The pews are saying that they got something on the good pastor. I wonder what it could be? It must be horrible that this man just up and quit after over 40 years. Pray for this man because he's gonna need it, I suspect. Thank God, the dearly departed Lois isn't here for what's to come with him because they are going to let us know what he did. So stay tuned!!! Oh and remember to like and subscribe if you haven't already. Thanks and Take heart and care. ❤

Sis. I want to say be careful abou the things you post about Pastors.. God's servants. You don't want to bring a curse on yourself or your family. Just because you may not understand or know what God says about judging His sservants doesn't exempt you from penalties that come with talking against His servants.
I know you want to keep people "in the know" about things but I would NOT talk about things like this...
      Humbly submitted to you.❤

He has confessed to leadership and his family - his inner circle who will continue to pray for and with him. One has to be careful to whom they confess their sins. The goal is to be restored and not everyone is equipped to gently restore someone who has fallen. I don't think the congregation is entitled to any detailed explanation of his sin because he is no longer leading. When you know the specific sin, does that make you pray more for him? We live in a cruel, demonic world where he (and potentially all Christians) will inevitably become the subject of relentless ridicule because of his actions. Will that be good for repentance and healing? I believe in due time, when he is healed, he will be prompted by the Holy Spirit to share if this process will be beneficial to others. We all have sinned and fallen short. How often do you confess your sins to your brothers and sisters in Christ? Just imagine if everyone knows your sin and makes fun of you before you are truly ready to be transparent. Trust God and extend grace.

Him acknowledging that there’s sin should be enough. Him voluntarily stepping down speaks volumes to his character and his reverence for God. People wanting to know what the sin is need to check their motives for wanting to know. If he’s shared those things with someone or someone’s in leadership that can help him find total repentance and healing through this is all that’s needed! If people are wanting to know as to use it as a source of gossip then they need to check themselves! That’s sin!
Not many are willing to give up leadership even if it’s exposed by others. It takes a true man of God to feel they can’t lead God’s people unless they’re walking in the light! We all need to check ourselves and drop the stones!

He openly confessed it to the leading elders of the church. And to his closest advisors. Not every admitted sin needs to be aired publicly. There is ' public sin' and ' private sin '" The first would DEFFINANTLY need to be confessed PUBLICALLY. The second; to a close group of trusted advisors and friends who can help you. It' s none of my business what Tony's ' private and personal ' sin was . I do not want to know. Why? Because I am not better. I TOO have my personal struggles and wish NOT to have every one of them aired publicly. He is seeking advice and help. And I commend him for that, as well as his honesty to those advisors and friends. Leave him alone.

Without specifically confessing sin, it leaves the door open for speculation and gossip, which damages the people in his congregation more than open confession. Unfortunately, undiscerning sheeple will continue to allow false teachers like Evans to go through a so called “healing and restoration” process. This is how they keep themselves from being permanently removed from the ministry as they should be. He no longer meets the biblical requirements of pastoral ministry as clearly outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. He obviously is not above reproach and no longer has a good reputation for those in his community.

This sin supposedly happened years ago? He could no longer contain the truth. He was given an ultimatum and was about to be outed. He probably paid someone off as well. According to 1 Timothy 5:19-20, church leaders who sin should be reprimanded in front of the entire congregation as a warning to others. These people are not biblical.

Pastor Tony Evans not only is a sincere man of God, but he's also a man, a human. Just because he is a pastor doesn't exempt him from sin. Paul the apostle was inspired to write these words in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." The word all includes everybody. You, me and the whole world. The only person that walked this earth sinless was Jesus. Maybe you forgot about or haven't heard about the woman who was accused of adultery in John chapter 8. The religous leaders and many others was ready to stone her. But Jesus said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her." Now notice, they all had too drop their stones, even the religous leaders, some even priests. Why, because they all were guilty of some sort of sin. Jesus was the only one who was without sin. And why are so many people concerned about what he did, why do we need to know what sin he committed? Listen people, sin is sin. There's no big sin neither little sin. Many are saying, "I wonder what he did, oh I wanna know." My question to those who feel that they need to know is, what does it matter to you? None of us has the power to forgive men of their sins. So why do we need to know. If you really think about it, being nosey is a sin also. Those that need to know has been informed. Once Pastor Evans went into his prayer closet or his secret place and talked to God about it, he was forgiven. 1 John 1:9 reads, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Confess to God, because He has the power to forgive. The only reason man wants to know what happened is because people need something to talk about. Yeah I know that James 5:16 says, "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." You just can't tell everyone about what's happening in your life because some people don't mean you any good. Notice, everyone (especially the nosey ones) is hot on the internet seeking to find out what Pastor Evans did. But only about 10% are praying for him. If someone has committed a crime, and they wiped away their fingerprints and anything that could convict them, and you unknowingly walked in and began to touch and pickup things leaving your prints, who do you think that the police will look for? Once God has forgiven this person, let us not bring up or dig up what God has forgiven. Because it was you that left your fingerprints and you will be held accountable. Pastor Evans is not my pastor, neither have I ever met him. But I think that we really need to do what the word of God instructs us to do, instead of doing things the world's way. We all have done some things that was wrong. Some things we talked about and some things we've kept locked inside only to talk to God about it. Listen, the same way that you handle this situation, will be the same way things will happen to you. You reap what you sow.

The first question should be did the spirit lead him to handle this the way that he did? I would not know the answer to that. Personally my imperfect mine leasds me to believe this was not the best way. Because everybody wants to know what the sinn is. The thorn in the side of Paul was never revealed as to what the struggle was. Even though we do understand the thorn in his side was a struggle of some sort add more likely was a sin. . Which God proclaimed his Mercy is sufficient. I have always believed Tony Evans along with Charles Stanley were solid preachers. I listen to Many over the years . The problem I have is the speculations hope it was not due to misrepresentation of the word of any sort. For me that would be the biggest problem. Other than that, we are all human beings. If you think you stand be careful Lest you fall. And let us see our salvation each and every one of by shaking and trembling. May we stop all from pointing fingers open for the demise or anybody whatsoever. Let us pray they get it right. We all should accept it. Pray for the man and move on.

Your not asked to openly tell the congregation every mistake you've ever made. He confessed his sins to his wife, family, and the elders of the church and that's enough. Admitting and stepping down is a lot. Telling the entire world will jus make a bunch of memes, gossiping, "I told you so's", "all pastors are fake" talking

However, God holds those in authority over others to higher standards...& stiffer sentences...
He has a _world wide_ following. That pumped in hundred$ of million$ to his ‘mini$try’.
Sorry, He doesn’t get to slide under the table w/this.
If he thinks God is going to let him, you just wait & see....
God doesn’t play games. And all these ‘preachers’ being taken down, shows that.
He _will_ follow through. Even if they try not to.
TD is another one. And Creflo. Murdock, Hinn, Copeland, Jesse, Joel...Too many to mention...

“Like the Bible states”, should the FIRST person you cast that passage at, be Tony Evan’s?! Also, THE ONLY REASON there’s “speculation”, is because he gave a half-hearted “confession”, that didn’t disclose the “SIN”. It’s pretty obvious, that he didn’t commit gluttony, or was simply unkind! “We all sin everyday.”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You think “the world” doesn’t see that! Also, that’s the main reason why you shouldn’t “preaching” to anyone else. Get your own life straight! Live like you actually believe, what you say you believe.

Forgiving does not equate to putting that person in a leadership position. We can and should remain in forgiveness even when someone is in unrepentant sin, it does not mean we fellowship with them while they are in that state. This is how the Bible teaches us to handle other believers. When they do repent we restore them to fellowship, not leaders.

In fact many people put into leadership positions were never qualified to be in that position in the first place. Timothy and Titus tell us what qualifications to look for in leaders and how to handle fallen leaders. It also says people should be tested before they are put into deacon service. And it is supposed to be service, not lording over as the world does.

But Pastor Evans answered. I trust the Lord and his word. That video made my life and pain easier to cope. So God bless him for doing what is right. Stepping away temporarily. As it should be done. If something in his heart is convicting him to do so. Then he is honoring God. Now in saying that. Be careful what you say about a God-ordained Pastor. Understand, the host of this channel. Pastor Evans in over 40 years has not led anyone astray. You speaking ill will of him and gossiping. Can seriously come back to haunt you. People often asked why doesn't a Pastor get specific or be transparent when they happen to sin or have a mishap in judgment, and the short answer is there are too many immature Christians who would have the pastor's best interest at heart. One has to be wise when one shares his life with others, especially pastors. Not everyone can handle the sin of a pastor, and so that pastor must exercise a great deal of wisdom and maturity when he shares what he is going through, and so with that in mind, my friend since 1988, Dr. Tony has exercised a great deal of wisdom in this very personal situation. Be assured that his family and the board of Elders of OCBF are all aware of the specifics of this story. This Scripture does not say to confess your sins to everyone. Not everyone is mature enough to handle matters of the soul and heart. That’s the job of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Tony Evans has humbled himself. No one has the right to pass judgment for we all will appear before the JUDGE of all judges. We can’t throw away 40 years of Scriptural teaching. Whether he practiced what he preached, he will answer to God here on Earth and on judgment day. We all will. Because he is a high profile minister doesn’t mean we get to bash him. On top of that, God's Word clearly spells out HIS requirements for various church leaders. If God requires an elder to be OPENLY REBUKED BEFORE ALL (so others may also FEAR) if he is guilty of an accusation (1 Timothy 5:19-20 in the KJV), the same would definitely apply to a pastor.

Scripture does say confess our sins one to another. It does not say our sins have to be confessed to the entire congregation or to the world at large. He has done his confession within the inner circle, more than likely the Elders, and to his family. This is one of the reasons those outside the Christian faith criticize us: because we do not forgive and restore our own. He has followed scripture and is stepping down from leadership to be restored and led. He is not deceptive because he did not cover up that there is a sin in his life that he believes prohibits him from leading and just retire without explanation or lying about why. I pray for him as he bravely lives this decision.

    Luke 12:2
“For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.”

It is not for us to want to know what the sin was. It is for us to lovingly pray for and uphold this man of God as he goes through this time. We as the body of Christ have to let go of all of the gossiping and heresy that many will do. We must fall to our knees and pray for this man of God and ask God to forgive him. I honestly don't need to know what he did. I have enough to do daily to keep myself from falling away from God in these trying times that we live in. So I pray that the body of Christ will see this as a sign that we need to pray more and point the finger less. Because there goes I (or any of us) if it wasn't for the grace of God.

He confessed his sin to the Elders of the church. The Bible does not require him to confess his sin to a sin sick unholy "World." He's been forgiven. He's healing, and that's all that's required.
