Bus ka Rs 3k (Delhi to Dalhousie to Delhi in Volvo). Bike rent Rs. 1600-2000 for 2 days. A decent hotel Rs. 3k for 2 days. Fuel + Food Rs. 2k.

Even I have also visited the dalhousie with my family on oct 2023 for 3 nites & 4 days. It was amazing trip with family. 1st day we stayed at rock garden and 2nd day we stayed at khajjiar and 3rd day we stayed at dhalousie mall road. So, we experienced all the location and I would recommend to all of u that must visit dalhosie at least once in a life with ur family members. Definitely our parents will enjoy alot.

Let's suppose ki aap apni trip Delhi se start karenge toh Aap direct Dalhousie tak panhoch sakte hain by Bus or Dharamshalase se bhi aap start kar sakte hain. Inn saare jagahon ko cover karne ke liye at least 5 din toh aapke paas hone hi chahiye. Agar aap day 1 ko Delhi se journey start karte hain toh day 2 me subah Dharamshala panhoch ke sightseeing kar sakte hain by taxi (6-7 points ke Rs. 2500 charge karte hain), day 3 me aap McLeodganj explore kar sakte hain aur interested hain toh Triund trek pe bhi jake raat ko wahan stay karke subah wapas McLeodganj/Dharamshala wapas aa sakte hain, day 4 me aap nikal jaiye Dalhousie ke tarah. Buses milte rehte hain Direct bus na bhi mile toh connecting bus toh mil hi jaate hain. day 5 me aap Dalhousie ke tourist spots explore kar sakte hain aaram se, ek din kaafi hai. Day 6 ko aap Khajjiar jake Dalhousie wapas laut sakte hain aur wapas Delhi ke liye nikal sakte hain. Outdoor activities ke liye May kaafi accha rahega aur rainy season bhi start nahi hua hoga toh koi issue hi nahi hai.
Yes, Dalhousie and Khajjiar receive snowfall in mid January. Yesterday I saw a news report on Aaj Tak and got to know that it has already started snowing in Chamba and Dalhousie. Mid Jan is perfect to find snow and you'll most probably see a lot of snow at Dainkund peak. However, it totally depends on your luck if you’ll get to experience live snowfall.

Along with the places you might also focus on the famous food or affordable eateries which are renowned for some specific dishes. For example, Amritsar has some very famous lassi shops and dhabas which are close to 100yrs old. Every place might have some unique food item or speciality which might add more value to the content

Since I didn't visit any of these places, I won't be able to give much info about these. If you speak with the locals once you reach Dalhousie or Khajjiar, it'll be quite helpful to you. Also there are certain videos about Jot pass as well on YT which you can check.
November me jyada thand nahi hogi par pleasant weather bilkul rahega. Snow etc. aapko December ke end me milta hai. Hotels ke price normal hi rahenge aur Rs. 1000 se milne shuru ho jayenge. Aapke requirements ke hisaab se aap kisi bhi limit tak jaa sakte hain. Aap homestays bhi try kar sakte hain.

It's mostly safe to drive, but do watch out for occasional narrow stretches and sharp turns. It's absolutely safe to drive on this route, and to gain some confidence in driving in Himachal Pradesh, this would be a good stretch. Dharamshala to Dalhousie: You won't find any challenges in the first half of the road as you will be driving almost at the same altitude until about Nurpur. You would have already used the same road while going to Dharamshala. This drive is also quite beautiful. The roads are mostly in good condition, but like any hilly region, be prepared for some winding roads. From Nurpur to Dalhousie, it will be a bit challenging but not that risky at all. I visited Dharamshala and Dalhousie in the first week of December last year, so you will likely have the same experience as I did. It was not very cold at that time, with temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius. When we think of hill stations, we expect very cold weather and maybe even snowfall. To experience that, the time around Christmas is perfect if you can manage to go then. You may not want to miss seeing a snow covered Khajjiar. Some general tips would be to carry warm clothes and sunscreen. Also you can try staying at Kalatop Sanctuary.

While other areas have faced issues like landslides, Dalhousie hasn't, and the same was the case last year. Still, it’s generally not advisable to visit the mountains during the rainy months. Agar aap solo hain toh Rs. 1500 se aur 2-3 log hain toh Rs. 2000 se decent hotels ke rates start ho jaate hain. If possible aap Dalhousie panhoch ke hotels ke location aur wahan se view kaisa aata hai yeh dekh ke bhi hotels select kar sakte hain. Khajjiar aur Kalatop me bhi stay ke options hain jo aap consider kar sakte hain.

Last week of December and the initial period of January is a great time to expect a snow covered Khajjiar for sure, however, had this question been asked to me in the month of December, it would have been easier for me to check the forecast. Sometimes it can be delayed by a week or so as well. But, if we go by the records, the time you are planning to go there is an ideal time to find snow.

July se September kehte hain ki rainy season hai Himachal me par 2nd week September tak situation normal aur pleasant ho jaana chahiye. Waise bhi Dalhousie wala area safer rehta hai baarish bhi hoti hai toh. Amritsar ka toh koi issue hi nahi hai. Aapko koi issue nahi hoga in terms of rain and all aur weather bilkul accha rahega jaise ki bas ek light winter wear se kaam chal jayega jaise ki ek patle se sweater se aur same goes for the ladies as well. Deb ji, staying near both these places will be convenient. Whereas Gandhi chowk is a bit crowded, Subhash chowk is on the quiter side. I'll name a few decent hotels after doing a bit of research. And yes, climbing to the Dainkund Peak is indeed strenuous even for young people. But no worries. You have still got a lot of places to explore. You may like Kalatop Wilflife Sanctuary as well.

You can visit these places year-round, but if you want to experience snowfall in Manali town, the best time is from late December to February. Alternatively, you can head towards Atal Tunnel, Sissu, and Rohtang Pass (weather permitting) to find snow most of the time. Same is the case gor Dalhousie and Khajjiar. Sunset bilkul miss na karein. Dusre din aap subah subah nikal jaiye Khajjiar ke taraf, phir Chamba ke taraf thoda aage jaake lord Shiva statue, Santoshi Maa temple aur Manimahesh View Point jaake phir Dainkund Peak jaake Dalhousie wapas laut ke time bacha ho toh Panjpula bhi jaa sakte hain. Time kam hone ki wajah se yeh trip thoda sa hectic ho sakta hai par totally worth ho jayega. Subhash Baoli bhi aap include kar sakte hain kisi bhi din. In most parts of Himachal, it has been raining since the beginning of this month, but there have been no reports of any damage in the Dalhousie region. That part is safer than the rest for sure. We can expect the weather to be good in August.

However, if snow isn't your priority or you can't adjust your travel dates, October is still a great month to visit these destinations. I used to go very often in summer holidays with my parents when I was small. Dalhousie was our fav spot. Now i live in Australia, i took my kids 8 years back.

Even I have also visited the dalhousie with my family on oct 2023 for 3 nites & 4 days. It was amazing trip with family. 1st day we stayed at rock garden and 2nd day we stayed at khajjiar and 3rd day we stayed at dhalousie mall road. So, we experienced all the location and I would recommend to all of u that must visit dalhosie at least once in a life with ur family members. Definitely our parents will enjoy alot.

Agar aap day 1 ko Delhi se journey start karte hain toh day 2 me subah Dharamshala panhoch ke sightseeing kar sakte hain by taxi (6-7 points ke Rs. 2500 charge karte hain), day 3 me aap McLeodganj explore kar sakte hain aur interested hain toh Triund trek pe bhi jake raat ko wahan stay karke subah wapas McLeodganj/Dharamshala wapas aa sakte hain, day 4 me aap nikal jaiye Dalhousie ke tarah. Buses milte rehte hain Direct bus na bhi mile toh connecting bus toh mil hi jaate hain. day 5 me aap Dalhousie ke tourist spots explore kar sakte hain aaram se, ek din kaafi hai. Day 6 ko aap Khajjiar jake Dalhousie wapas laut sakte hain aur wapas Delhi ke liye nikal sakte hain. Outdoor activities ke liye May kaafi accha rahega aur rainy season bhi start nahi hua hoga toh koi issue hi nahi hai.

Yes, Dalhousie and Khajjiar receive snowfall in mid January. Yesterday I saw a news report on Aaj Tak and got to know that it has already started snowing in Chamba and Dalhousie. Mid Jan is perfect to find snow and you'll most probably see a lot of snow at Dainkund peak. However, it totally depends on your luck if you’ll get to experience live snowfall.

Once you reach Pathankot, things get much easier. If you have prior experience driving in the hills, renting a car and exploring on your own is unbeatable. November me jyada thand nahi hogi par pleasant weather bilkul rahega. Snow etc. aapko December ke end me milta hai. Hotels ke price normal hi rahenge aur Rs. 1000 se milne shuru ho jayenge. Aapke requirements ke hisaab se aap kisi bhi limit tak jaa sakte hain. Aap homestays bhi try kar sakte hain.

Pathankot to Dharamshala: The drive is quite scenic with mostly good roads. It's mostly safe to drive, but do watch out for occasional narrow stretches and sharp turns. It's absolutely safe to drive on this route, and to gain some confidence in driving in Himachal Pradesh, this would be a good stretch.
Dharamshala to Dalhousie: You won't find any challenges in the first half of the road as you will be driving almost at the same altitude until about Nurpur. You would have already used the same road while going to Dharamshala. This drive is also quite beautiful. The roads are mostly in good condition, but like any hilly region, be prepared for some winding roads. From Nurpur to Dalhousie, it will be a bit challenging but not that risky at all.
I visited Dharamshala and Dalhousie in the first week of December last year, so you will likely have the same experience as I did. It was not very cold at that time, with temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius. When we think of hill stations, we expect very cold weather and maybe even snowfall. To experience that, the time around Christmas is perfect if you can manage to go then. You may not want to miss seeing a snow covered Khajjiar. Some general tips would be to carry warm clothes and sunscreen. Also you can try staying at Kalatop Sanctuary.

The daytime temperature will be around 20 -25 degrees Celsius, making it pleasant, while it may drop to about 15 degrees Celsius at night. Bringing some light winter wear would be perfect.

June to August is the rainy season in Dalhousie. According to news reports, rain has created havoc in most parts of Himachal, making it unsuitable for visiting. While other areas have faced issues like landslides, Dalhousie hasn't, and the same was the case last year. Still, it’s generally not advisable to visit the mountains during the rainy months. If you’ve already decided to go, please be safe.

June ke month me hotel ke price decent rehte hain. Pehle se book karne ki jarurat nahi padegi. Agar aap solo hain toh Rs. 1500 se aur 2-3 log hain toh Rs. 2000 se decent hotels ke rates start ho jaate hain. If possible aap Dalhousie panhoch ke hotels ke location aur wahan se view kaisa aata hai yeh dekh ke bhi hotels select kar sakte hain. Khajjiar aur Kalatop me bhi stay ke options hain jo aap consider kar sakte hain.

Last week of December and the initial period of January is a great time to expect a snow covered Khajjiar for sure, however, had this question been asked to me in the month of December, it would have been easier for me to check the forecast. Sometimes it can be delayed by a week or so as well. But, if we go by the records, the time you are planning to go there is an ideal time to find snow.

Deb ji, staying near both these places will be convenient. Whereas Gandhi chowk is a bit crowded, Subhash chowk is on the quiter side. I'll name a few decent hotels after doing a bit of research. And yes, climbing to the Dainkund Peak is indeed strenuous even for young people. But no worries. You have still got a lot of places to explore. You may like Kalatop Wilflife Sanctuary as well.

You can visit these places year-round, but if you want to experience snowfall in Manali town, the best time is from late December to February. Alternatively, you can head towards Atal Tunnel, Sissu, and Rohtang Pass (weather permitting) to find snow most of the time. Same is the case gor Dalhousie and Khajjiar. In November, the weather will be very pleasant and you'll have a great time.

Yeh video last year December 1st week ki hi hai. Toh aapko snow door se hi dikhegi. Dalhousie ya Dharamshala (McLeodganj) me aapko snow new year ke time ke baad se milegi. Dalhousie ke paas Dainkund me snow milegi thodi bahot. Dharamshala aur Dalhousie me situation waisa hi rahega jaise videos me dikhaye Gaye hain jinhe aap reference ke taur pe dekh sakte hain. Weather cold rahega for sure.

I had traveled to this place in mid December. The weather would still be preferable to visit here until May end.

Hi, bro. The date you're planning to visit Dalhousie is perfect! Snowfall is typically expected from late December through February, so you'll likely experience plenty of snow in Dalhousie and Khajjiar. At Dainkund Peak, you can expect even more snow than what you saw in my video.
It seems you're students traveling on a budget. For transportation, the most affordable option is the ordinary bus from Delhi to Dalhousie, which costs around Rs. 790. However, if you prefer traveling by train, you can go to Pathankot by train and then take a bus either to Banikhet or directly to Dalhousie. Taking the train to Pathankot will reduce your travel costs.
As for accommodation, even though late December is peak tourist season, you should be able to find rooms for Rs. 1500 to Rs. 2000 per night. You'll likely need two rooms, but staying in Khajjiar will be more expensive. Below is a breakdown of the estimated costs per person for your trip:

@@vishalchauhan9592 If your travel date is fixed, it's a good idea to make your bookings for peace of mind. Since you're traveling during peak season, it's actually better to book online. Had it been any other time, booking directly at the hotel upon arrival would have been a better option.
Can I visit in August????
In most parts of Himachal, it has been raining since the beginning of this month, but there have been no reports of any damage in the Dalhousie region. That part is safer than the rest for sure. We can expect the weather to be good in August.

Feb 14th ka time bahot hi accha hai Dalhousie & Khajjiar ke liye. Aapko snow jaroor mil jayega par fresh snow/live snowfall dekhne ko milega ya nahi yeh toh luck ki baat hai. Aap nikalne se pehle forecast jaroor check kar lena. Raaste band hone ke koi chances toh normally toh nahi hote. Toh all good.👍

You surely can, however, the rainy season starts from June. So do check the weather forecast before making any booking. Otherwise the temperature will be very pleasant.

Hi. it's actually not safe to visit Dalhousie or any hilly area in Himachal during the rainy season (June - September). There have been mishaps in recent years. You may want to consider another destination or postpone your trip.

June end and July start se rainy season start ho jati hai toh weather forecast check kar lena jaane se pehle. Mountains me rainy season me jaana advisable nahi hai par jaane wale toh jaate hi hain🙂 kuch extra days bhi rakhna in case baarish ho jaaye. Aur aap kaunse states jaana chahte hain us hisaab se main bata paunga.

Aap Dharamshala to Dalhousie toh by bus jaa sakte hain par dono hi jagah se sightseeing ke liye taxi book karni hogi. Sharing taxis mere khayal se nahi milte. Aapko koi aur solo traveler ya 1-2 log mil jaate hain toh acchi baat hai jo ki luck ki baat hai. Maine Dharamshala me ek taxi book kiya tha jiske liye Rs. 2000 dene pade the jabki Dalhousie me ek bike rent pe liya tha. Dalhousie to Khajjiar bhi bus mil jayegi par sightseeing ke liye toh taxi hi sahi hai.
Aug me jana thik rhega?
Ummeed hai baarish thodi kam ho jayegi next month. August one of the best months nahi hai Himachal ke liye par Dalhousie side thoda safe hai kyun ki uss side mishaps ki koi khabar nahi aati. July se September tak rainy season rehta hai par aapne decide kar liya hai toh jaane se pehle thoda forecast check kar lena aur please be safe.

The max temperature will remain below 30 degrees so the weather will be pleasant for sure but, there'll also be chances of rain. So check the weather forecast before leaving and if possible, keep a few days extra.
Taxi ka fare kitna rahega from pathankot?
Pathankot to Dalhousie ka taxi fare Rs. 2000 to Rs. 2500 rahega. Uber me Rs. 2300 ke aas paas show kar raha hai.

Mid June se September tak rainy season rehta hai aur hilly areas me thoda khatra rehta hai jaisa aap pichle kuch saalon me dekh rahe honge. Yeh baat bhi hai ki har din baarish nahi hogi. Baarish nahi hone ke chances hain kisi particular dates ke liye toh aap ja sakte hain.

Actually, July rainy season hota hai. Matlab not an ideal time par temperature bahot accha rehta hai plus unlimited greenery!!! Aapne decide kar liya hai toh kuch din extra jaroor rakhein taaki kisi din aap baarish ki wajah se na ghum payen toh extra day(s) kaam aayenga. Baaki, have a great trip!!!
