadly
Super well made. I got 7k hrs in Csgo but still learned a few new things
Glad to hear and thank you so much
XM became this good because of the increased size of head hitbox.
You forgot the hacker meta of march 2024
Ah yes, how could I
1.6 was insane in that time tbh
Bhopping got a huge nerf pre-1.6
You could bhop on assault from ct roof to t roof to bridge
You could go from dust ct spawn to the t side of bridge before they could leave spawn
Wish i got to experience those days man
i cant remember if it was 1.0 or 1.3 where bunny hopping was pretty much unrestricted - those days were great.
Forgot the deagle and scout meta in css, thise were op. And revolver when it came out, was op as f.
back in the day, you could rocket jump. all online records of it have been destroyed but if you dig hard enough, you can find proof
Definitely
I remember very distinctly back in 1.6, when I had no idea how to play online, or speak and read english properly yet, on the map that became Aztec today, playing against bots. I remember that I planted, and that I didn't know I was the only T left. There were 3 CT's that rolled up on me, with shields deployed. Now, I did not know the shields would be, you know, an effective defense. Wasted my entire mag, and a fourth CT (maybe a fifth too) rolled up from behind the shield wall and nailed me like a dog.
I was angry about it at the time, but man if it isn't funny to remember now.
The XM1014 aways has been the meta for close, mid, and long ranges
Smoke punches brought attention to the XM, but it was also a great weapon with high damage potential🤌
The spread feels tighter tho
