Slower ground speed gives them time to fall onto the 'kicker drum' instead of tumbling forward as you see. It usually cycles them around again, though. I love mine but there is a little learning curve.

Another time we borrowed the neighbors cultipacker and between looking forward and looking back it caught a large rock and bent a very long shaft. That was late 70’s and we replaced that shaft which cost $1,000 just for the part. I got yelled at.

And how many years of plowing and rock picking does it take to not have to rock pick a field?
While is does get better each time you pick, there are some areas that just never get clean.

These really only work when you have no trash left in the field. Otherwise they just fill up with trash.

There was, the ground had a lot of moisture. But it was go time so we just had to grin and bear it.
