The eyes when they first got leaked got me very nervous because they looked creepy and kinda bloody. I’m glad they changed it last min to something less creepy. 😮‍💨

I think it has to do with the type of plastic, the upper arm, forearm peg itself.
Sonic's arms are thin so the forearm peg might just be really thin. Not to mention the upper arm holding said peg in the plastic is also something to take into account. I'll talk about that in a second.
Ex. Monster High (I used to collect them.)had really thin arms. But you could hear a solid pop or click when pulling them out or pushing them in. (Honestly had so much fun with it.) It takes accual effort to pop them in and out. The plastic is harder. But that also means it has awful grip. I had one doll the didn't have a ball on the end, (you can see it on Sonic's arm when it falls out.) It could barely hold a pose and I lost both arms later on.This would be fixed later on in the doll line and the arm would only come out if pulled on like the others.
Mario I can only assume is made out the same plasic as Sonic. A softer plastic to Monster High. So it'll be a bit more flexible. Which means the peg and the upper arm WILL hold it's just softer, and a bit more finicky. The peg will try to do it's job but just fail to do so due so to the softness, or the upper arm will stretch making the joint harder to postion and just making the arm fall out, due to it being stretched. Mario had more bulk to his arm, the best way I think I can put it is support. So when bending the arm there is less likely of a chance for it to fall out. Ex. One elastic band is easyier to stretch than five.
Lastly the peg. It may just be a bit too small when trying to pose Sonic. I'd have to move his joint myself and pop it out myself to confirm this. But basically the peg on the arm is too short for the action you are trying to preform and the plastic is a bit tougher there, so it doesn't want to bend the joint, so the mold stretches out leading to the arm falling out.
Why is it that when I comment it's always so long. HUUGHHHH. Anyways, amazing video as always. And now the Mario Bros. can watch you sleep. It's great. Speaking of the eyes, it's also probably the thing that makes them so expensive. But who knows really.
