Yes Dan please bring us more stories. Your voice is so soothing. The desert is a hostile place. I used to live in El Paso and those sand storms are no joke. Got caught in one on a motorcycle once. They could leave inches of sand on the windowsills. And the dry air is torture on your sinuses. Thankfully i never encountered hostile bees. I'm currently enjoying the humidity here in Virginia.
Dan Bell, I love these. I’ve been watching/listening to these quiet little stories in the last week again and then you drop this one😅thank you! You’re a man of the people.
Dan, you need to do storytime every day. Or start a podcast. This is great! I'm a doordash driver and have you playing on my Bluetooth now. It would be perfect if I can get Dan Bell storytime on the regular 👍🏼
i can assure you that had i not been attacked by those bees i would still suffer from migraines today. definitely not a conventional treatment being attacked by deadly bees but worth it.
I love how you told this story, you certainly need to make more. What a wild story though! You need to make more. Your voice, despite the subject matter, is so calming.
Mr bell. Im a trucker, i drive all 48, i see so many cool things on my travels. But driving an 80ft vehicle i miss a lot stuff. By the time my brain says stop its too late and u cant turn around. Im Maryland born and raised and i love you and your channel.
Dan you are really just going from strength to strength with your content lately! I watch your lives every week and can I just say, the happiness in your personal life is shining through in your content quality - and I am so happy for you and thank you for bringing us along for the ride xx
Thanks Dan for sending me to sleep with this 3 nights in a row! I keep having to come back each night to find the part where I fell asleep so I can find out what happened 😂
I think Mr. Ballen told a true story of a woman who had Lyme disease that was stung by Killer Bee's. Shortly after she was cured of the Lyme disease. Very interesting stuff.
Wow!!! I knew the bee story because I have been a fan forever. But I did not know the migraine story. And of course, UA-cam throws in the loud commercials right in the scariest part of the story and I’m like jumping out of my skin lol! These were absolutely great!!
Due to my recent knowledge of the african honey bee, thanks to Casual Geographics' recent upload, the scent of bee venom from one of them is like a bat signal for the rest of the hive. That's why when you returned, they began another assault and since their hives are relatively small, it's easier for them to rally most of the hive to attack, which is in the hundreds. They'll also chase people for up to a quarter mile.
had i not had my vehicle there i would’ve been fucking screwed. those bees are vicious and when they attack there is no escape. they’re absolutely ruthless.
God you're a fantastic storyteller. Make more of these, I will eat them up! This reminds me of a story of a woman with Lyme Disease. She was actually so tired from years of fighting her illness that she was planning to end her life when something similar happened to her and she was stung by a swarm of bees. The venom ended up curing her Lyme. Saved her life. 🐝
I dont know if you left already, but if you want to see something creepy checkout Ely, NV, about 3 hrs east of reno on whats called the "loneliest highway" , huge vast open spaces to get there, Ely is a very old town, most houses are 100+ years old. very ghost-town type vibes from the place. (it's pronounced eee-lee, not ee-lyyyy).
The stretch of I-80 in NV between West Wendover and Reno is full of uncanny valley towns like that. These are the type of desolate places where everyone works in the mining and oil industries, a majority of cars you see driving around are 20+ years old, and travelers only stop briefly for gas/restrooms at those travel plazas with the sketchy keno parlors. A few years ago, while traveling with family to CA, we made the rather misguided decision of stopping for pizza in a settlement called Lovelock around 100 miles east of Reno. The less-than-warm reception we received from the furtive employees and clientele of the place made us quickly nope the hell out of there and hold our appetite till we re-entered civilization!
Had intense migraines for years, they ruled my life. Of course had the MRI’s the whole testing routine. They had no answer. I had passed out at work in the restroom sitting up the pain was so bad and nausea all day long. Pain killers make me feel worse.🤮 They finally came out with a new med not an opiate but it’s powerful and stops the blood vessels from constricting I believe. Not an ordinary headache by any means. When I reached 50 they just stopped out of nowhere thank God. Wouldn’t wish them on anyone.
I was hanging on to every word, fully engaged, edge of my seat. What a wonderful tale full of twists and turns, and that delightful conclusion! We definitely need more of these.
More proof that the most difficult experiences we face in life often give us gifts that we could not otherwise attain. And as Paul Harvey would say that folks is the rest of the story .
I miss these. Dan, you have an amazing storytelling voice and it’s especially soothing when you do your soft voice. Thank you so much for the story and the video. Take care and God Bless ma man🙏🏻😎
I know you'll probably not see this as it's a month old upload. I am a verrry long time fan of yours and i love your work, sense of humor, etc. tl;dr huge Dan Fan! (Also from the dena/gb/bmore area) I suffer from serious insomnia and i havent had a dream in years, a decade it feels like. I watched this video and not only fell asleep, but had one of the most vivid, realistic dreams i can remember. Your story, descriptions, soft tone put me right in the desert as a sheriff back in the wild west 😂 Thank you so much, I'm going to try this again next time i feel like i could sleep!
I've been there with a migraine before, driving with one eye covered & my vision blurring & hoping to god my meds would kick in or I just get home without an accident.
❤ Thank you for the story Dan. Migraines are so bad, I know bless you. The bee venom may have neutralised the chemicals in the brain that cause these painful and nasty episodes. More stories please Dan I love these quiet times. Xx
Loved this Dan. I actually live pretty close to Organ. Being allergic to bees, I have never dared exploring it. Plus they fenced everything off and closed it up.
I am not glad you were “kissed by the bees “ but I AM glad that the dang things unintentionally healed your head. :). I will say , you’re extremely lucky you didn’t get cellulitis from any of those stings! I did once after my foot was stung as a kid and man it was something else. lol
man i love this story, its also in incredible testament to how God works in the most bazar ways. and im glad he did. been down that horrible hell of migrains.
I remember the bee video. The camera goes flying and all we can hear is your frenzied screams running away. How did you make retelling that event so relaxing? 😅
First time migraine attack is terrifying especially if you don't know what's happening. You hear about migraines but don't realize how awful they are until you actually have a bad attack....visual aura, nausea, dizziness then the stabbing pain. So bizarre.
Crazy story…I think I remember that video. Been watching you for a while. And I think heard somewhere that there has been research done with migraines and bee venom
THANK YOU DAN ~•~ I’ve always loved your stories!!! One of my all time favourites is the one you told few years ago about the place behind your house, like a swampy bog place. When you were a youngster you would cross the water by stepping on clumps of gloopy bog stuff that floated on the water. You & a friend or your sister were able to escape/get away from a “weirdo man” by quickly crossing the water & stepping from one gloop to another boggy gloop. •The other story was about a man that stood under the street light at night, at the end of your driveway. You’re an incredibly talented storyteller!! I subscribe to you on Patreon as well👍🏻Geez Dan, um trying to remember just how long I’ve been subscribed to your UA-cam channel🤷♀️?? Watching you back in the day exploring abandoned slaughterhouse, that beautiful old mansion in Baltimore (omg at night that place was seriously spooky)~you explored a few times with Rick. AND how can a not mention that weird little forest in Baltimore, the crazy well & finding a “no longer alive thing”, those dark scary night drives…you’re completely fearless!!! I loved you staying in Aileen Wuornos’s old motel room (that was freaky as f*#) and you chatting to people in that crazy pub she’d drink at (Florida) Thank you Dan for your dedication & hard, gruelling work to produce top notch content & genuinely amazing photography! You ooze talent mate!👍🏻😊📹📸👏🏻🇦🇺
I'm so sorry your first migraine was in such unfavorable conditions. I've been dealing with them most of my life. (Tried everything). I end up in the ER maybe once a year. I know what makes them worse, but not what causes them originally.
Great story! The calm, slow way you tell this story keeps the moody feeling of it.
His voice is soothing. I am cracking up about it
Your voice is so absolutely soothing. I get really anxious at bedtime, I listen to your videos and they always calm my brain down ❤
Aaaaaah, finally a story time for us broke people again.... I love to listen to them, so soothing.
So soothing except for the ad break every three minutes. Lol
I could listen to you tell stories for hours
Dan Bell, I love these. I’ve been watching/listening to these quiet little stories in the last week again and then you drop this one😅thank you! You’re a man of the people.
Amazing video, would die for more stories told like this, like this could put so many asmr creators to shame with how relaxing this is
There are some from years ago. I’m glad he’s bringing this back.
Dan, you need to do storytime every day. Or start a podcast. This is great! I'm a doordash driver and have you playing on my Bluetooth now. It would be perfect if I can get Dan Bell storytime on the regular 👍🏼
stories will be a regular thing every week on wednesday. i also do a comedy podcast on patreon.
With the background and the story this feels like a David Lynch scene
lost highway!
Dan Lynch scene 😉
@@lannisterbaratheon7791 that's good!
I love David Lynch.
I thought the same exact scene. Blue velvet anyone.
Spooky Dan stories just in time for spooky season. Bee venom therapy is a real thing being studied by scientists too so maybe it did help.
i can assure you that had i not been attacked by those bees i would still suffer from migraines today. definitely not a conventional treatment being attacked by deadly bees but worth it.
@@DanBellFilmItglad you lived to tell the tale, my brother Dan Bell.
I love how you told this story, you certainly need to make more. What a wild story though! You need to make more. Your voice, despite the subject matter, is so calming.
If you go on his playlist, he has a group of videos called Quiet Time. They’re just like this. Love them!

I remember the bee attack, can't believe its been almost a decade already! I must have been 13-15 at the time.
Dan you are really just going from strength to strength with your content lately! I watch your lives every week and can I just say, the happiness in your personal life is shining through in your content quality - and I am so happy for you and thank you for bringing us along for the ride xx
i really appreciate you jessica. thank you so much!
I find it hard to believe being stung by that many Bees didn't give u some kinda of super power. LOVE YOU DAN 💙💙💙
Your voice is so soothing 😊
This is going to be a great video to cozy on the couch with!
Dan is a such good storyteller! The beautiful voice helps as well :D
Thanks Dan! My husband and I love your work.

Ooo I loved this. ❤ You have the best stories.

Bees: "Look! It's Dan Bell.
"Aw, I hate that guy."
"Ya, I know. Hey, I got an idea! Let's sting the hell out of him."
"Okay!"

What a nice voice.
Thanks Dan!😊
I could not imagine getting my first migraine in the desert alone, I think the panic alone would’ve killed me
it was terrifying. i was losing my shit.
"Africanized bees from Brazil." 😂
Do you remember how the news was fear whoring this story back in the days? Apparently it was the end of times. 😅
Unbelievable! Excellent storytelling Dan. Love all your channels
I love this Dan! You always have amazing stories and your voice is so cozy, when you do these type of videos. 🥰 Much 🩷
Thanks Dan! I listened to this between a snoring dog and woman and woke them both up a few times.
I just watched this Dan and I for one would love to hear more stories!!!!!
