[NParks Spotlight - Understanding Our Local Biodiversity]
NParks Spotlight is a new series of weekly online talks that features our in-house experts from the National Biodiversity Centre. They will share about the fascinating creatures and habitats that can be found right here, in our City in Nature.
This month, we will also hear from our partners in the biodiversity community. They will share about the fascinating lives of our flora and fauna, and what YOU can do to protect them! This special edition of the NParks Spotlight series is organised as part of the Festival of Biodiversity 2020.
This series is hosted on Zoom, with limited slots available for each talk. The talks will also be streamed live on our UA-cam channel, to allow everyone to enjoy them. Find out more at go.gov.sg/npar...
If you missed our 1st session, do check it out as we introduced the Nature Conservation Master Plan, which charts the course of Singapore's future biodiversity conservation efforts!

Kudos to the presenter, Shankar, for pitching his talk simply so that even young enthusiasts can enjoy. I am also very impressed by the host, Lesley. Her flawless enunciation in her introduction of Sankar Ananthanarayanan (9 syllables) and Herpetological Society (9 Syllables) is commendable. 👍🏻 Well done!

Sankar is such a good speaker! So many unique species were shared but he can hold our attention throughout by sharing such interesting facts about each creature and making them so relatable even to the beginner nature explorer. Really learnt so much thanks!
