- Abandoned Circuit City - North Olmsted, OH. Enjoy a short video of us checking out the old Circuit City which closed well over 10 years ago. Circuit City was an electronics store with a good music and movie selection. They went out of business as a whole around the great recession.

The facade on circuit city stores is pretty unique.
It was meant to represent a plug I believe
Then Conn's copied their facade later one with a less-rounded but similar one.
The last time I was at Circuit City was 2007. I was trying to find a heavy metal CD that they sadly did not have. It closed shortly after and is now a Best Buy.

The Circuit City nearest to me (off of Brice Road in Reynoldsburg, Ohio ( you have done many videos up there) later became a Sears Outlet store.
At 6:22, you can tell that used to be where the 2 garage doors were for the audio installation garage for circuit city. It's since been bricked off.
I remember circuit city well, it's been years since I've been to one. Kind of miss them now. Thanks for sharing

I worked at that giant eagle store next to this circuit city they refer to it as the Watertower store as of the big watertower in the parking lot
Our Circuit City closed Black Friday of 08'. I was out shopping and went to check it out. They closed around mid morning that day. I liked their DVD and cd collections.

They turned our original circuit city in gastonia, nc into a Senior TLC. Then the newest building is now an Office Depot/ Harbor Freight.
If you ever come back down to North Carolina Wallie, you've gotta check out the abandoned Circuit City ex. Gander Mtn. ex. Gander Outdoors across from the Best Buy in Winston-Salem. I know you recently did some Kmart videos when you were last down here.
Abandoned Circuit Citys are getting harder to find nowadays, as many of them have been repurposed. There's still an abandoned Circuit City in my neck of the woods (Port Richey, Florida.) For a few years, it was was used as a seasonal Spirit Halloween store. Then, the Toys "R" Us, which was in the same shopping center, closed and Spirit Halloween moved there, so for now, the former Circuit City remains abandoned as of the time of this comment. The original Circuit City signage remained for quite some time after it closed and not too long ago, it was finally removed and the red was painted over, but you can still tell that it used to be a Circuit City by the iconic "plug" design to the entrance that's still there.
There’s actually a repurposed circuit city that looks exactly like this in canton that is now a Goodwill!
We have one repurposed as a Habitat for Humanity store. They still have the service center signage inside the store.

From what I know there is two circuit cities in Las Vegas. One of them is now an auction house right now. The other is a big lots and it is way closer to me.

There was a few circuit city's in my area in Arizona which all of them have been converted & there is a mor furniture which was a Former circuit city & then turned into the mor but then closed permanently in of 2018 2019 or 2020 & at 4:22 that door looks unlocked & open

We have an old circuit City that turned in to an ocean city job lot in Newington NH
I remember the commercials where the cord and plug was plugged in and the plug became the front of the store and they were singing " Welcome to Circuit City Where Service is State of the Art". It was at the end of the commercial. About mid to late 90s early 2000ish
Update: Was from 1993. Not sure how long commercial ran. The newer Circuit City stores didn't have that entrance. They went with a flat storefront when they changed to the red circle logo
I still have a Circuit City gift card from 07 that my teacher gave me. Idk if I ever used it but am sure money is still in it.

The last time I went to Circuit City my Dad and I went to Guilderland, NY to get a Toshiba HDTV, about 21". On the way back home, driving through Vorheesville, a deer 🦌 came out and my Dad hit it! 2008. Car was a Saturn VUE not even a year old! $4,700 worth of damage. Wasn't long after that they went bankrupt and liquidated.

I needed this after my luck on RNG. I can't remember but if it was in Ohio but I found a Circuit City and a Target Greatland abandoned on Google Maps/Street View, it wasn't the Target Greatland in Reynoldsburg, once I figure out the location I'll update on this comment

So what you are seeing is the pieces of circuit city left in that building...it doesnt look like a circuit city inside because its been broken up and leased in parcels.. so walls were put up to seperate the leased spaces to not leased...the space you videod is kind of the left overs from the rewalling...from what i understand( i lived in north olmsted and know people from there who remember it)
That circuit city used to be housed in almost all of that entire building...giant eagle used tobe in a different spot.
There are many mcalisters...its not well liked in ohio...its viewed as an over priced panera
There was a Circuit City, located on Kelly Road and East 8 Mile Road on the Detroit/Harper Woods City Limits in Michigan. When, Circuit City Closed Permanently. The Circuit City building 🏢became a Eastland Produce Market, and the Produce Market Closed Permanently. The Circuit City/Eastland Produce Market is now, Harper Woods Schools Districts College And Career Institute.

I've never liked their stores, their high prices, nor how they treat their employees at several stores that I've heard from. I have a few friends that work or have worked at various locations over the years and they're always complaining about the company and how they're treated. The company apparently tried forcing one friend to work even when her foot was broken.
