LYRICS
He walks alone, the streets deserted
He steps on every crack
He makes and home and no ones waiting to welcome him back
Who is the man in the mirror?
He wonders as he stares in the eyes of a stranger
He's looking for a way
To make it through the day
To say the worst is over
No need to be afraid
He screams out
Someone save me from myself
Drag me from the gates of hell
'Cause I'm hanging by a thread
And I'm getting closer to falling off the edge
And he screams out
Someone save me from myself
Someone save me from myself
He counts the tiles on the ceiling
And everything fades to black
He knows he'll never have the feeling
To take a step back
The voice in his head's getting louder
His skin is crawling
He runs both his hands through the water
There's got to be a way
To make it through the day
To say the worst is over
No need to be afraid
He screams out
Someone save me from myself
Drag me from the gates of hell
'Cause I'm hanging by a thread
And I'm getting closer to falling off the edge
The freaks are coming after me tonight
They capture me and guide me towards the light
Who is the man in the mirror?
The voice in his head's getting louder
He screams out
Someone save me from myself
Drag me from the gates of hell
'Cause I'm hanging by a thread
And I'm getting closer to falling off the edge
And he screams out
Someone save me from myself
Someone save me from myself

I don't care if they changed, They still frickin' rule. LONG LIVE FOUR YEAR STRONG!
I'm playing this song on repeat this November 5th
New England garage must haves! Love this album cover!!! No question were these guys are from. New England all the way baby!!!
Haven't listened to this in years, it's still so good
This song reminds me of old FYS... Good Song!
Dan and Alan said their favorite was Stuck in the Middle
This is obviously their favorite track off the album. It is my favorite too.
Does this remind anyone of Jimmy Eat World? The phrasing and the riffs are so similar, incredible hook too. Apparently people talk shit on this album. I love it.
Chooooooon!!!!
I just love how you guys are developing. The direction you took this album is astonishing. Read in an interview that you focused more on the vocals, and one really can tell.
FYS is without a doubt my favorite band, and i can't fuckin' wait to see them live in Stockholm!!!
This song is amazing, but Rise or Die Trying is still my favorite album. FYS FTW
fav song from the album definatly
2nd fave song off the new album, hope they play it live at Soundwave
Wasn't sure on this one when it started but i like it
My favorite song from this album
by far my favorite song
love this song.
Old FYS
@novastunna Of course! Place this song in Rise or Die, and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference! Long live this song!
sick
someone save four year strong from themself
@AdrianDX Just because the FYS from 2007 is the only FYS you know doesn't mean that's the only FYS.
Love this new shit.
Fucking awesome band. Since the beginning. Nuff said.
@RichieWilliams97 You know I am right!
@AdrianDX To be honest, mate, all the albums are different styles in their own way, so who's to say the next one won't be completely off the wall, compared? ISWSOF did it for me; it's a fresh sound. Obviously I love the older stuff and EoW, too, but I'd still shuffle this album into my FYS playlist
FYS
compared to their work before this, I couldn't stand this album when it came out. it's still four year Strongs weakest cd as a whole, but this song is fucking phenomenal. by far the best on the album
Check out our channel at ua-cam.com/users/fouryearstrong for more!
new video coming soon perhaps?
@macaNL To me it would be good enough. If I wanted to listen to Foo Fighters, I'd listen to Foo Fighters, not the latest FYS album. I don't mind bands changing, for gods sake blink has been my fav band since '98. But I don't enjoy when bands change for the worse.
@blackfireknight1 If you're just gonna be butthurt by my comment and not efficiently contribute to the discussion; Please just pop the CD in your CD player, listen to the vinyl or launch your preffered music playback software and listen to the song using one of those mediums instead. It's a lot better than watching a still image while listening to just one of the 12 songs while making some worthless comment on UA-cam.
@novastunna Trololol
@AdrianDX Funny, you're the only person that's thinking that way. Besides did you not just do the same thing? You're a hypocrisy is astounding, really.
......no :/
I'm sorry. But can someone honestly play RoDT back to back aginst ISWSOF and say that ISWSOF even comes anywhere near even the eye line of sight of RoDT? I still consider FYS to be my #2 fav band. But I don't see the appeal in 80% of the new songs. To me it seems like it's all just going downhill really fast. Explains It All is actually the last album where I can say it felt like they sounded like the FYS I know from beginning to start. And that's just a cover album >_>; I miss 2007 FYS...
foo fighters wannabees
