I find using scarf a much better option than attack weight, HP out scales attack power for the damage but being able to hit 3x faster with our losing to much damage allows for way more crits to occur! 😂

good gameplay but you could use rapid fire scarf instead of attack weight

Just tested this in practice mode.
Attack weight gets about 1000 extra damage per flail cycle at full health. Even bigger discrepancy once you hit low health.
In about 20 uses I did have one cycle with scarf that did 1000 more than attack weight average, but every hit was a crit, so I think that attack weight would still outperform if every hit was a crit as well
