- A discussion of Fr. Dolindo's Surrender Novena, along with his life and Marian Devotion. Originally part of the Aug. 31 2024 Radio Maria show livestream. Roy will be on the chat stream during the Premiere.
My husband and I personally attest that the Surrender Novena is very powerful. I prayed it for probably a year prior to my husband's double lung transplant, and he prayed it, too, and i still pray it. The only way that I can express it is that it's a feeling of letting go of something too heavy to carry, and then a sense of unworldly peace, being carried through it all and provided for in every need. ♥ "Jesus, I surrender myself to you. Take care of everything." Pray for us, Most Holy Mother of God. Pray for us, Don Dolindo and Padre Pio.

Wonderful lesson, Roy! A few of us ladies say the surrender novena daily. Only one day at a time, but repeated ad infinitum. We use it not just for ourselves but as intercession fo others in need.

Im new to your channel❤ I’m a fellow Catholic. Father Dolindo is one of my fave saints. In Poland we are so blessed because there is a Catholic scholar who is friends with Fathers Dolindo’s family members, she translated many of his books and also wrote few books of memories passed on from his relatives about his life ❤ He is such a wonderful saint. Napoli is on my priority list to visit because of him and Virgin Mary of Pompei❤

Thank you Roy for your videos. I don't usually comment online but I am on this one because I pray Fr. Dolindo's Surrender prayer often (at one time, not the 9 days) and share it with my friends. My Protestant friends especially like this prayer. I enJOYed learning more about Fr. Dolindo though this video and will read more about him.
333 views. Holly, Holly, Holly. I shared this novena with my son and her girlfriend, both are hurting because they love each other, but also hurt each other. Oh Jesus, I surrender myself and my loved ones to You, take care of everything ❤

The surrender novena is very powerful, but I never really understood the background so this video was so helpful. Thank you for sharing all this useful information.
I have a beautiful copy of this prayer. But! In my opinion we need Gods grace to say this prayer as Jesus desires. I think it's best to practice saying the prayer regularly. Thank you

Thank you for this. I would love to know your thoughts or see a video on the new movements like the Messianic Christian or Hebrew Roots. I am not asking in an way of having anything against the people, but lately a lot of their material has come across my social media. There are graphics going around social media saying things against the Catholic church, such as we celebrate man made things holidays and not God's laws or festivals. I am Catholic, but when I read these, sometimes it makes me question my Faith. As a Jew, I feel you would have a knowledgeable take on this.
I love this novena, I heard Fr. John Ricardo speak of it. I’m so glad you brought some attention to it. One question on the passage of day 6 where Jesus said how our wanting to control hinders his views? I’m not sure what that means? Any thoughts?
