I mean, in Daniel's defense, he's an old guy with an escalating disease, got promised an honest interview/book, and he just found out the vampires have been lying to him, not only about the story but about him as well, hence all the flashbacks he's been having of Armand and the first interview.
The strange thing about the satanic vampire coven is that they thought of themselves through the point of view of Christianity. They thought they were serving the christian god through satan. Louis even kinda references this point of view in season one when he said that vampires play a part in the divine plan. They feel vampires should live in filth, and live in dirty places like sewers and underneath old cemeteries. Lestat came along and destroyed that way of thinking. He lived loud and proud, and showed them their religious beliefs were silly superstition.
Daniel is definitely detached, if he feels too much for them or the story he’ll let his guard down. I think that’s why he relies on humor & skepticism. I enjoy his pushy personality tho 😂 He’s a reckless, dying old man who’s already lost most the relationships in life and right now he’s only certain that he can’t trust these 2 vampires who’ve lied to him (even if Daniel has connection with them). He has a strong suspicion the vampires might even be lying to themselves bcuz he’s sure what he’s hearing is not the whole truth. His career means he’s seen *a lot* of danger & darkness but he can’t stop digging for the truth, like a compulsion.
"This is a little german" made me remember the book "Carrion Comfort" about mind vampires. One of the first vampires of the book is a SS officer that feeds on people in concentration camps. Excelent book, I could not understand how it never got adapted to film or series. And the author is the superfamous Dan Simmons, that had already successful series adapting some of this work.
Even when you're not talking, you're still quite expressive. Don't worry, this season will rile you up yet. And to be honest, I think some viewers' only way to get to watch the show is through Reaction vids. AMC+ is not available everywhere. I think that's the main reason the show has lower than expected viewer numbers.
Daniel is his own character but he's also the audience surrogate. He gets to say the things we're thinking as we watch ("You both f****d Lestat" and "You have a real name?" in response to Raglan James introducing himself). I'm sorry he's not your cup of tea
It's one of the greatest adaptations of all time because it catches the spirit and themes of the books while not repeating same stuff The actors and writers are literally genius
Lestat

I was so happy to see Louis flirt openly with someone and him saying "I'm out here finding myself"
"I appreciate how Louis is just honest" 😳
Louis is my fave character, I don’t care what anyone says lol
Armand wrote a little fanfic about him and Lestat, good for him I guess
We all know Lestat would have obliterated his ass
not true, the writers confirmed everything armand said was true, he just omitted other details like what happened to nicki etc

I absolutely love IWTV! (You might say I'm obsessed since the writing and actors are so good) And your reactions always seem so real😭🇫🇮
THANK YOU ❤️
@@Madvisionn You have a Finnish vibe😆 Take that as a compliment. (Just meaning you're similar in your reactions to myself...)

Daniel is just annoyed. And he is affraid to connect with people. No wonder he devorced two wifes and has a bad relationship with his children.

11:50 There goes our poor victim Louis who would not hurt a fly.

yeah i just don’t like the character or the actor lol
It's true Armand and Lestat have no chemistry!! lol
oh it’s not just me good
Their chemistry is radioactive))))
I mean the point is Armand is so desperate for love
Yes totally agree
Totally agree with you about claudia i feel bad for her
Nah.
I wouldn't say Daniel is robotic, more so lacks empathy.
right that’s what I meant
This is a terrible adaption

Then ignore it, don't watch it and go hate troll elsewhere. Like what's the use of hate watching something? Just begone, troll.
@@Angelicwings1 It's a reaction to the 3rd episode of season 2 of the series that you don't like. What are you even doing here?
