In my humble opinion too much water was added. There is no need to add water as there is Yogurt, moreover if cooked on low heat the liquid would be retained . If necessary 2 tomatoes would suffice but certainly not water!!
It's supposed to be a thin sauce, not thick like spaghetti sauce.
