@@david.stachon you are wrong, anybody could learn what he does with the same environment, dedication, and training. It's not easy, but anybody could. There is no such thing as natural 'brightness'. He trained and worked. That's all.
@@jamess9579 No. I'm sorry. No. In the same way there are gifted athletes, there are gifted minds as well. Einstein just didn't work harder than everyone else.
@@david.stachon But the only reason Einstein realised his potential was through an incredible amount of study and training, without that he would be capable of nothing -- there is no gift. If there is such as thing as natural aptitude, it certainly does not kick in until a level far beyond what Chris Hadfield's intellectual capabilities are (his level of intelligence is not even comparable to Einsteins, orders of magnitude apart). Thus, I still maintain that 95% of all people, with the right practice, training, and dedication, could obtain the skills he has (not knocking him, I am very impressed by the work he must have put in to get where he is).
Chris always fills my heart with joy and happiness. I can't quite put my finger on it, but to me he is the most wonderful role model that I think mankind has in this moment. I think he has the capability of all tasks seem insignificant. He had journeyed into the unknown and has suffered for us to bring us knowledge back to earth. Not only had he helped expand three boundaries of space exploration; but he has shown me as a growing young man what a man should be like in this world of every changing unknowns. Not only that but I think he shows every human what humans can be. The news is always filling is with dread and angst but this man is walking proof that you can be the best human you are capable of being. correction, he commanded the international space station. However, he did not command the soyuz rocket that he rode in (his russian crewmember did that).

I love this.
His parents say, "he's a very capable human being".
Despite being so extraordinary gifted in nearly every respect, they're so modest.
you're wrong, he's not 'gifted' -- he trained and studied hard in order to acquire the skills.
@@jamess9579 I'm not wrong.
He's extremely bright (naturally (i.e. gifted)) AND did the hard work to acquire the skills.
