The ice hotel is not actually in the town of Kiruna but in another small village nearby called Jukkasjärvi.
I went to Kiruna summer last year during the midnight sun season, it was beautiful as well.

Well, you weren't actually in kiruna, you where in jukkasjärvi at the ICEHOTEL. Jukkasjärvi is a small town about 15 minutes drive from Kiruna.
