Watching you work is great but I feel so hungry after seeing the bread cooked. fresh bread is wonderful. A sister chanel on cooking would be great. Simple wholesome food at its best.
Hi Andrea and Omar...Great progress yet again guys...loved the bike segment..hope your both well and already looking forward to next week's episode ..take care.👍👌🤙🥂
Thanks Jim! Always a pleasure to see you in the comment section. The bike ride was so good, really hope we get one soon haha! See you in the next episode ❤️
Been so fun watching you both build your home there in Portugal. My wife and I took a trip last September and are so eager to come back soon! Take care 😀.
Awesome! Have you guys got bikes here in pt? We are definitely looking to get into it, were actually having our 2nd lesson rn! All the best to you both X
Aww, what a nice video. Your petunias look lovely (tip: bigger pot = less watering...). When are we going to see Omar at the braai, cooking some chops, some boerewors and, maybe, a braaibroodjie?
I saw the cardboard from the refrigerator and thought that would be perfect for gardening. Have you seen Destino Portugal's new video? The garden that they vsit is amazing.
Lots of exciting progress this week - thank you for sharing! Have you thought about adding gutters to your roof and collecting the rain in barrels? Portugal has very dry summers and you can use the water stored in the barrels for the garden and beautiful hanging baskets you showed in this video.
Enjoyed your video, the flowers were beautiful & you are making a lot of progress on your addition. The flowers hanging just added a special touch. The sky with the view of the clouds & insects chirping was just just beautiful so peaceful. Thank you for sharing.
Great vlog today thanks guys so lovely to see that everything is coming together beautifully for you. Amazing 😀 take care have a great week and keep smiling 😁☮️💟❌❌
If it's not too intrusive, on the intro, when you said workshops, there was a nice aerial take of your land. I see there is a small parcel next to where the car is parked, is that part of your land too?
For the arepas? It's a flour you cna get at the supermarket, prossibly in a Asian/African/SouthAmerican shop (dependin where you are). Its called PAN and it comes in yellow and white. I much prefer the yellow version as it's tastier. I usually do it by eye but the packet coems with instructions and its super simple to make. You make it into a ball and then make a flat cake on a hot oiled pan so they don't stick. Pribably takes about 20 mins. You can add anything you can imagine on them. I really like it with Pico de Gallo eggs. Cut half an onion (red or white) and dice finely. Same with tomatoes. Add in a pan a bit of oil, wait until hot and add your veggies. Cook to your desire, I like it well cooked, then add your eggs (two - mixed) and cook as wished. Really nice for breakfast!
you have my 3rd project here, an old farm too, in the mountains, near the forest, if you are interested, @@TheIndigoEscape, with subtitles in English. ua-cam.com/video/Yh4jTGWuYZg/v-deo.htmlsi=R2_b2FVuNtt61ugS. Now, I will only create the garden, I'll make do the house by craftsmen. I am 60 years old... 🙃
@@TheIndigoEscape, Thank you so much ! I'm delighted that you like it, it's a project of the heart... I bought in August 2020 and the progress of the first part of the work was difficult with the health crisis. Normally, I should finally be able to live there in June 2024. Afterwards, when I will be there, I will be able to make more detailed videos on the creations of the craftsmen and the garden. If you have any questions about plants, trees and the garden, you can ask me, it's one of my specialties. Normally, there will be 3 phases of work in total for the house. It will offer 3 cottages for vacationers and an ornamental garden to visit. Good luck for the rest, your videos are super nice. We keep in touch...
The Indigo Escape with Andrea & Omar. You seem to have worked hard this week but you have progressed really well so You must be pleased. You have done realy well with the woodwork, how do you know so much about it. Did you know how to do these cuts in the wood before you came to Portugal. I am an old lady but it fascinates me when you are doing the woodwork. Thanks for sharing. joan from Morecambe.
No actually. We have learn most of the woodwork we have done during this renovation. IT has been quite interesting and now we know we have an affinity and interest in workign with wood. I hope this may be the beginning of many small projects!
Hey Joan, it is due today at 4:30PM GMT. Sorry we can't be more regular but our main business opened up again (tourism) so we are working hard for it to be ready :) It's very exciting.
Can you tell me where you got your fridge/freezer from please? I know you said it was some kind of warehouse or something. We need some appliances for our quinta. Many thanks. Great channel by the way. Love watching your progress.
Thank you so much!! We got it at a Worten outlet. I’m not sure if you may have one near but the one we went it’s in Coimbra. They also arrange delivery. Highly recommend it. Worten (Eiras - Outlet) g.co/kgs/NgSSp2
Hey? Whereabouts are you based in Portugal? We're just starting a Portuguese abandoned farm transformation with Tiny House ourselves. Could be fun to meet up at some point? 🖖
They're called arepas and are quite common in Venezuela and Colombia. They're basically cornmeal cakes. They're made nowadays with precooked cornmeal. The most popular brands are called "Masarepa" and "P.A.N".

Why spending money in a container when you have beautiful ruins waiting to be recovered?
Where would you suggest for us to live while we renovate the ruins?
I hope those footings for the wood were dug into holes with rubble or they will probably just sink into the ground over time
I suggest you check out the earlier videos where we made them. We use something better than rubble
Yo creí que uds son un canal de restauración pero me equivoque
