- This will be one for the books. Absolutely love driving my car here at EBISU. Yes its worrying but once you put the foot down everything goes away and you're literally in your own little world. So damn grateful I stuck to working my guts out to make this all possible. 15 years of non stop grinding to be able to make this s**t happen. Never give up guys and keep pushing for what you want. The RBM3 is here to stay!!!

No doubt the turbosnart product is top shelf but it’s not the right turbo for your setup and the way you drive. Time to put the borgie back on. I bet the iat problems go away and it won’t be as punchy in the midrange but it’ll be much happier living up in the rev range which is where you seem to like driving it.. also. Awesome to see the rbm3 in ebisu. Well done.
Honestly I think the turbosmart 6870 would be perfect for her. That along with a new 2.8 PPM kit would make this car a weapon.
Yeah on a 2.8 it wouldn’t roll over up top and it’ll spend more time in its peak efficiency range and IAT issues should go away. I guess the reality is the old setup was built around a bigger turbo. There’s probably some tuning you could do with the diff ratios to keep it off the limiter so much. lol. At the end of the day it depends what you want to do with it. Whatever you do I’m sure it’ll be fun to watch. You’re a great driver and deserve a lot more views.

It is basically too small of a turbo for the exhaust gases this engine puts out. The high RPM is always a killer for turbos. Ideally a 6870 turbo would be ideal. Hoping to either go that route or back to the borgy but even that was struggling.
Yeah i bet she moves some serious volume at high rpm such a sick engine setup especially in this world of rb30dets these days. Hope its a quick fix bro!! @@DriftSquid

Did you have a Borg Warner EFR turbo setup on this before? They are great turbos, why did you change?
Yes I did. I had a 9174 on her and it was great but was getting noisey. Turbosmart offered for me to test thier new turbo. I wanted to 6870 but they only had this 6466 available
