Armelior returns 15 years after the original Rise of the Lich King, a custom campaign for Warcraft 3, with this Reanimated remake. Maps and cinematics have been completely redesigned. This is an alternate story following the Frozen throne campaign. World of Warcraft and the Rexxar story never happen and the Lich King is not content to just sit on the Frozen Throne. Play as Blood Elves, Naga, Humans and Undead through this alternate timeline.

-interesting choice of thumbnail ^^
-in the desert the sun hits hard so that you HAVE to kill the cactosaurs to survive
-once again Jay doesn't play as intended in the centaurs section because he missed a dialogue, but still manages to win by cheesing so...
-the amulet is there in case you get some units stuck behind rocks the 1st time, I didn't anticipate Jay to get ALL his units on the wrong side ^^
-I don't know why the knight didn't pop back, it's a vanilla creep with a vanilla devour, Jay is just cursed I guess
-the rune of speed appears AFTER the stealth, to get back at the dragon quickly
-the dragon part went very well, sometimes he stops attacking before killing every last one of the orcs because he gets distracted by fleeing units
-I should probably buff the boss damage, you're supposed to stun him and avoid melee - you sure can avoid his area of effect attack though
Would actually be pretty cool if there's an enhanced version of devour which instantly kills the targeted unit, which is basically a weaker charm that don't give you control of the unit. Considering that there's the top-level succubus creep that can use charm, it's acceptable that the top-level salamander creep can use a worse charm, no?

The original ending to this mission was less elaborate but had a nice creepy feel to it. They approached the camp and found that all of the orcs there weren't saying anything or moving at all. Then the orcs would burst and release a bunch of undead from their corpses, this all being a trap, after which the undead would swarm the humans and murder everyone with no bossfight at all.
I changed it so it's not a total loss : Danzil still dies and the original mission fails, but at least his sacrifice avoids a potential new conflict between humans and orcs
I agree, the original simple and punching ending. But hey, i like the last boss battle. Add the short-creepy silent scene and make Danz being outnumbered first before the boss-battle will be better. Then, after the undead tauren dead, all surrounding undead orc attacking Danz's army will be more epic instead of single-devastating instant kill spell.
Really liking the desert attrition part where your units take damage while under the burning sun in a desert, not something you see in many games. And the unit variety being vast is a plus on this one too for a micro mission.
I imagine Garithos just nosediving into Kalimdor like "surprise MF" and kills Lich King. It would be the funniest ending for this campaign.

This is one of my favorite missions during the first version how the heat loses the HP of the units, saving the natives from the Centaurs and the ending where they reached the Orc camp and the Orcs turned out to be the Undead, that twist still surprises me
It is kinda a shame that the chapter feels like filler that does not change anything except kill a character that was introduced like 5min before the chapter - just like in the original.
Really hoped that there'd be more of an improvement from the narrative.

There were similarities in this episode to watching a train slowly run over a pedestrian. Jay not over that Illness yet I see.

There is a lot of filler stuff in Defenders of the Light, might not make the best of videos, but I'd still be down to watch it haha
@@stevenborchert6551 Oh, you mean the almost spam with rock chunks and barrels on the map? I didn't think about that though, the story is pretty cool though, there are many places to explore and it's an open universe, that's why I like it
