Harry Hill gets around :) That HB rechar is lovely. I'm afraid the SB18 is much later in the year. LR21 will be last for a while (Lack of stock, as with HB 21 too) tend to prefer the LR18 over the SB18 but the next one sounds interesting. Thanks for the post
We'll be at the Manchester tasting next month and did the August (?) one last year. Brilliant that these are underway. I'll be making a point of praising the decision to ballot the Palo Cortado bottle to Society members as getting any of the gear outside the 10yo has become impossible. Slainte!
ah great news Steve, hope you enjoy it! I couldn't agree more and the great thing is that they're really listening to their community as there seem to be lots more tastings and ballots of smaller bottlers/tasting packs on the way for us this year which means liquid in more enthusiasts glasses! sláinte my friend
Ian, i enjoy watching what you were enjoying at Melody bar 🤤 Between 2023 Hazelburn 12 and the upcoming 15 you have tasted, if i have budget just for one bottle, which one would you recommend?
I'm with you on that Vashlow - even having tried it all myself I find myself feeling a bit jealous I missed out on this! I'd personally say the 15 is a banger, but it's a close call so I'll let @IanBear1000 come back to you with his thoughts as he's the true Hazelburn connoisseur. sláinte!
now that's a good question. I buy all of my Springbank bottles either through the society or direct from Campbeltown, but I appreciate that's not possible for everyone. I can only recommend buying all of your bottles from the same source and building a strong relationship with a supplier/retailer as they will see you're not just a bottler flipper who is only looking for Springbank and the other gems alone. where you do that is up to you - just make sure they have a good allocation of the juices you want! best of luck Joe
@@TheWhiskyBaron okay, thanks, ill probably call a couple of online suppliers then maybe. I have a good supply from when we visited and did the barley to bottle but that will only last so long and that’s more like demijon’s, cage and Kilkerran. I’m looking on whisky auction currently as well
@@joetrigg5378 ye, I hear that - I do my best to stretch those bottles out, but they never last as long as you want them to! auctions are a good place to look as well and never short of Springbank bottles. only problem is you usually pay a premium, so make sure you're buying something you like. best of luck with adding to the collection/selection Joe! sláinte
@@TheWhiskyBaron Cheers. You know what - I'm really curious: what is going on at the Laphroaig distillery? I mean in past two years two very experienced managers left distillery! What is the problem? I do understand that J. Campbell started a new challenge at the Lochlea distillery, then what about Barry Macaffer? Would be great if you guys could get one of them at some point in one of your episode. What do you think?
@@YurySimplyaboutwhisky can't say I know a lot about it all to be honest but I'm keen to get involved with Laphroaig and see what's happening so we'll do our best to get this on the books for you Yury
Splendid video and whiskies of course. Many thanks for sharing. Kind regards, SF
Thanks for watching Sandro, glad you’re enjoying the content my friend. Sláinte 🥃

Where’s the best place to use wishlist or waiting list wise for Springbank / longrow etc?

Realistically in 2024 you need a good relationship with a local shop, or to get lucky in a ballot 😢
