We visit the Prophet's Mosque, Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Medina, Saudi Arabia as Non-Muslim tourists.
What an amazing experience to witness one of the most holy places in the Islamic world.
Until recently it was forbidden (Haram) for non-Muslims to visit the Prophet´s mosque in Medina.
We felt so privileged as foreign tourists to be able to see this sacred place for ourselves and to see how important it is for so many pilgrims from around the world.
We also visit the holy Quba Mosque, explore parts of Medina and taste delicious Arabic food.

Thank you for watching this video. We came to Medina to experience the majesty of this holy place. We came with respect and to help to promote tolerance and understanding between cultures. We thoroughly appreciate all of the kindness and hospitality we have been shown by the Saudi people during our stay here. Thank you 🙏
May Allah bless Muhammad, his family and his companions.
Thank you 🙏 Peace to all.
Peace and blessings be upon him

As a female living in madinah , unfortunately you can’t film inside the female section a lot of women take off their face covers(niqab) to pray comfortably, it’s considered to be problematic to film the faces of the females without permission, however in mens section there is no such boundaries, please consider my advice because I know they won’t be happy to know their faces are filmed in such a Holly place , thank you for considering my message .

why Saudi government permits them to do video inside the holy mosque?
i think they need more money from those youtubers and travelers!

Thanks for your kind comment. We felt it was such a privilege for us to experience such a holy place. The people we came across there were all so kind and welcoming to us. We will show more in the next videos to come. 🙏😊 ~ Lee

So, Lee, iam keen to know what your perception of Muslim religion is now ? Is it as the west portrays them as terrorists and satanic and violent ? Or has your experience been quite the opposite?
Have your thoughts changed?
Would you want to convert?
@@FrugalTravellershai, I like your journey to Saudi. You were born in England, and your wife from New Zealand, right, and you live in Australia, aren't you? The more you learn Islam the more you feel peace and love. Is that true you live in Australia? I wander to know...
My name is said, l am from Indonesia. It's nice to know both of you. Thanks

I envy you standing in the forecourt of our prophets mosque. I went 25yrs ago and hope Allah grants me the chance to go back soon. Most peaceful place on earth. Stay blessed.

Hi greetings from Turkiye. It is very special feeling to visit these holyplaces. I went to umrah in 2011 with Carribean and Bosnian pilgrims
Greetings to you. 🙏. We met people from so many places there including Turkiye. There was such an amazing vibe between all the Umrah pilgrims. We will feature some in the next video. 😍

Ameen me too!!!
I hope you get to visit Medina 🙏 insha'Allah 🙏❤️
You are sweet and respectful couple, May Allah the Most Merciful bless you!
You are so kind, thank you so much! 🙏❤️
Out of all the western vloggers coming to medina this couple is the only one who didn’t do the cheap clickbait (shock value) like the others. Madina people are known to be super nice. The history of the ansar who took in the prophet and the early converts is extremely moving and well documented. Omar Sulaiman did a wonderful tribute called “loving the ansar”.
Thank you so much for your kind words and lovely comment. We appreciate your kindness and support.
Visiting Madina as a non Muslim vlogger it shows you went in with good intentions unlike others. You spoke with people nicely to people and got the opportunity to get closer to the prophets mosque. You didn't not cover the call for prayer or quran recitation with Muslim. Clearly no one interpreted or showed you ill feelings which is a good sign that Allah has guided you to get closer. So please try to get closer and learn about Islam with an open heart. May Allah guide you towards Islam
Thank you so much for your kind words 🙏❤️
The cities of Mecca and Medina are sacred territories (al-balad al-harām) completely forbidden to non-Muslims.
Since when Madinah is not restricted to non-muslims?
Thank you very much and best wishes for visiting the holiest places for Muslims like Mecca and Medina.❤️🇧🇩
Thank you! 😁🙏

Please don’t use the word “Expelled ” for Our Prophet Muhammad Allahs peace and blessings be upon him. Rather you can use the word “Migrated to Madinah”
Thank you so much 🙏 We are trying our best to learn and understand the amazing history here. 🙏
May God bless you and protect you always! Thank you for showing the Muslim world and how kind the people are. Thank for you also showing the world how amazing British people can be too!
Thank you! We really appreciate your kindness and support. We had an amazing time in Medina and in Saudi Arabia, and are so happy to be able to share our experiences with others 😀🤗🙏
Brother and sister, the islamic rule is, you can even enter into the holy mosque of our holy prophet muhammad s.a.w while being respectful, because He s.a.w himself Hosted christians inside His s.a.w mosque, the rule for"no entry for non muslims" only holds for makkah ul mukarmah..keep learning and enjoying..i will recommend, please read the holy quran at least for once, while oneself is in this world, having a chance to read it
Thank you 🙏. We come in peace and with great respect 🙏 It is an honour to visit such a holy place.
Whether non-Muslims are supposed to or not, it wasn’t the fault of the Frugal Travellers, as they made the appropriate checks. They showed a lot of respect from start to finish.
Here, in the western world, most people are very tolerant of different faiths and cultures, yet there are still some misconceptions of Islam and the Middle East. These videos from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are really helping me understand more about our world and the people on it. Please don’t be offended.
Being a Muslim I would love to see more of the Arabian vlogs

This is very good vlog that you guys did about Madinah - you have clearly researched the history and showed interest. If you do end up converting to Islam, then you have to visit Mashid Al Haram in Makkah - that place is out of this world. I have been to some incredible mosques around the world but the mosques of Madinah and Makkah are the best. There is also Masjid Qiblatain in Madinah which also has significance too
Thank you so much. It was a really special experience for us to visit Madinah and we feel so very fortunate we are able to go there now. We have visited many holy religious places all around the world including Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and the Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad. We respect that it is not possible for us to visit Makkah. We were just so happy to come and mix with the people there and just want to promote peace, tolerance and understanding. 🙏
@@FrugalTravellers I did visit Masjid Al Aqsa on one of the Umrah Package deal but I never visited Iran even though I have visited around 20 countries in Asia alone.
Is he Muslim? It's Haram n forbidden by Prophet for non Muslims to enter.
Thank you lovely people for portraying our religion and Muslim culture in a positive way but factually. May Allah bless you for that. Ameen. You got a new sub. Will be following you more In Sha Allah. May Allah guide you to the straight path. Ameen.

regarding the Water you guys tried, maybe it had a different unusual tase if you noticed, that because it is natural water from Zamzam Well, which opened up thousands of years ago, and is related to the story of Abraham and his son Ishmael.

These are sacred places for worship, not for tourism or enjoyment. You should'nt enter it if u r not a Muslim. You can walk around it far away, but non-Muslims are not allowed to enter it.. Respect Islam and Muslims and holy places.
We asked before we went inside, and were advised it was OK if we dressed appropriately. We didn't mean to offend the incredibly kind people we met in Saudi Arabia and Muslims from all around the world.
Saudi Arabia is gone after MBS take control
Allah said ; "O believers! Indeed, the polytheists are ˹spiritually˺ impure,1 so they should not approach the Sacred Mosque after this year.2 If you fear poverty, Allah will enrich you out of His bounty, if He wills. Surely, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise." Surah At-Tawbah - 28

With all do respect you're not allowed to enter the prophets mosque as a non Muslim and breaching that is very disrespectful.
We asked before we went inside, and were advised it was OK if we dressed appropriately. We didn't mean to offend the incredibly kind people we met in Saudi Arabia.
This is an active place of worship, the second holiest mosque in our religion. This is so disrespectful.
@FrugalTravellers I appreciate your answer. It's not your fault, then it's the authority's fault for breaching that line.
I know it's not my fault.
You breached the line.
Entering the mosque was provocative and ill judged.
It is a mosque not a museum.
I wish you visited "The International Fair and Museum of the Prophet's Biography and Islamic Civilization" - Location: Attached to the Masjid.

My wife and I went from Jeddah to Medinah and Al-Ula/Mada'in Saleh in December 1986.
We stayed at the Sheraton outside the then "Muslim-only" zone and then were loaded on to a yellow American schoolbus for the freezing cold trip to the Nabataean tombs - toilet stops behind dunes and very average hotel packed lunch.
The destination was worth it though.
I could murder an Al-Baik right now or "heart attack on a plate" as we called it. +1👍👍
Thanks for the great story Andrew. 👍. I can only imagine what it was like to travel in Saudi Arabia back then. Things will have certainly changed. If you don't know This was the first well in Saudi Arabia called the Zamzam well. It is about 5,000 years old. The longest-lived well on the surface of this earth is the well that does not dry up. It is sacred in our ancestry because it was from the mercy of my Lord to Mrs. Hagar, “may God be pleased with her,” the second wife of the Prophet Ibrahim or Abraham, “peace be upon him,” when he left her here with her son, the Prophet Ismail or Ishmael “peace be upon him,” in the middle of this desert. At that time no one lived there
It is an amazing piece of history. Thanks for sharing with us. 🙏

@@FrugalTravellers Welcome to my country. I believe that understanding our religion and why we are Muslims is better than a meal of ful, maasoub, or kabsa, or watching the Kingdom Tower, or watching the Red Sea. Enjoy your time in the summer, we go to the mountains of Abha, Al-Namas, and Al-Baha
