It was left out because of the prophecies in it, same issue with The Dead Sea Scrolls. Noah was 100% human and that was the reason he was choosen it's in the Hebrew rendering.

If you look into the fire situation it says the locals know who did it but complaints being filed are not being taken into consideration. So someone had clearance to burn them down.
Also google tells you private flights as well could most likely be for food/supplies back and forth.
