I really liked BOTW and what it brought to Zelda, but there is something about TOTK that actually speaks Zelda to me and I can't really explain it that well.
I hope they put either ocarina of time 3d on switch 2, or a remake

The Switch is also where I finally finished Minish Cap. Was so glad to finally play that on the TV as I don't bother with handheld much.
You aren't the only that noticed the performance issues in some of the Zelda games. One of the most famous youtube channel that does technical reviews in games called Digital Foundry often complimented how good Zelda games are on the Switch from a technical standpoint while also complaining about performance issues.
I hope the Switch 2 will be able to fix the performance to at least be able to keep the frame rates consistent since it's supposed to have power of at least PS4 before including DLSS.

I have never played any legend of zelda game but they look fun.
I've played legend of Zelda ever since itts debut on the Nintendo entertainment system and all the Zelda games are actually decent except for legend of Zelda 2

Insane of Zelda for switch is a mix world. Few good few bad for sure. I love lot remake but 2 recent open worlds eh. And side games the mix bag. So Zelda type games at it different spot. Guess depends on you likes.
At least it's taste based, unlike Pokémon which managed to release stinker after stinker after stinker

It's disappointing that out of all eight Legend of Zelda games on the Switch, three of them are unoriginal ports/remakes, one was released alongside the Wii U version, and one being a crossover game. That leaves only three Switch exclusive Legend of Zelda games.
We shouldn't need any more Switch remakes.
3 is a lot though. Most Nintendo systems received the same or fewer. When you consider the fact that we got multiple remakes & re-releases on top of that, I think Nintendo really treated us with Zelda on the Switch.
didnt like breath of the wild. Annoying stamina and climbing mechanics. Weapons actually break and healing is this bizarre binding system. there is no real path or narrative. Then there are no dungeons. Just random unconnected caves.
