I'm a final year engineering student here in Canada, this has got to be one of the best videos I've seen to review this material. Great work! I'd just want to hear more about cooling rates forming proeutectoid cementite. Thank you sir.
Sir thanks for your video.... Am working in hot rolling - TMT bar before quenching the bar temperature will be 950 to 980 deg cel after quenching the bar temperature will be 550 to 600 deg C (carbon range will be 0.2 to 0.25%) Is it possible to calculate mathematically how much should be water pressure or flow required and quenching time with respective running speed and temperature of the bar After quenching we go for self tempering at atmospheric temperature So that we get a surface structure as martensite and core is ferrite and pearlite how can I understand this combined structure
Brilliant. Could never be more clear. well done.
Thanks bro

Am working in hot rolling - TMT bar

Is this diagram can be used for hypereutectoid?
This diagram for eutectoid steel only. Minor changes are thare for hypereutectoid steel.
