Your heart tarts looked so good. Your floors looked incredible after all your work on them. Such a lovely thing to do for your husband. And hosting dinner as well !!! You are a living example of Proverbs 31 💕💕😊
I make my own yogurt in the crock pot too! Groceries are outrageous
What a wonderful video! Jam packed with all things beautiful, helpful and loving. You just provided us with more in a few short minutes than a tv show does in an entire season.❤❤
Those precious little hands reaching for the tarts!💕
The heart pastries looked so good and festive. Love the Friday Tea Time. That’s such a great tradition that your children will remember for ever!!!
Homemaking, a job we will never regret ❤️🙌🏾
Wow! You are such a great homemaker!
Loved the main course. Mushroom sauce looked so delish.❤
I also married my childhood sweetheart, married 49 years this year❤
I really have missed your videos, I so enjoyed your winter vlogs. I got to missing them but glad to see you again
I just started making my own yogurt too. So much savings! If you like the Greek yogurt you could always strain some separately for you. I strain all of ours and then save the whey for smoothies or to make fermented mayo.
Yes I plan to try that next time!
Everything looks so homely and cosy❤
So great to turn on my computer, this morning, and find your vlog! Loved your Valentine Pop Tarts! Your floors look beautiful.
The floors look new now ❤ You reminded me to make yoghurt with the last bit we had left too. Thank you for sharing lovely ❤
Hillary, thank you the home making inspiration and all of the tips. So excited for these recipes that you shared. I’m going to try!! ❤
Thank you Hilary for the video👏👏👏🦋💙🦋💙🐝🦋
I’m so intrigued by the crockpot yogurt- thanks for sharing.
Yogurt looks delicious!! Thanks for share this lovely vlog!!
The yogurt!!! That was so easy with the crockpot. Thank you for sharing that. Will def try it ❤
Hi Hilary, Thank you so much for sharing how you made the yogurt. I'm excited to try it.
Thank you.
Such a blessing you are to so many🥰✝️ I love home made yogurt. I heat the milk on the stove then cool a bit, mix in some yogurt and place in glass jar wrapped in towels. Then I do have a yogurt separator to make it Greek style. Tastes soooo much better, and yes ALOT cheaper!! Healthier too😊
Loved this video….all the beautiful things you made for your family gathering together. You are so inspiring and yes our world needs more kindness and love 💕
I love watching your videos and enjoy your informative content. I’m 75 and seem to learn something new in each one. But that’s a lot of yogurt! Wondering if I could half the recipe? ❤
Yes definitely!
Your floors turned out so nice. I've made yogurt too and it's so easy. You can strain it to make Greek yogurt. For the breakfast sandwiches you can wrap them in parchment then in foil, so he can microwave them covered. 🥰🌱🌿🌷🌹💐💗✝
Happy Thursday in February Hillary, family, and fur baby Finn. Those looked YUM! Way to go..STTB💗💗💗
Beautiful video❤
Your dresses are lovely!
Hi, great tip on the ice cubes while baking bread❤. Wonderful video! Enjoy watching!
Everything looks delicious! ❤
I’ve been wanting to try yogurt from scratch. Thanks for the tips! ❤
Dannon used to make coffee yogurt. It was my favorite but they no longer make it. I am going to try making it in the crockpot and using instant coffee for flavoring!
Great video, Hilary, and great instructions for the yogurt making. I will be trying that on a smaller scale for my husband and I.
This was a beautiful vlog.Loved it from start to finish. I'll try making the yogurt, great idea.
Wow! I’ve never made yogurt. That was awesome! And that meal you made looked so delicious.
I do not cook or bake; I'm retired, live alone and vegetarian which eliminates some food groups.
I do love watching you prep and make the delicious foods you prepare. You make homemaking look so easy.
I'm going to try the yogurt recipe. Sounds delicious!
What a sweet video! I’ve started a list of ways I can show extra love to my family this week. You’re always so inspiring! 💛
Lovely video Hilary! All great ideas! Thank you for the recipes. I want to try the sourdough pie crust recipes for small hand pies/pop tarts and for chicken pot pie.
Made yogurt the same way it was awesome 🎉
That must be close to the married half your life mark, what a legacy for your children💜
Yes, as I'll be 38 this year!
Now that you are making yogurt I have a suggestion for your marketplace search: a Salton yogurt maker. I bought mine back in the 70’s. I did not use for many years😮. Then, about five years ago I started again using Trader Joe Greek yogurt for my starter. It is not practical for your large batches but it would give you your own personal yogurt cups with that perfect tanginess of Greek yogurt. I love your homemaking and so often find you doing things I did when I was younger that bring smiles to my face.
Enjoyed
Great idea making your own yogurt. You can make Greek yogurt with that by putting some in cheesecloth or a coffee filter and let it drain overnight in the fridge over a bowl. Best of both worlds! Loving your videos for years
I bought a yogurt strainer from Amazon and it is wonderful. A little less precarious, at least with my family. LOL.
Yes I plan to try that next time!
We have some hardwood and also LVP in our home and the chairs and furniture legs are definitely an issue with scratching. We tried felt but it kept coming off. We bought chair leg socks from Amazon in July and they are fabulous. I clean the bottoms a few times a month (dog hair) but the chairs are easy to slide and no more scratches. The brand I bought was Iamzay premium chair leg socks. I’ve also seen some that look like animal feet but not the vibe I was going for. I also make the English muffin sandwiches. I like to put a half slice of cheese on each half of the muffin since it holds the filling in when it gets heated.
I found some that are clear, so they don’t show really-they do a good job
To save even more money, you can make the yogurt with powdered milk, I can’t stand the taste to drink but in yogurt it’s fine
You are such a blessing! Ive watched you for years and years and now my grown daughter is learning from you!
Hilary you seem more relaxed in your life and homemaking. The time you take to make things special for your family like the hearts makes me think of my mother. Your children will have great memories. The roast and bread looked delicious. I need to learn to make yogurt. Your's looks so good. Take care and God bless you all ❤️
Your homemaking definitely comes from your heart❤
What a lovely video Hilary. What the world needs now is love sweet love. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Hilary. I enjoy your videos. Could you tell me where you purchased your chair covers. The material seems thick and I’ve been looking for something like that. Thank you.
The chairs in the dining room? They came with the slipcovers from a local store, sorry I don't have any brand info
Hillary, my husband is a farmer, and I make him breakfast sandwiches every week he appreciates it so much. I do wrap them in parchment because he can microwave right in the paper. The hearts reminded me of my dear departed mother in law who would bake my kids' heart-shaped red sprinkled sand tarts every Valentines ❤ Your love for others shows in all that you do.
Do you have a specific recipe for the mushroom sauce that you made? Looks and sounds delicious!
I don't, I just throw together the ingredients I mentioned until it tastes good and has the consistency I'm looking for. I forgot to mention I also added in some of the beef broth from the roasts to help stretch the sauce and add even more flavor :) If you searched 'simple creamy mushroom sauce' or something like that I'm sure lots of recipes would pop up with more specific proportions
What wonderful ways to show love to your family!❤
I wish I were as together as you Hillary! Love from Australia where we are COOKING it's so hot.
You have blessed your family with love every day, but these are special little goodies. God bless you all.❤❤❤
Hi Hillary! I'm curious how long that yogurt would last in the fridge. I suppose you could freeze it. I am wondering because it is just me and my hubby.
The internet says up to two weeks if it is sealed in an air tight container
@@OldWorldHome Oh Thank you!
Were there any doubt about the kitchen is the heart❤ of the home….
hey girl- loved the video!😁 such yummy food! Great job Hillary👍 And those floors look good to😉 Have a blessed weekend🥰
Is it 3 cups of flour if you don’t have a cup of sour dough discard or will it not work, do you know?❤
Yes exactly!
Better Homes & Gardens should pay you for the advertisement. I’m feeling influenced to go buy those glass containers ❤😊
😊👍👋
🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Aussie here, why is there salt in the snow ?
We put salt down on our front steps and driveway to help melt the snow and ice and add grip
How long will the yogurt stay good in the fridge? Does it have an expiration date?
Should last up to 2 weeks if stored in an air tight container
You are loved by many people, Hilary ❤
How long will the yogurt last in the fridge? Thanks!
I'm sure my kids will eat it before it expires! The internet says it should last two weeks in an air tight container :)
Do you still have your home planners for sale?
I didn’t make one for 2025, just the Christmas planner 💛
I look forward to your videos ❤ I just wish they were longer.
Wow, yogurt for days🩷👍 I’d love to make this, but I would like it a bit thicker, how would I accomplish this🌻and I love the pop tarts, I’d love to make those also💗 I’ve followed you for many years Hilary, im still amazed how much you do for your family and manage your time. 👍👍👍👍👍
I’ve been making Greek yogurt (in my instant pot ) for years. I bought a yogurt strainer from Amazon and it works great. You can also line a strainer with cheesecloth and put it over a bowl and strain it that way. I use the strained off whey to make my breads and rolls. It adds some extra nutrition.
You would let it strain through cheesecloth in a bowl overnight, or you can buy a specific yogurt strainer. Essentially you just let it sit and drain and it will become naturally thicker!
