I'd just like to mention one thing...You can and should use a safe sanitising solution like Potassium Metabisulfite through the pump as long as you rinse it out with fresh water afterwards. Will definitely be referring people to this video when they are having issues filtering :D
Yes. We've had it do that and found that pulling the pads up slightly higher (1mm) will do the trick. Also over tightening the plates may contribute. If that doesn't work, you have a faulty unit.
