This scene is more horrific than any of the horror scenes from any horror movie, if you can understand.
even if you know next to nothing about radiation, the beauty of the scene is that you can guess that the ash was very, very, very bad.
What a chilling montage, you can almost taste the tragedy.
These people might as well have been walking through a mushroom cloud..and they had no idea.
Radiation is so strange. None of the bridge of death spectators made it, but two of the three divers inside chernobyl are still alive.
It was called the "Bridge of Death" for two reasons. One is for what is depicted here in this scene, and two because the bridge was the main entrance to the Chernobyl power plant, and many who crossed this bridge (firefighters, cleanup crew, coal miners, the "bio robots") to get to the plant died days, months or years later.
They stood there admiring the view, unkowingly being bathed in radiation while their children played in radioactive ash. What they thought was a beautiful moment led to their agonising deaths.
I live in Atlanta and a few years ago, a gas plant caught fire! People were pulling over and standing around to watch when things started to explode! But not me, I knew better. You could fell the heat from the I-75 interstate!
One of the best mini Series ever!!
This show was so well done. The scariest things in life aren’t zombies or aliens, it’s real life tragedies such as these. These people had no idea and watching the children playing and the father lifting the baby up to the falling ashes produced such a nauseating sense of dread for me. They had no clue! You can’t help but wonder what things we currently don’t understand that could change the course of history.
This mini series was so heartbreaking
The moment you noticed the direction of the breeze is blowing in their direction you knew their fate was sealed.
Who would have thought a couple of moving particles that you can’t see would be that deadly
The music is so perfect for that scene. Props to the composer.
What's horrifying is that those particles could be caught in your hair, in your pockets, stuck to your skin,
Death rain enjoyed by civilians in a exotic way rip the guys who died by enjoying
The best series i have ever watched
Being inside the disaster and not knowing about it, that’s what makes this scene so horrific
The score makes it more gritty!!
