Lucy you’re so kind and thoughtful. You donating what you make from Adsense to help those in need in Ukraine is why you’re one of my favorite UA-camrs 💜. So glad you uploaded this ☺️
it's definitely not just you. I have a "normal" job in software, and have thought to myself so many times this week about why the hell I'm still working as normal when there's a global tragedy going on - but there is always a global tragedy going on, and it's not like I can do anything. helpless and frustrating feeling!!
I have to add that it also feels a bit disheartening that it took a war in Europe for many people to realise that the world we live in is a cruel one. Wars have been going on daily ever since I can remember. My country went through a war with neighbors soon after I was born and then we were bombed for 3 months a few years later. And ever since I was a kid I was very aware of all these tragedies and how life, for some, moved in parallel - unbothered. This is our reality it has always been THIS, many were just blessed not to see it before. And it will also not end when this particular war ends and we all have to start being very aware of that.
Re - your discussion on Sunday about the global news: you really, really helped me - thank you! I'm a violin teacher. It's been a long winter. The past week or so I've been standing in lessons wondering "what's the point?" "what am I doing here?" "what does it matter if they bend their thumb or not?" As a person who usually loves my work, this has been kind of scary. I told myself it's because we've gone so long without a vacation and look forward to the one coming up (thank goodness!!) in just a week or so. I try to figure out strategies for how to cope with next winter's long stretch. I think "maybe it's because my elderly dog is sick and I can't get an appointment at the vet until Thursday." And now I'm watching your video and realizing - heck, the NEWS! I'm so good at denying that things are affecting me... thanks, Lucy.
Your job, and correcting our thumbs and pan handle wrists, is so important! You're training musicians, giving people a skill that will see them through their life: the joyous bits and the hard bits. Sending good vibes as a viola player
Thank you as always for bringing the authentic content. It’s a hard time… but know your videos are another mode of connection and comfort that people can find solace in. xx
I rarely comment. I’ve been watching your videos for years, they’re like a beautiful little cinematic escape from my world and at the same time they feel like a chat with a friend. I’m Ukrainian living abroad & a feeling of “not doing enough” is very real. Add also constant state of fear for your family and all consuming rage 😅 anyways, thank you for creating ❤️🩹
You are inspiring just because watching your videos make me feel good. Make me want to take care of myself, make me want to travel, to wear nice and comfortable clothes, make me feel less lonely about anxious issues. So, I think you are helping more than other people with "traditional" careers. Thank you for that. I hope you are feeling well! You are doing a really great job.
Really enjoyed the honesty at the end of this video Lucy. I had similar feelings as a flower farmer on Friday, planting seeds and wondering what the hell is it all worth? But I will say, that we are all feeling it, but this vlog I am watching on a Monday morning before work and things are tricky head wise, but this brought me a lot of calm before the day ahead. So thank you for bringing those moments of peace. Be well lovely
My job is basically just reading and analyzing the news all day, every day, and you very concisely put into words the limbo of despair I’ve been feeling
Lucy I'm still really happy that you shared a few moments, it's really ok that you didn't film more. Thank you anyway for uploading it's much appreciated, sending love to everyone❤
I would try to be generous and give yourself plenty of grace. There is no rulebook for how we should feel and respond when terrible global events happen. It's tough. Tougher for those directly affected, Of course, but tough all round 💜💜
They filmed a lot of batman in Liverpool. Robert stayed in a hotel behind my house which I could see from from my bedroom window, sounds creepy now I say that...
As a historian, I often think about people deleting files. We think of the digital world as permanent -- an everlasting record of ourselves. We're told that the internet is forever. But in reality, we delete files with no backup, they get corrupted, or they were created with obsolete systems/code and we can't access them anymore/won't be able to in the future. We're living in the information age, but without hardcopy archives, there may be relatively little record of this time to look back on and reexamine.
Completely get what you mean at the end of the video. I watched a documentary earlier today called "winter on fire" about Ukraine it was a netflix one but UA-cam have put it on there platform. It's devastating what happenend there and I just want to help in anyway I can!
It's v real here in CZ with lots of refugees arriving each day, lots of Ukrainians in our communities, at work, friends... it's hard to focus on anything, and everything feels pretty useless.
Omg that guy singing at that gig you went to - Newton Faulkner! He’s a legend, wouldn’t really say he’s up and coming lol i think hes been making music for a decade but everyone needs to hear his music, he’s amazing. I’m actually getting a tattoo from his song “Write it on your skin” for my birthday.
stop putting so much pressure on yourself with ur content gal it isn’t attainable just like every average 9/5 workday can’t always go exactly as planned! Ur doing gd ✨
There has been global wars that has been occurring over the decades and still are (Palestine, Syria and Yemen, muslim camps in China). I wish people also cared about those wars too which have been going on for so long. The damages to their lives and country has been immense and no one says anything or does anything to help. No one i feel is united with these tragedies as much as Ukraine and I wonder if it is because Palestine, Syria and Yemen are not a white european country and therefore not spoken about as much.

Omg, you've seen Batman. I can not. I'm in Russia and they've cancelled the release here :(
Thank you for posting anyway, you lifted my spirits!

What sort of therapy are you doing? Glad to hear that it's helping you feel better 💗

I love how this 168 hours flow, so well done! I was wondering, where is the phone charging dock from? x

Saw you in Bethnal Green and I was so gutted I didn’t say Hi

Where are your leggings and sports bra set from? Loved this video!
Dear human that's reading this, we may not know each others but I wish you all the best in life!✨
I wouldn't buy skincare in those type of jars. It builds up a lot of bacteria and it starts molding! xx
Yeah it was a weird week to cover but then who knew the whole world would turn in on itself?
