At first the unremovable subtitles were annoying but then when I saw they were so far off from the actual dialogue it made the show humorous. I remember when this show premiered in '62 and surprisingly was a hit. Donna Douglas was 31 years old at the time which was hard to believe, she looked so young. By the time the show was cancelled she was 40 and though still pretty she was starting to look her age and getting a bit broad across the beam. No, that wasn't a nice thing to say but she had outgrown her role. 9 years was a good long run for the show but times had changed and the scripts were getting stale. The 1st 3 years were great. I especially liked the friction between Granny and Cousin Pearl and Granny and Mrs. Drysdale. Make that Granny and Anybody. Irene Ryan was the best.
I completely lost it when Granny called Jed Jack Benny !!!! LMFAO
Is this the same young man from Petticoat Junction?
Yes

Don’t include those ridiculous subtitles next time. They aren’t even close.
