A quick comment about the correction shown here: You're hearing both the corrected signal and the room-mic/PA, so it's "phasing" between her uncorrected (natural) and processed voice. The phasing sound generally isn't heard by the crowd, since they don't hear your un-amplified stage voice. Same goes for recording. Thanks for the review!
Very impressed with the mic mechanic and the performers. Thanks to the pretty and talented vocalist I'm sold on this product and I'm going to purchase it.
No it's because of the camera mic in the room at the same time. You are hearing her through both the tuned version (via desk) and the untuned version too (via camera mic). In a live situation with a PA, the corrected voice is the one only heard. One person who does hear it though, is the singer. Because they hear themselves via conductive hearing, they get that sense of chorusing which can be strange. With other products in their range then you can output wet/dry, but not through the MM.
Pitch correct wont work if you're too far off the target note else it will 'tune' you to the nearest semi tone so you have to be reasonably in tune to begin with. The pedal just helps make precise tuning of already/almost perfect singing.
very nice video guys, Lisa is a very talented singer, not to mention lloyds badass guitar skills, Cannot wait for your new record. hopefully will catch you guys in cambridge soon if your touring there!
There are moderate ways to use this pedal that will add a lot to the average song and the average singer. This was a mostly pop and extreme sampling. I like the delay and a little moderate reverb for helping smooth out vocals and take away the dry sound.
in my band is a female singer who "fights" with intonation in the highest and the deepest tones, but sings beautifully in the mid range. For her it is "the" tool.
She sounds really good with a lower Pitch Correction thing. I, myself, would burst that knob up to 100 because I need it. Love the tone feature and those amazing reverbs. The delay sounds, I would say, weird.
You sound great Lisa, nice crisp guitar playing brother. Thank you for the demo on the pedal, I'm looking for some th ing like this for my wife as we travel and she sings while I play at churches but a lot of the time these churches have an old PA and no vocal effects at all. Reverb... compression... it's just like adding the cream to the coffee. Michigan USA loves you andertons crew!
I'm from Michigan too. Just bought one of these. I couldn't find a new one that was not back ordered for a couple months, so I got a used one from someone in Germany. I'm looking forward to trying it when it arrives. I loved this demo too.
I adore Circa Survive :) Lloyd & I recorded a full video of the song a while back. It won't let me post links but if you search 'Orestea Circa Survive' it comes up :)
Wonderful demonstration! I just think the only thing you could do was to simulate an out of tone singing, and afterwards the intensity of pitch correction of the pedal. However, I repeat, great video!
Haha, well spotted! Lloyd worked at Andertons when this video was made so he was acting as 'andertons guy' - everyone thought it might be a bit confusing if he mentioned that he was also in the band so he acted like he wasn't. In the more recent TC Helicon/Andertons video we both said we were in the band though. It was a bit weird having him interview me as if he knew nothing about the band haha!
I am a total junkie of TC HELICON vocal pedals' I use the D-1 H-1 and E-1 pedals I really like the doubling sounds from the Thick, Loose and Group settings.
Nice work on the vid. Noobie to vocal pedals...so how does this box know which note to correct without knowing which key the song is in? I didn't really see a place to plug a guitar in. Thanks...
I like the magic tone button which basically does what you'd do in the studio. Now you have that level of processing at even the grottiest pub gig. Guitarists, bassists and keyboards have had this for decades, drummers now have triggers so why not have processing between the mic and house P.A? :o)
Awesome presentation.... Love the pedal. And I feel I now know all features but ONE> WILL IT WORK WITH +4DBU and -10DBV mixingboards.... Because that's something wich usually goes wrong with these units in live use...
Question; have you put the sound through a PA and then recorded that sound with the camera's built-in-mic? If so, as I suspect, then we do not get a clear idea of exactly how good the pedal is because we don't know how poor the built-in-mic is. I recommend (unless I am wrong and you have done) recording the sound separately from the mixing desk, then adding that to the pictures.
Lisa is one lovely lady. She sure know how to sing. I really enjoyed it and I also think this is a great product. Usually, when you think of pedals; it would be for the bass and guitar player. Now they have one for the singers and maybe the singers should start thinking about building their own pedal collection and buy a pedal board. Peace, Flood!
I wish instead of a knob for the type of reverb to use, it had a foot switch that could click through the different types of reverb - playing guitar and singing then having to bend over to turn a knob sucks :) But I guess it's better/cheaper than getting a model with preset capabilities huh?
+Sam Jewell I blame the dude, he wasn;t acting casual or making her feel comfortable. He was talking like everything was just a plain script. He was making her explain herself all the time on the spot, and he made her explain how to use the pedal and do all the work. He's the person who works at the store, he's supposed to know the stuff they sell inside out and be able to sell it. Not get guests on then expect them to do it all for him after ONLY 5 minutes looking at the thing.
+leamog Jajajajaja, plastic surgeon deserves nobel prize on that chappers gender transformation. Green hair and perfect vocals are secundary effects I guess.
So there she is again. Looks like the girl is going out on Halloween night in San Francisco. You know the famous song. “If you are going to San Francisco wear some flowers in your Halloween costume hair” 😁. And the skull goblins on her bracelet perfectly top off her outfit for a Halloween night out of trick or treat 😅. Don’t get me wrong folks here I’m just having a little fun With the wild color hair and giant funny flower. Im sure she’s a great artist and musician but come on guys and gals she’s asking for a little fun poked at her with the Wild color of her hair. Please no disrespect ment here. Just having A little fun.
Whats wrong with the dude? He wasn't acting casual or making her feel comfortable. He was talking like everything was just a plain script. He was making her explain herself all the time on the spot, and he made her explain how to use the pedal and do all the work. He's the person who works at the store, he's supposed to know the stuff they sell inside out and be able to sell it. Nah nah, you've got it all wrong. They are both slightly flirting with each other, but they have to keep it professional. You can see it in their side glances.
I guess Trask Dunlap was right then xD It's still an awful review, he didn't really present the pedal properly... and it made me feel uncomfortable watching it
What's cheating. Everyone uses reverb and/or echo. Most sound men use compression. Some use gates on vocals depending on the stage situation. She also said that , for her she wouldn't use the pitch correction.
Oh boy....... the world would be a much better place if every one kept their insulting remarks to themselves........ these two seem nice people....... leave them alone and concentrate on the item in question which, may i add, is a canny little gadget...... (Mike. Greek singer.)
It would be better if you had someone like me use the pedal for the demo. I can hit at least 3 notes on a good day if someone has got me by the throat. If a pedal can 'pitch correct' me ... it'd be a million and this pedal would be flying off the shelves. :)
Pitch correction sounds like a robot yodeled strangled chicken Sharp shifts not slow at 50% Finally at 9:23 she tunes it to 1/4 much better. Is there any youtube demo that demos the pitch shift primarily? We are an old garage band and sometimes have guest singers who "really Love the song" but sing flat. I have watched 6 You tubes that showcase the reverb echo Well ok but playing for a GUEST gotta have some ON PITCH vocals or you wanna just quit. So, I bought a eBay Mic Mechanic I have 14 days to return it so, we will see. I have a TC Helicon Voice live 2 and it does quite an acceptable job but it was $500 new one singer. So wish me luck I may make a quick YT video focusing on pitch correction, but this is the ONLY video that came remotely close, and its not what I wanted.
what a terrific voice, this girl has a gift!
It's either really flat or pitchy at points
A quick comment about the correction shown here: You're hearing both the corrected signal and the room-mic/PA, so it's "phasing" between her uncorrected (natural) and processed voice. The phasing sound generally isn't heard by the crowd, since they don't hear your un-amplified stage voice. Same goes for recording. Thanks for the review!
With or without.... what a GREAT singer !
Very impressed with the mic mechanic and the performers. Thanks to the pretty and talented vocalist I'm sold on this product and I'm going to purchase it.
This felt more useful, and enjoyable, that the video made by TC themselves. Thanks!
shes an incredible singer. this was really helpful.
Destiny Gross Your pic, especially with a comment like this, is wonderful.
No it's because of the camera mic in the room at the same time. You are hearing her through both the tuned version (via desk) and the untuned version too (via camera mic).

They tested it.
They did what I have done, even I had no clue
Thank you
Nice product, awesome vocalist.
5:30 song?

orestea are such an unbelievable and underrated band :)
in my band is a female singer who "fights" with intonation in the highest and the deepest tones, but sings beautifully in the mid range. For her it is "the" tool.
I just bought one of these and i love it. Great unit
this pedals and mic are sick really practical
It is a phasing effect from the either the guitar mic or camera mic along with the pedal
She sounds really good with a lower Pitch Correction thing. I, myself, would burst that knob up to 100 because I need it. Love the tone feature and those amazing reverbs. The delay sounds, I would say, weird.

Nice. Interesting bit of kit
Hi can someone figure out whar song she is singing. I kinda like this song. Beem searching for the song
Circa Survive!!!! And she sings it pretty well. Oh yeah pedal is cool too
I am a total junkie of TC HELICON vocal pedals' I use the D-1 H-1 and E-1 pedals I really like the doubling sounds from the Thick, Loose and Group settings.
just bought it, good job
Very well done
Noticed you had the tone button switched on all the time.
Stunning voice

Loved the delay, adds so much ambiaaaoonce 8)

Awesome singer, and gorgeous.
Her hair is really cool!
Shes a great singer!
@dww0902 What about chappers?????
Say anyone!!! ...What’s that 2nd song she’s singing after The A Team??? I like that song and wanna find it!!!
That girl has a fantastic voice!
It's super pitchy though :/

Seems weird saying her band when actually your both in the same band.
Circa Survive! Holy sheeit!
Thumbs up for the Circa Survive cover!
Very talented and great presence . Have a great future Lisa. Love the hair it rocks.
It's one of our songs called 'Your Own Mistake' :)
Peace, Flood!
wich song did you play?
we did a full cover of this song for youtube. Just search 'Orestea Circa Survive' and it will come up.
It's one of my favourite songs :)
I want to buy it !
how would this be with a condenser mic?
It's a song by Jessie J called 'Nobody's Perfect' :)
What song plays on 7:40 ????
what's the intro song`?
I'm thinking this may work for me
I wish instead of a knob for the type of reverb to use, it had a foot switch that could click through the different types of reverb - playing guitar and singing then having to bend over to turn a knob sucks :) But I guess it's better/cheaper than getting a model with preset capabilities huh?
What band is this ? Please someone tell me what the name is she's a lovely singer someone know the name I couldn't understand his accent
check the description and u will find the link.
That is a good video lol I am lead guitarist, and I was thinkin g of buying the pedal
2 of the most socially awkward people I have ever seen do an Andertons review, would love to try the pedal though !
+Sam Jewell I blame the dude, he wasn;t acting casual or making her feel comfortable. He was talking like everything was just a plain script. Oh noes! The Captain has been messing around with Rob's time-machine again
I love her hair.
Couldn't have been that much correction going on. She's quite good.
Actually, that is the nicest looking green hair I've ever seen.
cool...
Beautiful girl singing Circa Survive, wonderful surprise.
when your checking out a pedal and they are demoing it playing your friends band hahaha
Circa for life!
FUCK yea man came here to see a pedal review and got some surprise Circa! Amazing
Think ill stick with the Boss VE 20
just subbed! new paramore disapoints!
i wanna hear a bad singer with the pitch correction and all the stuff, not a harp with green hair
😂
Circa Survive - SPIRIT OF THE STAIRWELL. Fucking awesome and unexpected
wow, that guitarist is using an epiphone les paul........... what a winner.....
chappers and the captain look weird....have i taken too much?
+leamog Jajajajaja, plastic surgeon deserves nobel prize on that chappers gender transformation. Green hair and perfect vocals are secundary effects I guess.
Stay off the weed.

Very cool pedal but odd reviewers. Hosts were weird... made me a bit uncomfortable but great effects pedal.
jea thanx
cheryl cole will love this.........

We are actually married...
I guess Trask Dunlap was right then xD It's still an awful review, he didn't really present the pedal properly... and it made me feel uncomfortable watching it
So judgemental... look closely and see he's the 1st on the left in the video clip of the band in which she was singing.
so if shes never used a pedal before how come she knows everything about it and how to use it correctly?
It's called research. You should research research.
thx)
The Duplicator would match much better with her hair
Where can I found it?
You can find a pitch correction test from my channel.
What's cheating. Everyone uses reverb and/or echo. Most sound men use compression. Some use gates on vocals depending on the stage situation. She also said that , for her she wouldn't use the pitch correction.

Wow, Capt. Lee looks different.
Who is the cute singer?
Slick
Terrible, clueless demo. I may buy one though :)
wow
far out hair m'am totally kool fab
You are so good? Hmmm... why I never heard about you in the radio?
I would just use the slap back
Pitch correction sounds like a robot yodeled strangled chicken Sharp shifts not slow at 50% Finally at 9:23
